Hi ladies! New to this board just moved over from conception! Cannot quite believe it! I'm panicking as it's been a year (exactly!!) Since my miscarriage, and now I have backache and light cramps! Is that normal at four weeks can anyone put my mind at ease? X

@Blossom428 I hope it's just being tactless rather than anything else too serious! It's the endocrinologist rather than the midwife (midwife not interested atm as I'm too early). It's the consultant I was under for the fertility investigation beforehand.

I hope they change things before July, I'm sure by then things will be different (well, they just have to be!)

Both my parents know about my pregnancy. My mum is SUPER observant and they said my body language was different, so they already knew. Well, I couldn't lie to them so confirmed, but they know it's really early days. They're both medical professionals so it's actually nice to have a bit of support from people who know what they're talking about (as DH and I are useless!)

On a different subject - Last night we had a Boris bulls*t bingo card for the speech, it was pretty funny.

Blossom428 · 05/01/2021 22:02

I'm sure al will be okay/ think positive @TheOrangeMonster
Haha love that bingo!! Defo ticked them all off!
Totally sucks to be back in lockdown again, I really hope this doesn't continue into summer!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 06/01/2021 07:49

@TheOrangeMonster that is so so tactless! My husband was really really poorly last year for about three months, we were so worried he had so many tests done, he then got a phone call from doc, the message was awful sounded like he was being called in to give his sentence, wouldn't tell him anything over the phone etc, when he got to the docs they just give him a vit D prescription and said he had to take it as was really low!

I've got my 16 week midwife apt today, I'm really hoping she will listen to heartbeat, for some reason last few days I've just had this awful feeling x

@AnxiousAnnie86 aw, I'm sure you're going to be ok - the risk is really low now! Perhaps you can ask her to find it for you for reassurance?

Blossom428 · 06/01/2021 13:40

I'm sure everything will be okay @AnxiousAnnie86
Let us know how it goes!!
My scan tomorrow needs to hurry uppp

AnxiousAnnie86 · 06/01/2021 13:49

@TheOrangeMonster @Blossom428 she's had to cancel and postpone to 26th!!!!! Fuming 🤣

@SS123456 how are you getting on?? Xx

OP posts:
SS123456 · 06/01/2021 14:58

Thanks for thinking of my @AnxiousAnnie86 ❤️

I did test positive for Covid in the end. Apart from still being very tired and out of breath I think I am over the worse now thankfully. Feeling sick on top from pregnancy while working and home schooling really doesn't help though 🤢

My resting heart rate has gone all the way down to pre-ovulation levels now (A drop of 20bpm in a week!) so I am praying I don't end up with a mmc situation. So far I haven't had any bleeding or cramps but I just feel so on edge as I can't understand the massive sudden drop

AnxiousAnnie86 · 06/01/2021 15:30

@SS123456 oh what a nightmare, can you go for a private scan when done isolating, my resting heart rate was down loads yesterday, but I felt terrible so wasn't doing much, so if you've been taking it easy that would explain it being lower? X

OP posts:
SS123456 · 06/01/2021 15:38

@AnxiousAnnie86 yeah I'm going to try but it's tricky now we are back in lockdown as I won't be able to bring my DS8 and I'm not sure if my parents will want to look after him anytime soon if we have had covid. It's just odd as it was a massive plummet rather than a slow fluctuating drop so it's very confusing

Blossom428 · 06/01/2021 16:50

That's annoying @AnxiousAnnie86 !! So far away!

@SS123456 sorry to hear about Covid! Hope you start to feel better soon. Really try not to read into heart rate too much. Mine if forever changing. From 57-73bpm.

TheOrangeMonster · 06/01/2021 18:15

@SS123456 I'm sorry to hear about the Covid.
Very possible that the low heart rate is something to do with the Covid related shortness of breath or other infection related thing.

SS123456 · 06/01/2021 18:34

@Blossom428 @TheOrangeMonster thanks ladies. I'm currently telling myself the same thing that it could be covid related but it's hard to keep positive

TheOrangeMonster · 06/01/2021 20:55

@SS123456 I know, honestly I think we all understand how stressful it is, and so easy to read into every little thing.

I also hones can't recommend enough stopping with the tracking - I tracked for almost the whole time I was TTC, and the stress it brought was unbelievable, every time things didn't turn out exactly as expected I stressed (and no doubt had a negative impact on myself).
Stopping tracking was the best thing I could have done. Obviously it's totally your decision but this is my best advice. ⭐️

TheOrangeMonster · 07/01/2021 11:37

Hi everyone: update

I spoke to the endocrinologist today. She has officially diagnosed me with NC-CAH. It's a very rare genetic condition which presents in early adulthood, usually when people are trying to get pregnant. She says I am a miracle because people who have it don't usually get pregnant by themselves. That makes me very pleased! It also explains why I wasn't getting pregnant before.

Stress is likely to affect me more than it would a normal person, so I've got to take lots of baths and be relaxed and do lots of things that make me happy, but one big reassurance from her was that the risk of MC is not that much greater than for a normal person and it's linked to something which I don't display signs of (inadequate endometrium, I have normal length luteal phases and normal periods, so no symptoms of inadequate hormones there). She's also referring me to the obstetrician to have a consultant-led pregnancy to reassure me and keep an eye on things to make sure that they can do as much as they need to. So I'm feeling an awful lot better today (apart from my boobs which really hurt every time I go down the stairs!)

What a saga this has all been! I can't believe I'm here today, pregnant, after all this, and I am going to do everything I can to make sure that this amazing baby is healthy and makes its appearance in September on schedule! How are you all doing?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 07/01/2021 11:47

@TheOrangeMonster that's wonderful news and a real miracle baby!!!! Just take care of yourself, rest and do things that make you happy! My midwife swears by lots of walks being good for baby! Also, September baby is amazing! Be oldest in school year which I thinks a great advantage! X

I'm okay, I've been nervous these last few days I just feel like somethings going to go wrong, I don't know why I feel like this now x

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 07/01/2021 12:13

@AnxiousAnnie86 thank you, appreciated!
Oh I know, there's no way of controlling when the nerves come on, but keep remembering you're past the risky bit, you're really in the good stage now.

I was thinking of going for a walk this afternoon but it's FREEZING 🥶

AnxiousAnnie86 · 07/01/2021 14:02

@Blossom428 what time was your scan today?? Xxxx

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 07/01/2021 14:17

So very pleased to hear that everything is going okay for you after your appointment @TheOrangeMonster - besides the diagnosis of course! But the fact you are pregnant is amazing!!

I wonder why you are feeling especially nervous @AnxiousAnnie86 - will you be booking in for an early gender scan? Or are you waiting till 20 weeks or not finding out at all?

My private scans is at 6.30 this evening. So once I've had that it'll give me some reassurance for next week nhs scan at least when I'll be alone.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 07/01/2021 14:22

@Blossom428 I really don't know, I wonder if it's cos sickness is subsiding some days I feel totally normal like not even pregnant! Others like yest I was so poorly!! Ughhh evening scans seem to take forever to come round! Just drink plenty of water and hold it so picture is super clear!!

Yeah we find out next week!!!! Hopefully if baby is playing ball xx

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 07/01/2021 18:52

@AnxiousAnnie86 isn't the sickness supposed to start going away in the second trimester though? That's presumably a sign of normality rather than abnormality.
I keep thinking I have shoulder pain, which is total tripe, it's completely in my head as when I'm distracted I forget all about it. 😂😂

AnxiousAnnie86 · 07/01/2021 19:33

@TheOrangeMonster yeah but we pull fear from anything don't we!!! It is totally normal sickness would be gone now at 15 weeks!!

@Blossom428 how did you get on???? X
