@buffbeag happy birthday, I hope you feel better and manage some cake... If cake doesn't help the nausea, then what will 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 its strange to think that by my next baby I should have a baby in my arms!!

Fruitloops34 · 10/10/2020 18:22

@Buffbeag

Happy birthday 🥳

TheDaydreamBelievers · 10/10/2020 22:24

Happy Birthday @Buffbeag!

The hormonal acne has hit HARD today. Not sure if the masks are making it a million times worse

I'm so rubbish at keeping up with this but I love coming on to read how everyone is getting on! It's so nice to see everyone's scans! I just love seeing little bubba's all cosy in there 🥰

I got my appointments through the post yesterday and despite being told when I phoned that my scan would be at my local hospital, the letter says the QEUH so I need to phone on Monday and find out what the deal is. Happy to go to QEUH if that's what I have to do but don't want to turn up there only to be told I don't have an appointment with them and I was supposed to go to IRH 🤦🏻‍♀️

Only 4+5 at the moment but time is dragging so slowly!

ScottishStardust · 11/10/2020 08:07

I also got our scan date letter through yesterday which I was excited about until I read the line that I must attend alone 😔. The midwife at my booking appointment says partners were allowed but guess it's a moving target with all the covid changes!

barbiemummy20 · 11/10/2020 10:03

Happy Sunday y'all 💕 I hope everyone is keeping well, I am off on holiday for next 2 weeks but I have so much stuff to do around the house when off that I am having a lazy day today, in bed with toast and decaf coffee ☕️ hope everyone has a good week and good luck for all those with appointments this week 💙

Welliedays · 11/10/2020 11:03

Oh no @scottishstardust can you book a private one for a day or so before? I was totally against paying for a scan, but my husband can't come to my NHS one due to work so we booked a £40 private scan for 2 days before and then I'll go on my own to the NHS one. He wasn't too bothered about not seeing it but I think when we go he'll be pleased I booked it!

Phone them to check!

They’re still using a template for the letter from lockdown. Mine said the same and when phoned they told me the letter template was out of date and partners could attend.

Fruitloops34 · 11/10/2020 11:59

The lead left I got for my scan also said no partners but that had been scored out with a pen. It’s defo worth checking as I think most trusts in Scotland now allow your partner to go.

Fruitloops34 · 11/10/2020 12:00

Sorry that should have said “the letter I got for my scan”

ScottishStardust · 11/10/2020 12:19

We've had an early scan @ 6w (due time previous ectopic) so fingers crossed that's a good sign! I'll ask again tomorrow, I did wonder if it's been the template hadn't been updated! He doesn't seem to fussed (he's very laid back!) but it's more me!

I do have the MW tomorrow for bloods so will ask her opinion!

We are thinking about a gender scan so he's happy as he'll get to that scan!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 11/10/2020 13:37

Definitely check @ScottishStardust - mine says that too but we definitely ARE allowed to bring partners

I'm trying not to panic...just spewed for the first time at 6+1 and was weirdly excited about it until I immediately started cramping stronger than usual period ones and when I checked with tissue had a bright pink (not red) splodge of CM. Actually considered phoning EPU as the pain was so bad but it's now 15 minutes later and the cramping has gone completely and I've not had anymore weird CM and I know they'll just tell me to wait it out.
Has anyone else had anything similar? I'm trying to stay optimistic, I was sitting quite awkwardly when I was spewing so clinging onto the hope that I've just wiggled some old blood down with the muscle spasms.
I'm kicking myself, had just said to hubby yesterday how lucky we've been not to have any problems or worries yet 🥺

Fruitloops34 · 11/10/2020 14:22

@mrswilso

Try and not panic, the fact you spewed sounds like a good sign. But maybe just check with EPU. I did have a bleed about 6 weeks and when I called they said they wouldn’t be concerned unless I was soaking pads with blood which I wasn’t.

Never hurts to get a second opinion.

mrswilso · 11/10/2020 14:30

Thanks @Fruitloops34 💕 I'm doing the worst possible thing and googling but thankfully google isn't looking too pessimistic about it either - reading through some reassuring posts has calmed me down a bit. And no more cramping so far.
I think I'm definitely gonna call them if I get any more spotting today. I got a proper fright at the time too as I actually thought I coped quite well with pain but this was baaad 😂 I'm gonna be pathetic in labour hahaha!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 11/10/2020 15:06

@mrswilso hoping things are okay but I'm sure they will be!

How is everyone? I hate to say it but I'm miserable, feel like the energy is being sucked out of me and nauseated constantly. Went out for lunch with the in-laws today, didn't want anything from the menu and when it arrived tried to eat as much as I could without making it look like it was a chore to be there 🤢

Hoping this passes soon and hope everyone is well!

CardiganBlobby · 11/10/2020 17:37

Hi ladies - hope you are all hanging in there. I went for a private scan yesterday which estimated me at about 7 weeks, a few days behind where I thought I was. Saw the heartbeat though which was very exciting!

@Buffbeag Happy belated birthday - hope you managed to enjoy some cake!

@mrswilso - thinking of you and wishing you the best. Hoping all is well for you.

@HeyDW96 - I feel like this is me too. I am so tired all the time - I have spent so much more time in bed than normal this weekend with naps and at times I can't tell whether I am hungry or nauseous.

HeyDW96 · 11/10/2020 17:46

@CardiganBlobby that's lovely! I've spent most of the weekend on the sofa, the housework hasn't been touched for a while but I don't have the energy or motivation 🤦🏼‍♀️

TheDaydreamBelievers · 11/10/2020 18:12

@HeyDW96 - today 6+6) is the first day I've had a nap. Feeling v tired. Also still v belchy with solid boobs!

Told our parents this weekend which was lovely lovely, both mums delighted!

@CardiganBlobby so lovely that you got to see a heartbeat!!
@mrswilso I hope you are alright - try not to panic but maybe calling EPU will put your mind at rest?

sunnysideup3 · 11/10/2020 20:12

Hi all, hope you all had a great weekend.

I decided to redecorate the bedroom this weekend and I regret that haha. I'm so exhausted 😵

MumToBeMaz · 11/10/2020 21:20

@sunnysideup3 wow, you went for it this weekend! haha

Me and my partner are just back from Loch Lomond. I haven't even touched our suitcase since we got back...

Got my first call with my midwife tomorrow, really looking forward to getting some more information on how this journey is going to go and maybe get an idea of dates for scans.

Buffbeag · 12/10/2020 08:47

Morning!

Finally got my booking appointment through for next week so will be 11 weeks by then 🙄

It is a face to face appointment though so I feel better now I have a date at least.

Hope everyone is feeling better on this rainy Monday xx

butterfly193 · 12/10/2020 08:51
