Not 7th but 11th, is that close enough to join? ;)

How’s things going for you so far? Is this your first?

I’m first time pregnant 🤰 spent today trying to find Black Friday baby bargains 🤭

PFin · 27/11/2020 15:28

Not 7th either but im 15th May and getting larger by the second! Lol

Tigerlily08 · 27/11/2020 15:46

I am also due 11th May with my first. I was determined to buy a travel system in the Black Friday sales but my DP convinced me to wait!

Is it just me, or are you guys in that weird limbo where you just don't feel pregnant? No more nausea or fatigue but also no movements yet!

PlanBea · 27/11/2020 16:21

My due date for moved from the 8th to the 6th so I've bunny hopped over the 7th Grin

@Tigerlily08 I'm so annoyed that black Friday is now as there's loads I would probably want to buy like travel systems, cots, furniture etc but I want to see things in person and all the shops are obviously shut! I'm hoping the January sales are good this year to make up for it haha

Tigerlily08 · 27/11/2020 16:31

@PlanBea that's exactly what he said to me... especially for the travel system so we can actually try before we buy. Damn him for being logical/ reasonable Grin

asabee · 27/11/2020 19:01

@HotDiggidy2017 haha sure! We're pretty close. How's it going for you

@PFin haha myself! Gained 2.5 lbs in a month I dunno if that's ok!

@Tigerlily08 I know that feeling!!! I'm tempted to go for a private scan. I can bet you I felt some light flutters yesterday!

@PlanBea I am at a loss. Dunno whether it's too early to start buying stuff! I'm so eager

@HotDiggidy2017 yes it's my first after 5 chemicals! So yes I'm already soooo excited and in love! I'm 18 weeks today !

Hello, I am due on the 4th May Smile I am first time pregnant 🤰 I have my 20 weeks scan on the 16th December. I am very anxious about it ...

DiabeticFirstBaby · 27/11/2020 21:52

I'm officially due 7th May but will be induced at the latest 23rd April due to my diabetes. First time mum too! 20 week scan on 17th Dec. Excited and nervous to have the scan but will then start buying things. Just want all to be ok! Not looking forward to giving birth at all!

SpringDream · 27/11/2020 22:06

I'm a FTM due 2nd May. I've got my 20 week scan on 14th December. I have a surprisingly big bump which is growing so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

asabee · 27/11/2020 22:11

@Booni and @DiabeticFirstBaby I also have my 20 week scan on the 18th December as well! I'm a bit anxious but I'm more eager to know the sex!
@HotDiggidy2017 I'm so excited I said I was 18weeks! I'm 17 weeks actually ! I can't believe it!

OP posts:
PlanBea · 27/11/2020 23:03

@Tigerlily08 Grin I have one of those logical ones too. I'm usually one but I'm pretty sure pregnancy nesting has taken over!

@asabee ah glad you got your sticky bean! I am lucky I haven't had a miscarriage but it did take nearly 2 years to get to this point so it still doesn't feel real (particularly now morning sickness has gone). Just feeling fat at the moment! Grin

Numbersarefun · 27/11/2020 23:08

I don’t think I was due then, but I was born then! It’s a good day - sometimes it falls on bank holiday Monday and you get a day off for your birthday!

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 28/11/2020 09:00

Hi all FTM I'm a bit behind all of you 14 weeks Monday my 20 week scan isn't until 11 January due date 31 May

Is everyone finding out what they are having?

I hope it's ok to join. I feel a bit in limbo apart from some cramps on and off which I'm told are normal I'm feeling ok and no bump yet

Have you had your 16 week midwife appointment i was just wondering what it's about?

Congratulations to you all 💙💗

DiabeticFirstBaby · 28/11/2020 09:18

We are going to find out the sex, we both want to. I'm 17 weeks now, had my 16 week appointment last week. From what i've seen on here, each trust is different with if they are offering face to face appointments. Due to my diabetes i have regular phone and face to face. On my 16 week appointment she did BP and dipped wee, took more blood (diabetes - every 4 weeks!) and listened to heartbeat with doppler.

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 28/11/2020 09:45

@DiabeticFirstBaby mine is face to face. I didn't realise they listen to the heartbeat that's exciting

I think we are going to find out as well really struggling with names so it might help 😂

PFin · 28/11/2020 09:53

Yes im in northern ireland and with 2nd or plus babies you dont get a 16 week appointment and FTM'S 16 weeks is via phone! Whole set up is so confusing. My 20 weeks scan is on 23rd dec hope they are willing to tell me if its a girl or boy, id love to leave it as a surprise but dont think i can!

DiabeticFirstBaby · 28/11/2020 09:59

@ThirdTimeLuckyIHope Hope you get to hear the heartbeat! Apparently some trusts don't look for it as it can be difficult to find and then can cause anxiety that somethings wrong. My midwife found it straight away though and was so comforting to hear! Hope you get to hear it! 🤞🏻

Tigerlily08 · 28/11/2020 10:55

I was meant to have my 16 week check up on 1st December but currently in isolation due to partner being COVID positive so now re-booked for 8th Dec when I will be 18 weeks. My one is face to face and she is going to take blood and urine sample, check BP and listen to the heart.

@DiabeticFirstBaby I am also Diabetic and pregnant with my first. How are you finding it? My sugars are all over the place but mainly hypos that I just cannot feel. Ive been on the Dexcom for just over a week which has been a godsend!

DiabeticFirstBaby · 28/11/2020 14:20

Nice to meet someone else in the same position @Tigerlily08 It's been a learning curve! I use the Libre, have done for a couple of years now and makes such a difference. I've been really tight on my control, double amount of insulin and injecting 30 mins before food. Keeping within limits but also having a lot of hypos, feel like I snack a lot to catch them after a meal. Yeh my hypo awareness has deff reduced, having much lower sugars before i feel anything. They said that was normal though! My care has been really good though and feel well looked after, what about you?

asabee · 28/11/2020 14:20

Hi hi @ThirdTimeLuckyIHope it's very okay to join! You're welcome. And yes like @DiabeticFirstBaby we're also finding the Sex on the 18th December together. We're doing that at our anomaly scan so yes anxious and excited at the same time.
I also get to do the glucose test every four weeks.
Does any one have a tiny bump peeking out especially when you lay on your back ?

asabee · 28/11/2020 14:22

How does it feel like being especially cos you're pregnant with the symptoms and all ? @DiabeticFirstBaby @Tigerlily08

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 28/11/2020 15:46

Has anyone been suffering with cramps they really knock me out and I have to lay down or get in the bath - they aren't constant but when I do get them it's very painful. I hope everything's alright in there

PlanBea · 28/11/2020 18:05

@ThirdTimeLuckyIHope I got them really badly in the first trimester particularly. About 6-10 weeks every so often DH would get a text to bring me heat (hot water bottles or heat pads) because I couldn't even speak. They have eased off a lot, I still get cramps but nowhere near as bad. EPU did a telephone consultation and said as there was no blood there wasn't anything to worry about, it's just the ligaments stretching out. I hope yours ease off soon too!
