Hi!

I got my BFP a few days back (well a lot of BFPs as I'm a POAS addict) and my due date is likely to be early August 2021.

Any other ladies out there with similar exciting news in need of chat and support in these strange times please jump on board!

Congrats @Drl94 !!! That's so fast, how are you feeling? It's so hard not to get really excited isn't it, it's a great sign the line is getting darker

Congrats to you too @Sleeeeeepy! I’m feeling good - I’m extremely tired all the time and nauseous in the mornings but I just think that’s work😂 how are you feeling?

I’ve booked a private scan on the 18th to try and work out a due date, that’s making me even more excited haha!

Sleeeeeepy · 26/11/2020 19:58

Thanks! I also have a scan on the 18th but it seems like so long away I don't know how I can wait that long. I feel tired but I felt tired before hence the name! I know the sickness will kick in soon so trying and failing to enjoy this bit!

Not looking forward to the sickness at all, but hopefully won’t be too badGrin

Hi everyone, here to join the August baby club! This is our 2nd and an IVF baby so we are pretty sure of our dates - EDD 2nd August. I was POAS constantly since a couple of days after my transfer but went for bloods yesterday and my HCG levels were looking good so we have decided to stop testing as it was causing us so much anxiety! We have a scan booked for 19th Dec and I totally agree, every day feels like an eternity just now, waiting to get past these early days.

With my last baby, we formed a spin off fb group which was great and really supportive. We still chat regularly even though the babes are nearly 2. Maybe in a couple of weeks we can get one set up?

Congrats!!

I really like this idea. I'm only the second one out of my friends to have a baby and I think my bff is getting annoyed at the constant questionsGrin

Sleeeeeepy · 26/11/2020 22:00

Congratulations @booksandmore IVF babies are such special miracles, I'm so glad you're here with us!!

I love the idea of a FB group, I'm still in one from my younger son and it's so lovely and supportive. I feel like I've forgotten everything from last time! The one I'm in has a random name and is secret so no one could find out if they saw it by mistake before people had told others. I need to talk to people because we're not telling anyone and I'm bursting with it!

I feel drunk this morning. found my missing eggs late last night after I lost them in the afternoon. under a coat in the hallway after I lost them yesterday. I then went to make eggs and toast this morning. Spent 10 mins looking in the fridge. They were under something else I swear I had moved b4. Then I cook Ds1 eggs, just gone to cook oh some and can’t find them fridge or side. I had put them on top
Of a bimby cooking machine. Seriously I’m going senile with eggs.

Yesterday getting out the car I felt a stretch and again after picking up my 4 year old. Must try and stop doing it quite as roughly as I'm used to.

Prudence789 · 27/11/2020 11:04

Hi everyone! Congrats on all the BFP!!

I hope no one minds me jumping on the thread, I’m 12dpo today and a bit of a serial tester after three years of trying and a few miscarriages. I received today and yesterday very faint positives and I’m concerned whether they are too light and should be darker by now? Could this be indicative of a chemical pregnancy or am I getting myself worked up over nothing?

TIA to any advice and congrats again ladies! If my pregnancy sticks I’ll be due 8th August!

Ps the clear blue was this morning, the below was yesterday evening. Xx

Hi @Prudence789 that definitely looks positive to me, congratulations!!! Comparing different types of tests can be really confusing so I'd try to stick with the same brand to track how much darker it gets. I'd always use first wee of the day as well so it's consistent. I'm so sorry it's been such a long road for you, everything crossed you've a sticky bean.

Sorry you're feeling so out of it @MushroomQueen Great effort on the eggs though, mine are lucky if they get toast! These hormones are quite disruptive, I'm in a really grumpy mood but a bit emotional as well. Might just be work though ha ha. I hope you can an early night

Aw thank you so much for your reply it had helped put my mind at ease! It’s a mental minefield isn’t it! And whilst I don’t want to get my hopes up just in case it would help to not get too stressed out about it and thinking the worst! I’ll take another same brand one tomorrow or I may even really try for Sunday but we’ll see haha!

Sleeeeeepy · 27/11/2020 13:52

@Prudence789 I'm so bad for POAS I'm not going to give anyone advice about holding out. Hopefully doing them each day will give you that reassurance, it's what I did. This is the most anxious time I think, let's hope for a lucky thread!

Hi ladies can I please join you. Think we will be due around 4th August. Can't get excited yet. I'm super anxious and wish we hadn't found out so soon. No symptoms as yet.

Congratulations. I got my first positive this week and looks like mid August for me. Anyone recommend pregnancy vitamin brand l, please?
Mokoblack · 27/11/2020 18:04

Hi all,
Congratulations to everyone on their bfp’s. I got mine this week and due date is looking like early August. First pregnancy and anxious.
Not sure if we will book an early scan as my area are still not allowing partners at scans.

Sleeeeeepy · 27/11/2020 18:50

Welcome and congratulations @Mokoblack @lucy1291 and @Memcf2 !!

OP posts:
Sleeeeeepy · 27/11/2020 18:54

@Mokoblack the private scan I've booked they say one other adult can come along, at the NHS ones they find allow so might be a good chance for your partner to be there.

@lucy1291 I'm taking pregnacare because I panicked and bought some off amazon, I wasn't taking folic acid before because I was thinking it wasn't going to happen so went for the one I remembered!

@Memcf2 I know what you mean, it's anxiety inducing isn't it, I'm now feeling bloated so kind of on my way to it being a bit more real. I won't really believe it til the first scan though which seems so long away

PlantMummy87 · 27/11/2020 19:10

Congratulations everyone!

Can I join. Worked my due date as early August. Feeling super excited as this is our first, but feeling pretty nervous as not really had a load of symptoms yet other than a little bit of nausea and tiredness. I found out at 10dpo so super early, but I've also been serial POAS due to my lack of symptoms.

We haven't told anyone else yet, but thinking of telling my parents-in-law at Christmas time. Haven't called the doctors yet either, feels like a scary task but I have no idea why I feel that way!?

Twinkle1989 · 27/11/2020 19:44

@PlantMummy87 I understand the worry about contacting the GP! In my area we have to self refer to midwifery and she rang me back within an hour of leaving a message. I was crying and asking all sorts of questions and she was amazing! Really put my mind at ease ❤️

Early private scan booked for 21/12 and then we shall tell other family. At the moment only my parents and DP know ❤️

PurpleFlower1983 · 27/11/2020 19:58

I got a positive this morning in just our second month of trying (2nd baby - took us 3 years with DD!) We are quite shocked but happy! Smile

I’m 4+5

Due 1st August 2021

PurpleFlower1983 · 27/11/2020 20:01

Good luck and congratulations to all the first time mummies on this thread!

@Prudence789 I agree with a previous poster, try to stick to one brand of test to monitor progression. Saying that, it still drove us crazy comparing the lines! Lines can fluctuate day to day for all sorts of reasons. I would say try not to get too caught up in it all and that a line is a line but I would be a massive hypocrite who has just spent the last 10 days line watching.... 😂

Can we talk symptoms? I have had so much rage and irritability over the last 2 days. I feel so bad for my wife and colleagues 🙈 Also had a touch of nausea this morning... I had severe HG in my last pregnancy and have been dreading the return of the sickness. I have my fingers crossed that I get off lightly this time as I don't know how I will handle bad sickness plus a toddler!

booksandmore · 27/11/2020 20:07

Welcome and congrats to everyone joining us!

Sleeeeeepy · 27/11/2020 20:41

Hi @PlantMummy87 and congratulations!

I called my GP today, I feel like it's this massive thing when all they do at mine is put details in the book and then the midwife gets in touch (eventually!) I don't know why I felt so nervous but glad it's done.

@booksandmore I've been so grumpy and snapping at my DH, I think he remembers this from last time so knows not to say anything, hopefully your wife is as understanding 😂 I've warned him that over Xmas if all goes well I'm going to be feeling like death so he has to look after the kids and do the cooking!
