Hi all, thought I hadn't checked in for a while so I've just had a read through to catch up. I keep finding more things on my app 😂 but it's quite handy, I get the appointments uploaded on to it before I get them in the post. You don't get notifications though so have to go in and check. My next scan to hopefully give me a due date is 10 November. They couldn't get the measurements at my 12 week scan but they do think I'm about a week ahead of my date, So I will be about 16 weeks by the time I have that scan. Currently 14 weeks, definitely starting to show a bit now and struggling to get comfy/sleep in bed! Had to break out the maternity jeans too, but still fitting in my normal H&M leggings hahaha

Queenbee95 · 28/10/2020 16:16

@Welliedays is this your first? I have the cutest little bump already (13+5 weeks, 3rd baby). I’m living in leggings right now 😅
Really struggling with hip/pelvic pain too, laying in bed is a nightmare and even walking is getting almost impossible!

Welliedays · 28/10/2020 16:25

@queenbee95, yep it's my first! I have H&M jeans for work (SO comfy) and just live in my leggings when I'm working from home and weekends! It's a pretty small bump, but I do notice when I bend that it's there and lying down just isn't that comfy 🤷🏼‍♀️ I was relatively skinny to start with (big 6/small 8 😂) except for the IBS bloat so I'm not surprised my jeans don't fit anymore! I'm defs getting stretching pains at the moment, it must all be moving up or something as its round my tummy button that's sore!

swiftt · 28/10/2020 17:11

Had the first part of my booking appointment over the phone today, going in on Friday to finish it up with bloods etc. Also got access to the app and it’s looking like my 12 week scan is booked for 1st December when I’ll be 13+1. This feels like sooooo long away at the moment!

rosegoldivy · 28/10/2020 17:38

Im deflated today, yesterday I had my first full 24 hours where I haven't spewed in about 2 weeks and really got my hopes up thinking that was perhaps me over the worst of it.
Wrong. I've been sick 5 times already 🤦‍♀️ I'm giving up on today and going to my bed for a pity party 😂 I swear this is karma for me being so cocky after saying being preg with DD1 was a peice of piss 😂😂

@singleandttc I've heard from a few other people I know that the sickness tablets do heehaw. 😭 As a fellow mcspewer I really hope that you don't get sickness until 32 weeks. It really is the pits.

Gaxy1 · 28/10/2020 17:40

Has anyone tried the acupressure wrist bands for nausea?

Queenbee95 · 28/10/2020 18:06

@Welliedays I really need to get out and buy some maternity jeans, missing them. Hate wearing leggings all the time, but I haven’t really been leaving the house much so I don’t mind lounging at home in them haha!

@Gaxy1 I got the wrist bands but they didn’t really help me much, other people might have a different opinion though.

So my eldest son has slapped cheek syndrome right now, midwife has said if I haven’t had it before it can be quite dangerous during pregnancy so currently waiting to hear back from lab to see if I’ve ever been infected or not. I’m hoping I have been and I don’t need to worry, but if I haven’t then they are gonna need to keep a close eye just in case I catch it from him 😓

Welliedays · 28/10/2020 18:25

@queenbee95 I've been buying my maternity clothes on ebay. So cheap 😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 28/10/2020 19:33

Anyone got any recommendations for pelvic floor exercises? Thinking I need to get on it, especially since I'm still running!

Welliedays · 28/10/2020 20:04

Hmm I'm afraid not @thedaydreambelievers all I tend to do is just pretend I'm trying to hold a wee in and hold and then repeat a few times. But not sure if that's right!

Fruitloops34 · 28/10/2020 20:07

Hi all, how you doing. I’m having a really really crap day. Nausea has been bad all day and I’ve got these dark patches on my chin.

Could honestly cry I feel so down today. I’m 13+1 and really hoped by now I’d be starting to turn a corner.

Anyway enough moaning. Hope you are all well.

sunnysideup3 · 29/10/2020 12:21

Sorry you're feeling down @Fruitloops34. Hope you feel better today.

My symptoms got a bit better but I keep anticipating them to get worse as I'm just 8 weeks today. It would be wonderful if they stayed so mild but I've probably just jinxed it now😅🤐

CardiganBlobby · 29/10/2020 13:20

Hope you feel better soon @Fruitloops34. I am definitely going through waves of feeling not too bad and then quite horrible. The lack of energy is making it hard to get through a work day at the moment. I find if I am distracted by work though it is harder to notice any nausea I have, so silver linings and all that I suppose.

singleandttc · 29/10/2020 15:55

So I'm on to tablet number 3- promethazine! The last of the first line treatments 😭. If I'm not feeling better tomorrow they want me to go into the drs to actually be seen. The thought of having to leave the house makes me want to cry. Moving makes me so much more sick. I did get a sick line for next week though- with a diagnosis of hyperemesis! Not sure how it's supposed to go away in a week if I'm trying med number 3, but whatever. I'll just have to keep phoning them every week. Fingers crossed the promethazine helps!

fife28 · 29/10/2020 16:02

Hi all,

hope you don't mind me jumping on this. Here's my wee intro
I am 26
9+1 weeks
2nd baby

I was sweating at 5 weeks when I had no symptoms and then the nausea and exhaustion came in like a wrecking ball last week. it's alleviated slightly today but I'm bloated and anxious with the biggest appetite. Trying not to worry as with my 1st I was a wreck with nausea but been googling miscarriage symptoms all day and resorted to just reading this thread and trying not to worry instead haha

Has anyone else from Fife noticed the scan letters are now saying 1 person only ie no partners to scan?

xx

rosegoldivy · 29/10/2020 19:27

@singleandttc ohhh no. It really just is the absolute worst ever. Just try and rest as much as you can ❤️

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/10/2020 08:09

Welcome @fife28!

How are we all today? 4 days till my scan... want it to hurry up!!!

OP posts:
Daffodil21 · 30/10/2020 08:43

@TheDaydreamBelievers been having on and off brown spotting so not too hopeful for my scan. 3 days to go.... how are you?

Still no symptoms either....

sunnysideup3 · 30/10/2020 09:12

@TheDaydreamBelievers 4 days till the scan! Is that your 12 week one?

yesterday has completely shattered me, nausea and fatigue are back with vengeance 😭 fingers crossed it's better today.

GrandTheftWalrus · 30/10/2020 10:01

Morning all. I've ages to wait for my scan. Ots not till Thursday.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/10/2020 11:28

@Daffodil21 @sunnysideup3 its officially the '12 week scan' but I think it is actually 10 +2 for me? (Periods all over the place)

I also feel pretty much no symptoms - but my mum was the same across 2 pregnancies so trying not to let it worry me.

Does anyone know if theyll ask me to come back again at 12 weeks or if they can do all the necessary stuff at 10?

OP posts:
CardiganBlobby · 30/10/2020 11:55

I have my booking appointment on Tuesday, which is the first real 'thing' I have had - apparently I get the 12 week scan date while there.

Hope you are doing ok @Daffodil21

I have become a carb monster in the last week or so and am feeling it - will have to try and tone it down in the next week or so and try to go for a walk or 3.

rosegoldivy · 30/10/2020 12:42

@thedaydreambelivers try not to worry about the no symptoms, I literally had no symptoms with DD and I didn't even have a bump till I was 30 weeks, swear if she hadn't been doing daily somersaults I would have never believed I was pregnant

With the scan if they find out your earlier than expected and they can't get all the measurements that they need they will ask you to come back a week or 2 later. My official 12 week scan is when I'm 11 weeks. My mw said that they more than likely will ask me to come back

Fruitloops34 · 30/10/2020 13:40

Kinda freaking out today. I turned around in my desk chair too quick and my stomach didn’t move as quick and I felt this horrible pain stretch right across my stomach. No pain now but worried I’ve done something to hurt the baby. What do you guys think? Are they quite secure in there or should I worry?Sad

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/10/2020 15:12

@Fruitloops34 they are definitely very secure! Youve likely just put pressure on a ligament or muscle that is already being stretched by being pregnant, thus causing you pain. The baby will be floating away, totally unaware!

@rosegoldivy thats helpful, thank you :) at my booking appt she just said they 'might' get me back. It wouldnt be a bad thing having extra scan 2 weeks later! (assuming the news is all good)
