@ExhaustedMumofsix sorry to hear it was uncomfortable but hopefully it starts something. If not then let us know how balloon induction is, mines next Saturday and I'm hoping I can still move around etc but never know with covid

@jbx10 thank you 🥰 6lbs sounds v good for 37 weeks! As long as she’s following the curve. Mine has been along the curve too. But my bump measurements have been all over the shop.

@ExhaustedMumofsix 😂I guess they learn the tickling lingo when they train! She gleefully showed me a handful of blood 😬 it wasn’t how I expected, uncomfortable is definitely the word. I thought there’d be more sharp pain than there was. It’s just hard to hold still when someone is doing that. I did swear. 😬 oops x x x

@Teapiglet I will do, mw did say to me (and the leaflet) that once they put the balloon in, as long as they are happy with everything, I'll be able to go home and do everything as normal. Moving around, showering etc, only thing off limits is sex lol! Not sure getting busy will be on my min to be honest 😂

@Muriel84 😂 I think I grunted quite a bit lol, she definitely gave it a thorough sweep. I'd forgotten what it felt like to be made into a human finger puppet haha x

@jbx10 definitely push your MW for birthing centre. 6lbs is a good weight and since then til its born she will put on more, so no reason to not let you use the birthing centre. Xx

@stef92 I was told by my midwife that they wouldn't induce until 40+13 if I went over and then another one told me before that no more than 40 weeks so I'm not sure what's going on, was kinda hoping I didn't have to wait too long after my due date on 26th Feb so been walking every day when I have the energy.

I keep checking waiting for baby announcements. It's strange how excited we get for each other when we don't even know each other haha. Love a good bit of positivity these days though

Had a few days away from the thread (who knew babies took up so much time! Haha) seems there's been a lot of action.

@Safxxx I know! That's why I can't understand what all the fuss has been about to honest everything else has been showing fine at each scan 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'll definitely ask MW tomorrow to push for birth centre especially as they'll agree it anyway at my 39 week scan

@TeaPiglet I keep checking too 😊 isn't it lovely, and the positivity we all need at the moment. Baby keeps me up most nights as she's sooo active as soon as I go to bed 😁 so I'm forever scrolling to see if there are any updates

Hello lovelies. Congratulations to all the new mummies I’ve missed!

Our little boy arrived this morning at 39w5d 🥰 woke up this morning with mild period pain-type cramps and he was born less than 4 hours later! I’d thought I was being silly going to the hospital so quickly (community midwife said to go when I was getting 2x in 10 min) but was fully dilated on arrival, so thank god I didn’t wait!!

Best of luck to those still waiting - looking forward to hearing your updates soon!

@Lnbarne similar situation- my fluid levels have also been at the lower end. 5.4 at 36 weeks, 5.2 at 37 weeks (they’re monitoring me weekly since then) - they’ve told me that I’ll be induced at 39 weeks if I don’t go in naturally before that. Good luck with your induction. 🍀 🤞🏻 Do let me know how you get on with it. 😊

@LBoz39 I'm guessing different trusts have different rules? We've had so much snow I don't think walking will be a good idea for me as I'm clumsy at the best of times 🤕 youre due a few days after me.. hopefully we don't get induced 🤞🏻

I had a Covid test in hospital and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, to be honest! Hope it goes well!

It could be worse in china their using the Anal covid tests as its more reliable 😲
