Hadnt much of a choice @Muriel84 DSD decided to join us last night in bed after 3 lol, so was either be in pain and have her feet kicking my back and her hands holding my hair or get up for a while and be in agony in peace haha!! Shes only 2 but god does she know how to take up the whole bed lol

@nursey1993 haha sounds like my 3 year old. But you gotta love them. Mine makes me laugh and told me I looked extra pregnant yesterday.

I'm not having any signs of labour but after taking antibiotic for the water infection...it stings when I pee. Also realised the sore bump feeling it pain in my abdomen is probably from the infection (only when I sleep) I hope it goes away before I give birth...it's not a nice feeling. Maybe I'll buy cranberry juice tomorrow.

Anyone else fed up of braxton hicks yet? The most useless things ever

@TeaPiglet omg yes. I’m having so many regular pathetic braxton hicks! I was awake during the night hands on my belly trying to coax them into something more productive! Xxx

@faithfulbird20 heard cranberry juice is good also drink plenty of water. Washing the area with warm water after going toilet also helps. Xx

Thank guys 😊 @TeaPiglet @Safxxx @Muriel84 It's been a looong journey and although I've been through every emotion possible lately and I'm disappointed my body hasn't cooperated, I'll be glad to move to the next stage now, however it needs to happen.

I've never had to be induced before though so this balloon is going to be a new experience, although I'm sure it's not gonna be one for the bucket list 😁 x

@TeaPiglet yes !! Count me in for being fed up of BH. So annoying as I sometimes get them in the middle of a work call and then I zone out of whatever was being discussed. 😂 I have one more week of WFH before I start maternity leave. Can’t wait!!

Braxton hicks are a pain, they get you all hopeful and then lead to nothing !

I have been getting a lot of lightning pain and can feel the baby really pushing down on my cervix for the last couple of nights, taken my breath away a couple of times, but then wake up with no symptoms other than a constant heavy feeling down there .

Hi guys hope you're all well im 40+4 today and really feeling fed up now. I can't hack people texting all the time for updates when there are none...my brother keeps asking 'am I an uncle yet' ...I may need to kill him soon.
I've not had any signs so far but did have a 1minute achey cramp type pain in my lower left back about 2 hours ago...could tennis be a slow start or do you guys think im clutching at straws? Thanks

Lovely seeing all the baby news and reading how everyone is progressing. I went overdue with both my other 2 children so much sympathy to those of you waiting! I think that will be me in few weeks too!

Had my 38w apt today and the midwife was going to do me a sweep then changed her mind as she wanted some more info from my most recent hospital appointment. I was gutted! Have to wait till next appointment now. Does seem the decision on giving sweeps is a bit random reading what some of you have put!

Well after going for a just over 3 mile walk today, absolutely nothing has happened. It hasn't started contractions up again, just got a bad back from pushing myself to far!!! And now I have everyone texting constantly "any news?" And i want to poke them in face - moan over!!!

Positive side- it does mean I wangled a day free of other DC so after the walk managed a good 2 hour nap! And DH has been teasmaid for me all day ☕😁 hes a good 'un

I saw my MW tday, i told her my consultant wants me booked in on my due date for induction, but i rather wait. She agreed and arranged another over the phone call consultation to discuss it and push it foward. She also said most sweeps don't work before 40wks and said she will see me next week to discuss it and either she will sweep it then or after my due date, but she said upto 10 days over due is fine. As i have not been over due with my other kids she said not to worry....as i suspected baby is head low down but not engaged, which is expected. Xx

@babbit87 atleast your being looked aftered ❤ your baby is surely playing games lol

I'm booked for a balloon induction bang on 40 weeks but I don't think I want it now. There's no need for it as everything is going as it should, I'm in two minds about refusing as I'm booked for a sweep at 40+2 anyway. What would you guys do?

@TeaPiglet i refused my induction on my due date, i will push the date foward and if it comes down to it i rather have a sweep at 40+wks
If you have got your sweep booked then go for it, if it works great if not you could then go for induction later. Xx

@Clockspanner My midwife said sweeps don't work before 40wks. Best you have next week closer to your due date. Xx

@TeaPiglet I'm due to have a sweep next week I'll be 39+3 then another one on the following week if nothing. My MW just said it is worth a try to try an avoid the need for induction. I've said I'll see how I feel next week whether I want it or not! Xx

@Safxxx that sounds really positive - she’s on your side and agrees with what you want to do. Good that you had time to have that conversation.

So I lost a big bit of mucous plug this afternoon. Really surprised me cos I’d had thought the midwife would’ve got it all out when she did the sweep. Promising sign tho? Definitely more crampy today.

@babbit87 I fell asleep for 2 hours too! 😱 unintentionally. Hope I sleep ok tonight. Also managed a 45min waddle spurred on by the excitement of losing my plug 🤣 x x x

@TeaPiglet @Safxxx I went in for CTG today and a MW has booked me for induction on due date due to low AFI. A junior doctor told me earlier on Monday when I went for scan for AFI that no matter what they wont let me go beyond 40 weeks due to low fluid levels. So I am in no position but to agree with them I feel. I have another growth and AFI scan booked for Monday hopefully baby is putting on weight. I really hope I labour naturally before due date 🤞🏽
