Im 5+3 weeks, first time mum
Midwife telephone appt 13/10
Scan 03/11

Feeling burpy, bloated, and anxious!

@swiftt what healthboard are you ? Varies place to place at the moment

@swiftt I wouldn’t worry, when I was at my 12 week scan on Wednesday the midwife told me my next appointment would be 16 weeks but it will be done over the phone. She said they are trying to cut footfall down so some appointments will be over the phone where possible.
My booking appointment was over the phone, so I hope that give you a bit of reassurance.

@Fruitloops34 ah okay. I guess I’m just concerned that as of Friday, my appointment was going to be face to face and now they’ve changed it. So thinking maybe in 4 weeks time, they’ll have had to enforce more restrictions. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see. Might book another private one in a couple weeks time so he can at least come to that one, just in case.

I have my scan tomorrow and partner is allowed, I do suspect when they start assigning the tiers to local areas there maybe changes to us being able to be accompanied at scans etc probably similar to what they had a few mi the back depending on what tier your area is in, I must admit it fills me with nerves it's such an unknown time but we just need to get through it together and keep our spirits up 💕

I really hope they still allow partners at the scan. I've had an 8wk one and I saw heartbeat but I am still worried that something has gone wrong and I really don't want to be told on my own.

Also where I have to go for my scan is where I had to go for my scan to confirm miscarriage in may so I'm worried about that as well.

I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow so I'll ask her then and also chase up my scan appointment as I'm 11wks tomorrow and not heard anything yet.

I have my first NHS scan on the 4th of Nov which seems like a lifetime away 🙄

I really hope the tiers don't change you being allowed your partner. Mine would be devastated if he couldn't be there, as would I. You need that person to hold your hand and keep you calm.

I am same as you @GrandTheftWalrus I go to the same place as I did for both my miscarriages so I am already anxious about that. I will be 13 weeks by time of scan but it still feels so early

For those of you that have had a booking appointment. If bloods were taken, how long did it take to get the results back?

Morning everyone! We had our scan this morning and everything went well! Measuring exactly as expected so no change to due date! Baby was being a pest and had their back to us most of the time!

I know there are a few of us with scans today so hope they all go well.

@ScottishStardust had my scan too, honestly I was ill all night thinking about it! All went well, due date is 7th May! Waiting for Dr to call me as I am struggling big time with nausea and sickness and needing some help!

@Buffbeag my bloods were updated on my booking app with blood type etc within a week and the HIV etc ones were about 2 weeks x

@Buffbeag I had my booking face to face at the end of September, didn’t hear back about bloods. They will only contact you if there is something wrong

@Queenbee95 my Health board use an app so nurse said they would update that but phone me if there was a problem so was expecting that to be updated by now with blood type etc as it's been a week.

Aww glad everything went well for you @barbiemummy20 - not so good about the nausea though!

I was so tired last night I slept well! I'm glad as I know I could have easily wound myself up rotten!!

Finally got my scan date. 5th at 11.45am. I'm nightshift the night before so its going to drag in but something to look forward to.

@GrandTheftWalrus I have mine on the 4th and it seems ages away. Being so impatient about it lol

I know. I just want it to hurry up and be here so I know everything is okay.

I may have to break my no caffeine rule that day and have a coffee. Usually by the end of night 2 I'm ready to sleep for a week lol.
