Hi ladies! New to this board just moved over from conception! Cannot quite believe it! I'm panicking as it's been a year (exactly!!) Since my miscarriage, and now I have backache and light cramps! Is that normal at four weeks can anyone put my mind at ease? X

@Blossom428 I'm not sure! But I've been thinking about reading a book too! Husband keeps asking for Xmas present ideas so thought that might be a cute gift x

Yeah this is what I want it for too @AnxiousAnnie86
Also might buy him the dummies guide to being a dad 😂

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/12/2020 17:57

@Blossom428 I'm having a slight day off the sickness it's eased to a bearable amount today and it's like heaven!!!!! If I hadn't seen baby this morning I'd be freaking out so just really trying to enjoy it as I know tomorrow it will be back in full force again! X

Yesss enjoy every minute- eat what you want and do things you couldn't previously do! @AnxiousAnnie86
I'm shattered today! Got an evening meeting now and all I want to do is fall asleep!

lotslou1404 · 08/12/2020 19:05

Thank you all, I think I just need to find one place and vent into it, and not keep googling. I keep crying to my husband saying that if this is a MMC and I’ve still got all these really strong symptoms then it’s just a really really cruel slap in the face

AnxiousAnnie86 · 08/12/2020 19:08

@lotslou1404 I honestly think everything will be okay! Measuring is hard at this stage and can go either forwards or backwards but tends to catch up by 12 weeks, I had a private scan a few weeks ago and they put me five days ahead, which really really confused me as I am certain of when I ovulated, but o had an nhs scan today and it's put me exactly where I should be.... 6 weeks it's not common to hear a heartbeat either, I think in ten days you'll get a much more accurate scan! Xxx

Honestly aren't the first 12 weeks just torture and worry!!!! X

I never even knew if I was able to fall pregnant after surgery I had about 10 years ago so part of me just feels like this might be my only chance xx

Blossom428 · 08/12/2020 21:32

This is my first ever pregnancy and I'm trying to enjoy it the most I can, but like you say @AnxiousAnnie86 these first 12 weeks are awful! (And I don't even have sickness)

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/12/2020 06:57

@Blossom428 how many weeks are you now? You may be one of the lucky ones and avoid it!!?

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 09/12/2020 08:08

7+3 today @AnxiousAnnie86 well I kinda hope so! But also panicking that everything is okay! Finally I can say tomorrow is scan day haha 🙌🏼🙌🏼

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/12/2020 08:23

@Blossom428 wahoooo!! Mine started at six weeks and from what I've read ThAts the most common! You are going to be so so relieved when you see that baby!!! X

@Blossom428 this is my first pregnancy too really as i never got anywhere with my first try last year so im overthinking everything but im just so ill and exhausted all the time but im trying to focus on the end result 🤣 i agree, i think the first 12 weeks are so slow. Im 8+2 today going by my dates or 8+5 by the midwifes from my private scan 🤷‍♀️

Blossom428 · 09/12/2020 16:25

@Redfoot89 we're all in it together! I'm exhausted this week. All I want to do is sleep. I hope little bean is growing nicely!
I'll dread if the scan puts me back a week- I don't think I can take another week further back ahha!
I've got my booking in appt next Thursday. Have you had yours yet?

Redfoot89 · 09/12/2020 16:48

@Blossom428 i know, i know ive already said it but its so so helpful having this thread! Eeeek tomorrow! Im excited for you, im sure all will be just fine ❤
My booking app is the 14th, she said tuesday 14th to me on the phone but after i realised that the 14th is a monday so im presuming its monday 🤣🤣🤣

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/12/2020 18:09

@Redfoot89 @Blossom428 are your booking apps face to face or over phone? @Redfoot89 I think you said phone?

Mine was phone for an hour!! Then had to go in for all bloods etc, that was a week ago and haven't heard anything so assuming they are all okay?!?

OP posts:
Redfoot89 · 09/12/2020 18:17

Hei guys, first time posting/commenting here but read it all the time. Just did a pregnancy test after having a complete meltdown at dentist office and it came back positive so should be around 4-5 weeks now. Ttc for almost a year and when thinking I am okei if it takes longer, it happened now. First pregnancy ever( I am 30) and a little bit freaking out. I work as a chef so if any advice for when the nausea starts to manage to keep working/staying around food let me know! Also spending time googling what is my next step( in England) and if anyone can reccommend private scans clinics in london( preferrably in central London) let me know aswell. Really want my husband to experience this with me and not feel left out.
Also congratulations to everyone here! So exciting!

Blossom428 · 09/12/2020 19:19

@Redfoot89 @AnxiousAnnie86 mines a face to face booking appointment (17th) which I was surprised at. Said about an hour, just going to have to slyly get out of work for a bit. Good job for wfh!
Yeah I wonder when you hear things @AnxiousAnnie86 about your bloods and that. Don't they tell you what blood type you are and if you are low on vitamins?

@tiinab congratulations!! That's amazing news! I'm 29and 7+3 weeks today, so we've moved on slightly from 4 weeks now. I've not experienced any nausea as of yet so I wouldn't have any tips for that.

Window to womb is a common private ultrasound place, or ultrasound direct are places people have used to book early scans. You'll have to see what's close to you. My partner won't be able to come to my 12week scan with me unfortunately. But probably will book another one around then so he can see baby again.
You'll need to check with doctors who you need to contact for midwife appt as every place is different.

Blossom428 · 09/12/2020 20:59

@Redfoot89 @AnxiousAnnie86 have you heard of the acupuncture plasters? I've heard some people talking about them and they've taken the edge off sickness.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 10/12/2020 06:30

@Blossom428 noooo! What are they? I was going to have accupuncture again but I just don't have the time before Xmas! What time is your scan today? X

@tiinab welcome and congratulations!!! Is your husband not allowed to scans where you are? I thought you could in London? If you just have a google scans central London I bet there is loads! Try not to go too early though and scaring yourself, I would wait till seven weeks when you will hear a heat beat! :) xx

Thank you! To be honest when I typed this I had been known I was pregnant for about 2h and went on the things I had heard before but after doing more research about my local hospitals it seems husband can go now but with some kinda funny rules.
Now I will just need to call my gp and try not to worry. Barely slept last night due to excitement and just anxiety.
