I feel nauseous but I haven't ever been sick. I am 7+3 so am I just too early?

Gingergeek89 · 03/10/2020 11:34

@elowheez don’t worry a lot of people are never sick and I have friends who weren’t even really nauseous so don’t worry

@ScottishLassie91 it’s almost like the foetus know what I had said and was like “hahaha you think you are feeling better.....”

ScottishLassie91 · 03/10/2020 16:04

@Gingergeek89 looks like I also spoke too soon, I've progressed from horrible nausea to full on vomiting 🤢 fab lol xx

Gingergeek89 · 03/10/2020 16:09

@ScottishLassie91 oh no! Lucozade sport does really help to feel better afterwards and if your struggling the doctor can prescribe anti-emetics

@Sansa87, so glad to hear baby is doing well. And @Littlebee1990, glad baby is currently well and am crossing my fingers for you.

I second lucozade sport, the electrolytes help reduce the risk of hospitalisation (often dehydration related).

Hope everyone’s doing well and much love to all those being sick. I’m having slightly annoying symptoms with low b/p as mine is low anyway, so I’m lightheaded a lot which slows down my day. Also palpitations, anyone get these in early pregnancy? My 5yo is feeling excited about it all though, lots of questions and chatting about when ‘Tiny’ is here. I’ve also suddenly remembered that once ‘Tiny’ is old enough to have a room of their own, we need to knock a door through a massive stone wall as our long rambling cottage is actually two cottages made into one and extended. Atm there are two bedrooms rooms on each side with two separate staircases and a spare bedroom downstairs on the other side of the house. Something to plan for! Also 5yo is finally enjoying being back at school more, which is a relief as they were quite nervous to restart after the covid break.

PatchworkWellies · 04/10/2020 22:13

@MagpieSong, yes to the palpitations! Mine are awful at mo, keeping me awake some evenings. I do remember having them in previous pregnancies.

imisscoffee · 05/10/2020 07:22

Mumsnet app doesn't like me for some reason so apologies if this post appears 1000 times. Had my early scan yesterday, turns out I'm not 6 weeks, I'm 9+2! Can I join the Facebook group now please? I wanted to wait until after my scan.

@imisscoffee oh congratulations!! How exciting! That must have been a wonderful surprise at how far along you are!

UnicornAndSparkles · 05/10/2020 09:33

Congratulations @imisscoffee! Ah how wonderful to skip ahead too. First trimester almost done!

Im somewhere between 10 and 11 week today; baby was curled up at my scan last week so they couldn't get accurate measurements, so could be anywhere between 10+1 and 11+1 apparently. Finding the sickness has ramped up and none of my clothes fit (second baby!) Can't wait to have this first trimester behind me and be onto feeling better.

Gingergeek89 · 05/10/2020 10:10

@imisscoffee what a wonderful surprise! Lovely scan picture

wishingwomen · 05/10/2020 11:19

@imisscoffee Hi this might be a silly question but how do they put you more ahead? Was you not sure on ovulation date sorry first baby and going for a first early scan Friday so not sure what to expect
Lovely scan congratulations x

PatchworkWellies · 05/10/2020 11:28

@wishingwomen, they call the first scan the dating scan and based on baby's measurements (don't ask me the exact science!!) they give you a more accurate due date than going on period alone, this is because many people have somewhat irregular cycles or even might just not ovulate exactly when they thought they were. Obviously if you were doing ovulation tests and pretty sure when you conceived, dates are not likely to move much.

@imisscoffee, congrats, I would have loved to jump ahead weeks 6-9!! Think I'm about 10 and a half weeks but got scan next Monday so will hopefully get a clearer picture then.

mylittlebean2019 · 05/10/2020 15:03

@imisscoffee - congratulations!! That must be such a good feeling to be further along than planned!

I was looking for the May 2021 Facebook group. Does anyone know how to join?

ScottishLassie91 · 05/10/2020 15:36

@mylittlebean2019 I'm sure it was @ShalomToYouJackie who had set up the facebook group but I may be wrong xx

imisscoffee · 05/10/2020 16:11

Thanks all! @wishingwomen my pill stopped my periods and they didn't return when I stopped taking it in June, so couldn't use my last period to calculate due date as that was around 2017 haha. Guessed my dates based on the negative tests turning into positive ones, so it was a lovely surprise!

Manth84 · 05/10/2020 18:03

I have covid 😢😢 and I'm 7 weeks. Can't get thorough to a midwife so no idea what's what. I feel ok but tight chested, tired, short of breath and general grimness! I just hope it doesn't effect anything 😞

wishingwomen · 05/10/2020 18:10

@imisscoffee ah thank you I wasn't sure I'm sure I no the day I ovulated so reckon I'm about right

@Manth84 ah that's so scary for you! However everywhere I've seen does say it hasn't been known to affect pregnancy so just take it easy x

Gingergeek89 · 05/10/2020 18:16

@Manth84 oh bless you. I looking into this a lot before we started TTC and there doesn’t seem to be any increased risk. The only question at the moment is if it might trigger slightly early labour in the third trimester. Just make sure you rest and hope that you feel better soon and hopefully you’ll be able to talk through it with the midwife soon

OP posts:
Pinkiii · 05/10/2020 19:30

@Manth84 oh no, you must be so worried. Make sure you get plenty of test.

Has anyone else got a massive bump already!? I’m 9+4 and feel like my belly has just popped out. Didn’t have a bump this size last time till i was 4 months.

Manth84 · 05/10/2020 20:07

Thanks everyone! fingers crossed it will all be ok

mylittlebean2019 · 05/10/2020 20:47

@Manth84 sorry to hear you have COVID. As the girls have said I don’t think there is any danger to baba but definitely take it easy. Fingers crossed for Trump-speed recovery! X

MagpieSong · 06/10/2020 10:44

@Manth84, so sorry to hear that. Hope you can get through to the midwife for some advice/reassurance and also that you get lots of time to rest and recoup.

@PatchworkWellies, hope your palpitations ease up soon. I had them a bit last time, but this time round they're worse. I did have minor heart issues relating to something else a few years ago (I'm fine now, but occasionally get palpitations/tachycardia that aren't dangerous when not pregnant), so possible that's made them feel a bit stronger this time round.

Is the Facebook group private so the user's friends can't see it? If it is, I wouldn't mind joining either.

Sansa87 · 06/10/2020 11:06

I don’t know how to add to the group, might need to be an admin, but it’s most definitely very private. No one will see you’re in it. 😊

ShalomToYouJackie · 06/10/2020 12:47

PM me and I'll give you my Facebook profile to add and then add you to the group (then unfriend you). It's definitely completely private, nobody will see you're in it

leftitlate37 · 06/10/2020 13:41

@Manth84 sorry to hear you got covid, hope you recover quick, in the meantime plenty of rest and fluids!
wow @imisscoffee thats an amazing jump forward and what a great scan pic :) congratulations!
I have my booking appt tomorrow, still nothing feels real. Just hope it is all acually real and have a reason for my big bloated tummy and feeling like i could just burst into tears at any second! had the garage email with costs for a job, and felt sick to my stomach seeing the four figure quote :( that definitely wasnt morning sickness!
