Hi guys!! After 22 hrs of labor Lydia Jean was finally born this afternoon 2-10-21 she was 6.8 pounds and she’s beautiful.. I v been pretty exhausted today and in a good amount of pain. The anesthesiologist had trouble inserting the epidural and finally got it after 6 tries so the back area is pretty sore and sensitive at the moment.. will be reading through everyone’s comments after while!!!

@Muriel84 absolutely the best way keep positive & distracted. I'm trying to keep my mind occupied with other things at the moment otherwise it so easy to obsess over due date. Feeling a lot better this morning thank you, had a better nights sleep last night that always helps!

So last night started having contractions slowing building up to 15 minutes apart so DH takes DC to my mums, this continues for 7 hours, awake til 2am then..... nothing. Nada. Zilch. All stopped. What are you playing at baby no. 3???!?!?! I'm exhausted!!!! Genuinely thought it was coming. Sandwiches ready by the front door and everything!!!

@babbit87 no way so what was all that about? I think get it checked out see how much your dilated, maybe the progress has slowed down and will pick up again?

Thanks @TeaPiglet I think maybe your right, just going to be a long slow labour this time round (my other 2 were quick!) Had the classic "clear out" (sorry tmi) trip to the loo this morning so maybe a bracing walk in the cold at a good pace as no DC today will help move things along!! Tired but also nervous and excited 😁

@Safxxx spoke to MW in delivery last night, apparently stop/start labours are quite common the more pregnancies you have? She didn't seem too worried as long as baby is still moving which they are (dont I know it!)

@jbx10 so true. I slept badly last night and feel like crap this morning! Combination of hip pain, constant braxton hicks all night and feeling sick. Had some mild cramps too. Going to lounge around a bit then get up and do some stuff to keep busy.

@babbit87 that must be so frustrating! I hope things start up again and those sandwiches get eaten soon! X x x

@babbit87 that's not TMI haha, this is the thread where mucus and trots are applauded and encouraged haha. Just be careful if it's frozen over where you are. Some women said a bath helps bring on the contractions

My last day (12 days over 😩) before I head off for induction early tomorrow, so by the time weekends over I should finally have left the overdue club 🙌
Good bloody riddance too, it's been worse than trying to get out of my gym membership 😂 x

I feel your pain @Muriel84, up from 4.30-7 this morning with cramps and back pain so sat on the ball watching netflix for a while downstairs & had breakfast lol. Got DP & DSD out the door this morning and back into bed for me, hoping to wake up feeling a bit less achey & tired lol

@ExhaustedMumofsix i will sure miss your humour lol when we come to the end of this journey 🤣
