Hi ladies! New to this board just moved over from conception! Cannot quite believe it! I'm panicking as it's been a year (exactly!!) Since my miscarriage, and now I have backache and light cramps! Is that normal at four weeks can anyone put my mind at ease? X

@Blossom428 did they tell you the speed of the heartbeat? They say that indicates girl or boy :) x

Blossom428 · 07/01/2021 21:17

Yeah she said 23rd July, which is what was said at the 7 week scan too. So seems to be all moving along well!
Heart beat was 163 today.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/01/2021 07:16

@Blossom428 oooooo now they say that indicates girl :) could be old wives xx

@Blossom428 wow! Where can I get one of those? 😝
That looks amazing - it's amazing that that grows inside you!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/01/2021 08:52

@TheOrangeMonster have you booked a private? Xx

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 08/01/2021 08:55

@AnxiousAnnie86 no, what I forgot to mention yesterday was that my referral to the obstetrician is from now, they want me to be kept an eye on right from the start so I will get an NHS scan at 6-7 weeks.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/01/2021 09:17

@TheOrangeMonster ooooh thats good then, are you five weeks this week? Make the most of week five! Six weeks was the beginning of the end of not feeling sick! I feel like I've been sick for an eternity! After an amazing day of feeling fine yest, I was up in the night from 11 till 4:30 with the most awful sickness!!

We have our scan Thursday evening I'm so so nervous x

Just booked a private scan for Tuesday as I finish my covid isolation on Monday. I genuinely feel I've had a missed miscarriage so I am dreading having this scan alone 😔

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/01/2021 10:22

@SS123456 oh lovely, it's so scary!! I was sure if the same so certain, I laid on that scan table thing and just cried as I felt I knew what she was going to tell me, but it was okay, how far will you be Monday x

OP posts:
SS123456 · 08/01/2021 10:54

@AnxiousAnnie86 I'll be about 7 and a half weeks when I have the scan. My resting heart rate is now back to AF levels so I feel like it is just the progesterone I am taking now that is stopping an actual miscarriage taking place. It has taken us 1 miscarriage already and 16 months to get to this point so it will be devastating if it has happened again x

Blossom428 · 08/01/2021 12:00

@TheOrangeMonster very exciting!! Ohh that's good that you will have a scan at 6-7weeks!!

@SS123456 is it a private scan youve booked? As someone should be able to go with you for that?

@AnxiousAnnie86 how exciting that you will be finding out the sex so soon! How far gone are you now? Surely you are 16already!!! Crazy fast!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/01/2021 12:12

@SS123456 try remain positive as hard as that is, it sure heart rate will be all over with Covid, as that does cause a slow heart beat, plus mine is genuinely all over, somedays it goes so slow I take my watch off and panic and won't wear it for a few days!!! I totally understand your fear, we have spoken for a long time and I know the struggles you've gone through, it took me and my husband a MC And two years of relentlessly ttc... I still worrry everyday, but just try and relax for the moment, for the moment you are pregnant!! So just take care of yourself! It's totally crap you had to have Covid and I would be so scared as well. I'm not dismissing your fear by any means.

@Blossom428 nope still 15! Going slow isn't it 😂 will be sixteen next week when we have scan, I'm just so sure it's a boy! I don't know why!

@Blossom428 it is a private one that my partner is allowed to attend but as I can't bring my DS I will need to leave my OH at home to look after him. I could form a childcare bubble with my mum but as we've had covid I feel it's a bit too soon to expect that of a nearly 70 year old as the last thing I'd want to do is pass anything to my parents

@AnxiousAnnie86 thank you so much for the positive thoughts! We have been on a long old road haven't we! Fingers crossed we both make it in the end 😊❤️

TheOrangeMonster · 08/01/2021 13:00

@SS123456 I'm so sorry you're feeling so scared. As @AnxiousAnnie86 says it could be Covid causing the RHR fluctuations, try not to think the worst yet.

@AnxiousAnnie86 I don't actually know, I've been super confused about this. Ovulated 18th/19th December, so that would have been the last day of "week 2" right? So I'm 4+6/7 today, which is the fifth week but technically 4 plus? I don't know, I've no idea. 😂

Also, this is a bit of a weird one but the internet is a safe place - does anyone else here get a full on intense cramp immediately after orgasm? 😫 caught me a bit by surprise and had a proper freak out that it had done some damage....

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/01/2021 15:27

@TheOrangeMonster I have once or twice, once right at the beginning I was so scared of doing it again I refused until we had the scan!!!! 😂 don't worry about it now as apparently it's totally normal! If you ovulated 18th Dec then you are five weeks today due 10th sept, that's what my app says? X

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/01/2021 15:29

@SS123456 we will, we have too!! I think once your first scan is out of the way you'll start to relax a little, it just feels hard to believe it sometimes doesn't it, you just feel like you are waiting for something to go wrong. In the beginning I got so upset and I just kept saying to my husband, I feel like a ticking bomb x

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 08/01/2021 15:34

@AnxiousAnnie86 argh no! It was so painful it sort of ruined the moment - I'll just have to have orgasm-free sex 🤦‍♀️
Oh ok, so I'm either 5 weeks or very near to it.
So I guess by the time my referral letter arrives I'll be about 6 weeks so it'll be nearly time for the early scan. I guessed about 10th-11th September too.

TheOrangeMonster · 09/01/2021 09:22

Well this morning my boobs are starting to be less sore (fading fast) but I'm trying very very hard not to interpret that as a bad sign.
I felt a bit queasy earlier, and when I sprayed some air freshener it was repellent. And the only thing that would make it better was eating a banana. But all of that only lasted very briefly. Please tell me the boobs going normal again thing is not a bad thing?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/01/2021 09:30

@TheOrangeMonster my boobs were agony when period was due, but then gradually faded, they don't hurt at all now but are still much bigger x

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 09/01/2021 09:42

Yeah my boobs don't really hurt now, just bigger - which I'm totally not used to 🍳🍳 haha! Defo a plus to pregnancy. @TheOrangeMonster

I put my picture on a guess the gender thread, and the person said boy. So will be interesting to see. Hopefully next weeks scan is a bit clearer and closer and I can see the nub.

TheOrangeMonster · 09/01/2021 09:47

@Blossom428 when you imagine your baby, do you imagine a girl or a boy? I always imagine a girl, but DH always imagines a boy. I think it's because we are those things, respectively!
That's for the reassurance- looking around it does seem to be quite common. I'm sure if it was bad I'd have other obvious signs too.
@AnxiousAnnie86 are your boobs several sizes bigger? I just feel like mine have got rounder, as opposed to bigger. But then again there's a long way to go.
I wonder if the banana thing is a sign of cravings? No, probably too early 😂

SS123456 · 09/01/2021 10:07

My boobs are still super sore at 7 weeks but I am on progesterone pessaries so that may be making it worse

TheOrangeMonster · 09/01/2021 10:17

@SS123456 sounds like it could be doesn't it? Hmm.
I looked it up for you and Covid does slow your heart rate, by the way, so hopefully that's a bit reassuring?

SS123456 · 09/01/2021 10:26

@TheOrangeMonster oh really, do you mind sharing a link? Everything I have found said it did the opposite! Thank you
