Hi!

I got my BFP a few days back (well a lot of BFPs as I'm a POAS addict) and my due date is likely to be early August 2021.

Any other ladies out there with similar exciting news in need of chat and support in these strange times please jump on board!

Hello! Congratulations everyone ☺️ my EDD is 6th of August and this is my first. Very nervous but trying to take it day by day.

@PlantMummy87 seemed like a huge task to me too, I filled in the midwife clinic form earlier today though and they called me shortly after. First scan is now 23/12 so that if everything's good we can tell my MIL on Christmas Day. She's a sweet southern American lady who is desperate for grandbabies and doesn't even know we've been thinking about it. I'm almost more excited for her than for us 😅

Anyone else peeing constantly at night? My bladder keeps waking me up 😒

Twinkle1989 · 27/11/2020 21:18

What symptoms are you all having?
My sickness appears to have subsided, I've got sore boobs and feel bloated and gassy (sorry 🤢)
I've never had nipples quite so sore 😳 feels like bad sunburn 😆 all for a good cause!!!

booksandmore · 27/11/2020 21:25

Aside from my irritability, I have been quite tired and crampy on and off but that's about it. No sign of the sore boobs yet... I find it so fascinating how differently everyone's bodies react. I remember last time it was about 6 weeks when my symptoms really kicked it so it is definitely going to be a very different Xmas for all of us (and not just due to Covid!), I'll bet!!

Drl94 · 27/11/2020 21:51

I’m exhausted and nauseous quite alot now. Thought it might be work but it defo isn’t. However, no sore boobs yet🙃 (which for now is good)!!

I filled in my form on Monday and heard nothing since and that’s on me being impatient and wanting for them to contact me now😂😂. Did another pregnancy test today (clear blue digital) and it’s moved up to 2-3 weeks and my FRER test is very dark, so that’s keeping me positive!

Thank god it’s the weekend and I can just stay in bed and sleep😂😂

Sleeeeeepy · 28/11/2020 09:50

Hi @NestinginNL ! Your MIL sounds awesome, I bet she'll be over the moon.

I'm not too bad on the weeing front yet (only a matter of time) but my digestion has slowed so I'm really bloated. I've already had to get out my next size up jeans which I've been keeping for the weight journey up and then back down again. I'm usually in mat jeans by about week 9, at least my work colleagues won't be able to see them this time.

Anyone up to anything fun this weekend? We're putting up more Xmas decs

@Sleeeeeepy she's the sweetest. I really hope the vaccine has calmed the world down by then so she can come and visit, we haven't seen her since our wedding over a year ago. I think she'd strap a raft together and paddle across the Atlantic to meet her grandbaby 😅

Urgh yes the bloating. And gas. And I was all burpy and a bit retchy on the dog walk this morning. I was already finding my clothes a little tight thanks to some new puppy comfort eating last month, and now I'm not sure what to do 😂 leggings and dresses till I need maternity clothes I guess!

No major boob soreness yet. I keep checking them but same old.

Sleeeeeepy · 28/11/2020 14:54

@NestinginNL I might have been ok if I hadn't gained those lockdown pounds as well. Thank goodness for leggings!

Mokoblack · 28/11/2020 15:59

I've been waking up feeling sick, sore boobs and cramps! I normally a napper so no change on that front.

Filled in the online referral for my local hospital and they get back to you within 10 working days.

@Sleeeeeepy @NestinginNL I also found a few extra pounds during lockdown!

Memcf2 · 28/11/2020 16:25

I still have no symptoms at all. I do wonder why I spent months symptom spotting. Sometimes wish I felt a little something. It still doesn't feel real. X

JanQi · 28/11/2020 16:47

Hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread, I posted on the other one but this one seems to be busier. I'm 5 weeks today. I had an early miscarriage in September so over the moon to be pregnant again so quickly and praying this one sticks.

Would anyone be interested in a private FB group? I was in one from one of these threads before my miscarriage and it was great.

Sleeeeeepy · 28/11/2020 19:40

Hi @JanQi Congratulations!! I'm sorry it has been a tough journey, everything crossed it's a sticky bean for you. We were talking about an FB group up thread, anyone got any ideas for a non obvious name?

@Memcf2 I'd go for no symptoms if I could but I get how that would also be stressful, a lot of people have nothing at all for ages so try not to worry

Re fb group name...My last group used the flower that represents the month we were due. Just checked August - gladiolus... they are lovely flowers but not such a lovely looking word 😂 In case anyone was interested, the birthstone for August is the peridot which keeps trying to autocorrect to period on my phone so maybe give that one a miss....

booksandmore · 28/11/2020 19:46

On a pregnancy note, I really don't feel pregnant at all today. Keep hoping for a twinge or something to reassure me...

Sleeeeeepy · 28/11/2020 19:49

@booksandmore just to clarify this was directed at your group name suggestions. Lots of people have no symptoms for ages, I've got some but am still anxious if that makes you feel any better!

Hi all hope you don't mind me jumping in.
I'm 38. I have 3 children age 12, 14, and 18. All to my previous partner. I have a new partner now s d we wanted a baby together.
I got a bfp about 2 weeks ago. I didn't have a clue I was pregnant we had stopped trying, I was becoming obsessed.
My last period was 13th October sodden around 20th July.
I have got a scan a week on Wednesday. I'm on pins.
I've had 4 previous miscarriages. Abd lost twins at 21 weeks.
But this is my first pregnancy since my 12 year old daughter.
It doesn't feel real.
I have sore boobs and nipples . And all day nausea.
I got cyclizine of my gp tease itbut it hasn't worked. But im willing to put up with it all for this bean .
How is everyone else feeling,?

Oh forgot to say. On the morning before I got the bfp i had very bad cramping. So thought my period was on its way as it was due that day. I was curled up for 2 hours in pain. Then it just dissapeared. That even still no AF so I tested 😊

Hayleywoody82 · 28/11/2020 20:02

I really should proof read before posting 🙈 fat fingers!!!

MushroomQueen · 28/11/2020 20:25

Hello new posters, I just sat down after cooking and cleaning and putting tree up when my 2 kids and oh. I'm so so tired at 8.30pm, my kids go to bed late ( we don't live in UK)

Had some twinges today as I was carrying heavy shopping ( mental note should try to not do quite as much as previously) it's been 5 years since my last bfp so I've forgotten stuff.

Drl94 · 28/11/2020 20:35

@MushroomQueen I’ve had 2 naps tonight and still exhausted, don’t know how you do it throwing kids into the mix😂!

NestinginNL · 29/11/2020 07:54

I've woken up feeling like an absolute worry factory today (no reason to physically). Those of you that have little ones already, when did it start to feel real like it's really going to happen?

I think being on Mumsnet I've read too many sad stories 😢

Sleeeeeepy · 29/11/2020 09:34

@NestinginNL It felt a lot more real after the first scan, I relaxed more after the 20 week but then later on you're monitoring movements so that's also stressful. It's to get you in the right frame of mind for worrying about your kids I think.

@Hayleywoody82 It's such lovely news, congratulations again 😊 Not long to wait until your scan, how exciting!!

Twinkle1989 · 29/11/2020 09:42

@NestinginNL this is my first baby and I feel exactly the same. I'm worried sick and DP is stressing that my stressing isn't good for baby and I know he is right.
MN probably doesn't help (all the time) as I've read so many stories of CP and MC and it's terrified me. If I wasn't on MN, I doubt I would have worried quite so much. However, I also wouldn't be able to ask people for advice / learn about what's normal - particularly as I haven't told anybody apart from my DP and my parents.
My midwife put my mind at rest and explain that the odds were very much in our favour once date for AF has passed and just advised me not to drink or smoke (I do neither) and she would see me in 3 weeks 😳 she answered all my worries and I felt a million times better! xx

NestinginNL · 29/11/2020 09:49

@Twinkle1989 exactly the same! So many CPs and MC stories. DH found a website for me though which shows the miscarriage probability by date for my age/height/weight so that's helped. It's a much lower probability than I expected! Counting every day as a milestone now ☺️ but yes. First baby and I just have to keep telling myself I'm healthy and doing all the right things. When is your scan? Xx

@Sleeeeeepy oh dear, I already worry about our animals so much 😂 I'm going to try and get into a daily meditation practice I think. I've never managed and I need some way to calm myself. Counting down to my scan and finding out it's real 🙂 x

Drl94 · 29/11/2020 09:54

@NestinginNL @Twinkle1989 This is my first one too and seeing all the stories of MC etc is worrying! But my husband said to me MN is like any other website where people won’t normally come onto here to write something positive, like reviews people will come on to write bad things so they can get help and advice! You have to riffle through the negatives to find the positives!

Congrats to you both xx

MushroomQueen · 29/11/2020 12:42

I've had some bleeding this morning. And some twinges. It's stopped now so not sure what to think. I'm fairly practical tho, I can't do much either way.
