Oh wow I knew today was going to be a busy baby day! Congratulations mamas!

I am also (im)patiently waiting for mine now..... had 39 week midwife today, fully engaged which is good but still no real signs of anything happening. Booked in for a sweep at 40+1 as although I didnt want any intervention i have had enough now (psychologically) I thinks it's because we are all isolating pre-birth so we are literally hanging around waiting for a baby to arrive.

@babbit87 thats great its fully engaged. Hopefuly not too long now 🤞

@Safxxx you were right come back freezing cold!! But was nice to get out an have some fresh air. Oh that's good, I have my MW app tomorrow but doing it over the phone again so no idea if baby's head is engaged or not but I know she's head down quite low 🤷🏽‍♀️

@babbit87 that's a good point. Just sat around with only one thing to do... wait for our babies! It is definitely making time drag.

@Muriel84 haha I know! I have had no signs at all yet other than some slight pelvic pain but I think that's just pressure more than anything. Are you booked in for a MW app at 40 weeks?

Back from my 38 week appointment and they've said baby is 4/5 engaged and that he's likely not going to be here on due date in 2 weeks. They'll do a sweep at my next appointment and provisionally book induction for the 2nd March in case he doesn't turn up before then. Apparently they aren't letting anyone get to 42 weeks at my trust.

Congrats to all the new mummy’s! And good luck to those who have gone into labour and those waiting too, I have been losing days due to lack of sleep but I wouldn’t have it any other way x

@Stef92 stay positive anything can change, so its true they are pushing for inductions after 40wks.
Try walking more, its helped mine go low down. Although not all engaged but thats expected as its not my first pregnancy. Xx

I've cleaned the entire house today including scrubbing the bathroom and my belly has significantly dropped now but does that even mean anything?

@TeaPiglet wow how you getting all that energy girl?? I'm absolutely shattered due to lack of sleep over these few days.

Just got back from my appointments mw is sending me to hospital for induction because my fluids are a little low and my cervix is ready enough..

@ExhaustedMumofsix if baby grows go on the cat you have to put a picture up 😂😂

It's quite snowy where I am so I've gone from looking for signs that something is happening to asking baby to stay put until the snow and ice melt 😬😬

@Lnbarne how are you feeling? Are they admitting you today?

Feeling fine a little crampy since she did a sweep but from what I gathered I’m gonna be induced today.. little anxious and nervous

This mw has an accent that is really hard for me to cut through and she talks really fast but that’s from what I understood I may get to the hospital and be sent home idk.. my fluid isn’t super low and my cervix is only 2 centimeters dilated so I feel as though she is overreacting a bit

@Lnbarne hopefuly all goes to plan 🤞so you got a 2nd sweep today? And the reason for induction is low fluid?
Bet you was'nt expecting all that, same time your getting closer to meet your little one soon 🤗

@safxxx Yea she said my fluid is supposed to be at 5 and it’s only 4.9 and she said my cervix is ready so there’s no point in putting it off but my cervix is only 80 percent effaced and 2 centimeters dilated

@Lnbarne what would you like to do? Wait at home see if you progress further yourself? Or go hospital and start the induction? Or do you not get any choice? Sounds like MW is rushing you, but i guess shes being precautious over the low fluids. What ever happens hope you deliver a healthy baby. Xx

@TeaPiglet I think I'm going to have to have a cleaning spree tomorrow and scrub some floors sounds like that might be the secret in getting everyone's baby's dropping low! 😂

@jbx10 yup just back from my 40 week appointment. Never a dull moment! Had my sweep which was interesting. From palpating my abdomen I don’t think the midwife thought the head was going to be as low as it is. She seemed very excited when she “tickled the baby’s head”. She had a good rummage 😬. I guess she took out my bloody show! She said the head is protruding in the sac and is good to go once my waters break.

Then afterwards she went to check the heart rate again cos it was a bit low before and she really struggled to find it. When she did it was low. Called another midwife in. She struggled too. So was taken round to maternity assessment for a CTG. All ok fortunately. Had to wake the baby up using every trick in the book. Trust my baby to sleep through a sweep. Next appointment 41 weeks. Hoping I won’t need it.

@Safxxx it's far too icy/snowy round mine to attempt to go on walks as I'll end up falling flat on my backside and won't be able to get up. I'm going to try to get him to engage more by going on my ball but I'm quite relaxed if he stays in this week. I asked why they induce at 41 and not 42 (like nhs website says) and she couldn't answer me, just said it had been changed x

@Muriel84 glad baby's heartbeat all turned out to be ok! Oh wow baby is ready to go then once your waters break how exciting, could very much arrive on your due date! 😬 are you having to give birth on the labour ward with baby measuring on the small side?

They had said to me at my last scan That if everything is ok at 39 week scan (next Thursday) then I can have baby in birth centre but if she comes before then then labour ward. But I'm going to try push birth centre tomorrow at my MW appointment xx

After consulting with another doctor and getting her opinion on the matter they will be keeping me and inducing me.

@jbx10 it could do! I still feel like it’ll be next week though. Trying to have a little bounce on my ball now but so exhausted. Aiming for birthing centre. Though my bump measures small I’ve had three growth scans at 34, 36 and 38 weeks and they’ve all been fine. Baby is pretty average sized.

Fingers crossed all is fine at your scan next week. Shame they couldn’t book you that the same time as your midwife appointment so you could make a plan better. I had my 36 week scan after my midwife appointment. Made no sense cos couldn’t go through birth preferences. X x x

You that you won't be waiting another week 🤞🏽 I know it is silly really I'm going to mention it to the MW tomorrow see if she can push for birth centre she's still measuring small but following her curve nicely so I don't see why it should be a problem! Was estimated 6lbs at my 37 week scan so that seems like a healthy weight to me 🤷🏽‍♀️

Well I had my sweep (forgot how uncomfortable that was! 😣) mw said my cervix was thick but she managed to get a finger in lol, had a bit of a show too. Baby's low down apparently and mine said the same thing about tickling the baby's head! @Muriel84 😂.

She's booked me in for the balloon induction on friday so hopefully I'll go spontaneously before then.

Was feeling a little crampy/heavy just after but now I feel absolutely fine. Just gotta wait and see now 😊🤞
