@PlanBea thank you 😊

Sansa87 · 28/11/2020 18:16

Due 7th May, first baby!

asabee · 28/11/2020 18:52

@ThirdTimeLuckyIHope I had the same thing three days ago and it was terrible. But so far I haven't felt any cramps. My midwife also said that so far as there's no blood we're good!
Thanks @PlanBea for the tip !

@DiabeticFirstBaby they're definitely looking after me too - I was on the Libre but kept having severe overnight hypos that would last the whole night and I wouldn't wake up for them. When I did wake up to my alarm, I'd spend the day feeling like I've been hit by a bus so they sorted the Dexcom which alarms and wakes me up when I'm going low. Its annoying but handy. Glad they're looking after you too!

@asabee touch wood I feel lucky that I've had a pretty smooth run so far even with Diabetes. The worst was trying to juggle carb intake when nausea was bad but my nausea eased almost bang on 12 weeks.

@ThirdTimeLuckyIHope I've been having some cramping in the low right side of tummy and also randomly in my groin. Im assuming it's just stretching pains. My hot water bottle has been a godsend! Hope you feel better soon x

HotDiggidy2017 · 29/11/2020 08:17

@asabee it’s understandable, I think we would all love to add a week on ;)

Have you got much of a bump yet? I feel really flat still, would love to be showing at Christmas but starting to wonder it might be longer 🤔

Glad to hear others will be finding out the sex too! We’ve got the anomaly scan 22nd so we’re gonna get them to write it down and then we can read it Christmas Day, reckon it’ll be the best Christmas present we’ve ever had 🥰

barbiemummy20 · 29/11/2020 08:32

I am due 7th May, we are having a little boy 💙has our gender scan on Friday! So far our pram is ordered through mamas and papas Black Friday and have bought some clothes but other than that we will do the rest in new year! I am still suffering with sickness but hoping it will start to ease soon 🙏 I have my 20+ week scan booked for 31st December and 1st proper face to face midwife appt on 6th January 👌🏻 I hope everyone is keeping well x

DiabeticFirstBaby · 29/11/2020 09:43

I've had no sickness or nausea so been really lucky! starting to get a bump, deff more rounded, can still get in my skinny jeans but they are a bit snug. We haven't bought anything yet, want to wait until 20 week scan is done. The black Friday deals were tempting but hopefully Jan sales will be good too!

Ijustlikefood · 29/11/2020 09:49

Due date 8th for me

@HotDiggidy2017 I feel the same that I'm quite small and getting a bit anxious as I thought I would be showing more at this point but just feel like I have a very small bump

How's everyone's else's "bump" coming along are you looking obviously pregnant ?

Tigerlily08 · 29/11/2020 11:34

I have a very slight bump that my partner and I notice if im laying down but that's it! Definitely thought I'd be bigger by now.

Are your partners allowed to attend scans with you? Mine isn't in our hospital and my 20 week scan is on Christmas Eve so we have the gender scan booked privately on 8th December so he can be there. It really sucks, feel like he is missing out on loads as he hasn't been to any scans yet. The dating scan was on his birthday so they allowed me to record a small clip x

barbiemummy20 · 29/11/2020 12:03

@Tigerlily08 we are allowed partner for scans here, it's so bizarre how hospitals are all different in terms of policy! My scan is Hogmanay 💙

asabee · 29/11/2020 12:05

@barbiemummy20 yaaay congratulations! I'm also tempted to start shopping but I'll just wait till after the anomaly scan.

@HotDiggidy2017, @Tigerlily08 ,@Ijustlikefood I do have a tiny bump peeking out when I lay flat on my back. It's basically like a tennis ball in my lower abdomen . It's really cute. I go to the bed and lie like 10x a day just to be sure it's there 🤣

asabee · 29/11/2020 12:17

@DiabeticFirstBaby lucky you! From the old wives' tale no symptoms means a boy haha let's wait and see how true that is!
I've gained some weight and can't fit into my jeans anymore

@Tigerlily08 yes our partners are allowed in...It feels better when they're involved

I was just scrolling on here for something and I saw your thread literally jump out at me and got so freaked out 😂 as I AM due exactly on May 7th with my first! And then saw your 20 week scan is on the 18th Dec, as is mine! Not so wild I guess but still, blew me away a bit! First trimester was a ball ache, my God, so glad I'm feeling more human now. Still tired and a bit nauseous but nothing compared to before. We are going to find out what we are having and I really liked the idea someone else shared on here of getting them to write it down for us and then we open it on Christmas!! That's way better than finding out in the room. Oooh I've got butterflies! I've felt the baby move too, ever so slight but unmistakable flutters, can't wait for them to get more! Been super tired this week but I read somewhere that baby is going through a big growth spurt at the moment so that makes sense. I'm starting to show a little now too, like a little pot belly! Thanks for starting this thread it's been good to read other comments too!

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 29/11/2020 13:06

Thanks for all your help I'm sure the cramps are made worse by a persistent UTI that just will not go away shall be ringing the doctors again in the morning for another prescription

I've been so tired this weekend I think I've slept more than I've been awake

I'm debating whether to book a private gender scan before Christmas or just be patient 🤔🤔 I'll be 16 weeks on the 14th so can book it after that

asabee · 29/11/2020 17:09

@EmeraldPeacock haha that's great news! I'm stoked too. Pretty excited I have a pregnancy twin then. The first trimester was crazy for me too but after reading what people went through I'm a bit thankful I won't lie. Nausea comes and goes but Overall I feel so so much better. I'm glad I started this thread too...I'm learning a lot and it feels good knowing you have other ladies in a similar boat!

@HotDiggidy2017 you've given us a great gender reveal idea. I think I'll take that too. thank you 😊

OP posts:
asabee · 29/11/2020 17:11

@ThirdTimeLuckyIHope it's gonna be alright. You'd be outta the 1st trimester soon and you'd feel much better. You can do a private scan if it'll make you happy 😊

Hey everyone

Im due 5th May. First time mum so everything is brand new

Hope you all are doing well! Anyone pick up any BF bargains for baby?

HotDiggidy2017 · 29/11/2020 19:36

So glad others have just small bumps too! Im being told to just enjoy it whilst lasts but... we’ll think you all know why that’s not likely!

@EmeraldPeacock and @asabee happy to help on the Christmas idea ;) the temptation to find our sooner is tough to resist, think it will be worth it though!

Ah so cute about the little flutters, I’ve been having them too and it’s so magical.

So with you on the lowing down to feel your uterus poking out, can’t get up in the morning without checking it out. My partner poked my belly the other morning and I swear we felt the lump move over to the left! Can’t wait till it a proper bump!!

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 29/11/2020 21:59

@asabee I caved and booked a private scan for 19th December mainly because I'm feeling anxious but also because I'm impatient 😂

Leopardprintx · 01/12/2020 12:57

@asabee

Hi ladies, I'm due on the 7th of May with my first! I want to hear other soon to be moms as well and talk about everything baby and us till we're due. How about that Smile
Not due on the 7th, but due on the 12th I'm so excited but things don't seem real yet! I think I'm starting to feel the baby move this week (I'm 17 wks tomorrow) has anyone else?!
asabee · 01/12/2020 23:49

Oh yes felt the strongest movement today @Leopardprintx I smiled like a fool 🤣

OP posts:
DiabeticFirstBaby · 02/12/2020 16:51

I'm 17+ 5 today and haven't felt any movement yet. People have said it's like bubbles popping or fluttering, is that what you have felt?
Also are people getting random twinges? last night in the same place for a good few hours i was getting a twinge in my lower abdomen, every so often then it just stopped?!

Slough123 · 03/12/2020 20:33

I am 18+1 and so far dont believe I've felt movement yet. But i barely have a bump yet either so maybe thats the reason. No space to move around?

asabee · 03/12/2020 22:41

@DiabeticFirstBaby yes right! For me it's like mild scratches on the inside! I feel like my hubby is already fed up with my shrieks
@Slough123 usually you feel it earlier if you have a posterior placenta I heard and I do have that. Be sure to feel movement in the coming week or two!

OP posts:
PFin · 03/12/2020 22:43

17 weeks tomorrow and ive been feeling movement i felt a few random flutters a few weeks ago and im sure it was baby but people would say its impossible so early but i defo felt it and so have others! @DiabeticFirstBaby those twinges could defo be really early feelings of baby moving, it really does feel like wee twinges at first.
