@swiftt I can relate! I was nervous for the whole week before the scan. Good luck tomorrow!! 😊

GrandTheftWalrus · 30/11/2020 16:57

I've got a private scan on Thursday and terrified I'm going to be told something has gone wrong.

I had my 16wk appointment today over the phone, lasted 2 mins 45 secs. She asked how I was and booked my next appointment. That was it.

Gaxy1 · 30/11/2020 20:19

I’m 10 weeks and my sickness seems to be getting worse! I’ve vomited the last few evenings. Is anyone else still finding it getting worse?

Buttercup20 · 30/11/2020 21:08

@Gaxy1 yeah I found that, the last few days haven't been just as bad thankfully I'm hoping it's now subsiding 🤞🤞

Gaxy1 · 01/12/2020 07:53

I’ve had a cold develop overnight. Think that might have something to do with the worsening sickness.
@Buttercup20 hope yours is getting better.

Secondtimemum2021 · 01/12/2020 08:36

Hi there, I'd love to join.

2nd time mum. Baby due June 2021. Ayrshire.

Had terrible sickness since week 5. Was on 2 types of meds but couldnt handle side effects. Came off meds last week and started to feel better but sickness was still awful.

Today (11 weeks) is first day of feeling ok - very little sickness. Would be delighted if it stayed like this for the remainder. 🤞

bubblybrit · 01/12/2020 09:07

Welcome @Secondtimemum2021. I’m sorry that you have been suffering so badly with sickness. Fingers crossed you see continued improvement. I’m also a second time mum. Baby due in July....so only 9 weeks!

Secondtimemum2021 · 01/12/2020 10:20

Congratulations @bubblybrit

How old is your first? Girl or boy?

I have a 10 year old girl. This pregnancy was a major shock as I have endometriosis and wasn't supposed to have any more. A lovely surprise though!

bubblybrit · 01/12/2020 10:23

@Secondtimemum2021. My DD is 21 months. This pregnancy happened a little quicker than expected. We thought we would wait and see what happened this year and start trying officially in January. Ended up falling pregnant the first month coming off the pill!

Brilliant news on your pregnancy - congratulations 😀 is your DD looking forward to being a big sister?

GeneralClux · 01/12/2020 15:55

Hi, when did everyone hear about their 16 week appointments? I'm 15 weeks today and assumed I'd have heard something about this one by now. In Ayrshire. Thanks!

swiftt · 01/12/2020 16:03

Had my 12 week scan today and everything was absolutely fine - such a relief. New due date is 10th June!

Wanderdust · 01/12/2020 16:06

Yay @swiftt - me too! You're due the day before me! And... I also got my Harmony results back today and he's a very healthy boy! Can't wait to tell people now!

PinkRoses20 · 01/12/2020 16:08

@GeneralClux i'm GGC and never got an actual appointment given .. they just phoned me out the blue one day! Was just a quick call to see how i was doing and arrange another app.

Had an app with midwife today (22w) and she let me record the heartbeat which was lovely 😊

swiftt · 01/12/2020 16:16

@Wanderdust aw fab, congratulations on your wee boy - how exciting!

sunnysideup3 · 01/12/2020 18:09

@swiftt @Wanderdust congrats on your scans!!

bubblybrit · 01/12/2020 18:42

Congrats on all the 12 week scans. Mine isn’t until the 22nd which feels a lifetime away. My NIPT is booked for 12th Dec but still seems so far away. I’m always anxious whilst waiting for the first scan!

Buffbeag · 01/12/2020 18:50

@bubblybrit I have my 20 week on the 22nd and it does seem ages away 🙄
It's a long wait between 12 and 20 weeks lol

bubblybrit · 01/12/2020 19:14

I hate how long the first trimester seems @Buffbeag. Just want to make sure that baby is ok. I get the same nerves when the 20 week scan approaches as well! Do you know what you are having?

Buffbeag · 01/12/2020 19:31

@bubblybrit yeah the second trimester doesn't seem to be going any faster for me but at the same time trying to enjoy the excitement of the pregnancy as it is my first.

We don't know what we are having and I am FV so they wont tell you. I am happy with a surprise though.
What about you? x

Buttercup20 · 01/12/2020 19:37

Has anyone used the healthy lifestyle offered? Not sure if it's for girlies like me that are very over weight?

bubblybrit · 01/12/2020 19:45

@Buffbeag. I’m FV as well. We have the option of finding out privately through the NIPT but I’m undecided. We found out with our first so part of me would like a surprise this time round! X

Bearcub01 · 01/12/2020 19:50

Has anyone applied for the baby box? My midwife filled out the form for me and gave me it back but in the top of it it says the midwife sends it away so not sure how or where I send it to?

Buffbeag · 01/12/2020 20:05

@bubblybrit are you getting private NIPT testing then? My partner already has a girl and he says he wants another girl but I really don't mind 😊

PinkRoses20 · 01/12/2020 20:14

@Bearcub01 mine did the same with me today. Just filled the rest out then rip the form off and if it's same as mine it should seal into an addressed envelope?

bubblybrit · 01/12/2020 20:27

@Buffbeag. Yeah I’ve booked the NIPT through ultrasound direct. I did the same with my first. I’m a bit of a worrier so puts my mind at ease.

I’m not bothered either. Would be nice to be a mum of both a girl and a boy but I’ll just be thankful for a health baby.

Is your step daughter excited?
