Thought I'd pop on here, and see how many of us are awake (feeding or symptoms!).
My constant period-like pain is keeping me awake. How it is that I have it all night for the last 3 nights, but nothing during the day! X

No worries, I mean obviously I can only speak about my experience but for anyone going into hospital I think be reassured the midwives are all there doing everything they can for you & know the difficulty of dads not being allowed on all ward. The worst thing I had to do was the covid test, right made me gip when they swabbed my throat 🤣

Good Morning, Everyone

Well l was admitted after all. Day 3 in the hospital. So far, l can't complain lve been treated very well, by everyone.

I'm being observed and baby being monitored as well. Lack of sleep is my biggest bugbear, its very noisy at night .

Resigned myself that this is the best place for me, as antibiotics are 3x a day via IV.

I hope everyone else is well and keeping safe.

Fell asleep around 4am been wide awake since 6.30am 😩 been down had a light breakfast lol back in.bed to see if i can fall asleep again....

@MissKhan1990 glad to know your doing good and they are looking after you. Hopefuly you recover soon and get to go home and get proper rest. Xx

Does anyone else have to lie down or sit for a bit after a hair wash shower or am I just unfit? 😂

I dread the hair wash shower @TeaPiglet 🙈🤣 Stupidly decided last night I'd go full works last night & TANNED!! Awful decision, took me about an hour 🤣 But i dont look like a foetus today so it was worth it lol!!
The sleepless nights are getting more frequent ladies!! Suppose we may get use to them lol

@nursey1993 I am in awe of you! How on earth you could reach everywhere to tan? I cant put my socks on without getting out of breath!!!!!

Trust me @babbit87 it was not a pretty sight 🤣🤣 The last time i tried to tan it was that awkward bending i missed out a foot cause it took so long to do one leg, didnt realise till next morning lol. My partner did eventually help me last night after watching me in various awkward positions, the bump really does not make life easy 🙄🤣

Hubby is painting baby's room this morning so I've stayed out of his way to avoid the fumes etc. I've made some soup for the freezer which should normally take 40 mins and it took over an hour and a half, I'm now absolutely shattered. No idea how I managed to stay on my feet for that length of time

@Stef92 I'm looking forward to the day when simple tasks don't leave me shattered!!

@babbit87 putting socks on are up there with the most difficult tasks at the mo 🤣

These last few weeks are so tough. I hope you ladies up all night manage some rest today.

I’m feeling ok just terrible nights sleep thanks to excruciating hip pain and cramps in both calves whenever I turned over. I can’t wait to sleep on my back. I have cramps like period pain which I thought were my bowels but they’re coming on stronger now. Fairly constant ache, just like period pain. Anyone else had this? X x x

@Muriel84 sounds like that could be early stages of labour! 🤞 if it keeps getting more severe and constant id consider timing it.

Mine was mostly hip pains last night, gave up on sleep in the end bit of telly and a bowl of cereal took my mind off the aching! Finally got some sleep in the early hours.

@Muriel84 I get you! I've been having constant period like pains and cramps for weeks, they've been getting heavier and more uncomfortable recently so hopefully it's a good sign for us 🤞🏼❤️

Still having brown discharge (sorry tmi) today but called my maternity unit and they said sounds like nothing at all to worry about so that's put my mind at ease 😊

@babbit87 @babydust2412 thanks guys that’s good to know. Yeah they are quite uncomfortable and I feel a bit sick. Not sure if it’s nerves tho? Moved around and they’ve eased now but still feels uncomfortable low down and heavy too. When they come they’re constant too, like period pain was when I was a teenager, so can’t time them. X x x

@Muriel84 mine have been the exact same! So nice to hear someone else has been having the same, they're constant and very very uncomfortable at times so nothing to time 😩 x
I've also been feeling sicky the past few days, very unpleasant so I get how you feel ☹️❤️

@babydust2412 poor you that’s rubbish you’ve felt this way for days! I don’t know what to do with myself so I’m just sat staring into space! Maybe should try some distraction... tis nice to know you’re feeling the same! Wish I knew what was going on 🙈 x x x

@babydust2412 @Muriel84 glad I'm not the only one who has sickness again - everyday like clockwork about 10.30 I'm sick. Feel really awful all morning before and totally fine about 20 minutes after? Nesting kicked in again - todays task - scrubbing all the window seals with some Cillit Bang!! 🤣 done too much, now sat on the sofa and baby is doing somersaults

@MissKhan1990 how are you getting on? Hope you're getting some rest and not too bored in hospital

I really need this nesting to kick in with me 😂 so much to tidy but no energy to do it. I've just been giving my OH a list of jobs to do each day. I have managed to bake a cake today, but that's more for greed purposes because I fancied a lemon drizzle cake. 🙈😂

@jbx10 😋 lemon drizzle cake! Lush! I keep tasking DH too - yesterday made him get all the spare paint tins out the garage and touch up EVERY room in the house! 🤭 I am very low on ingredients at the mo but might have to rustle up some scones now....

Hi all just stumbled across this group...I feel like I wish I had joined along time ago...I'm due tomorrow! Just had a quick read through and so nice seeing how supportive everyone is and basically going through the same thing despite every pregnancy being unique :-)
I've not got much more to add other than thanks and I'm keen to follow everyone's progress and have taken on board alot of the chat :-)
back to braxton hicks and date and walnut cake with raspberry leaf tea for me :-)
