Hi all

31 and TTC for the first time. Just about to enter the 3rd cycle. Although I know all of our bodies work differently, I just wondered how long it took people to get pregnant?

Look forward to hearing from you Smile

38 and got pregnant on my second cycle.

Flittingabout · 03/07/2020 12:36

I just had my first ever BFP this week after 2 years, although I must say about half I missed the window as DP worked away. I am almost 36 now.

Best of luck!

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 03/07/2020 12:37

4 cycles, at 35.

SC1989 · 03/07/2020 12:37

1st month at 29yo, 1st month at 33yo

BigBox · 03/07/2020 12:38

First time it took a year (no official problems). Second time was first go!
Good luck x

fitzbilly · 03/07/2020 12:39

With all three of my children it was the first cycle. I was 38 with the last.

Everyone is different. I was expecting it to take longer each time.

sofiathe2nd · 03/07/2020 12:39

First month at 32 and 37

ShowOfHands · 03/07/2020 12:40

In my 20s, it took 14 cycles. In my 30s, it took one night.

sel2223 · 03/07/2020 12:41

I fell pregnant for the first time a month before my 37th birthday.
2nd cycle and 1st time TTC.

Every body is different OP, it's still early days so try not to stress too much. Anything up to a year of trying is normal before you need to start looking at going to your GP for some help.

DD1 I was 29 (so slightly outside your range). 2nd cycle.

Current pregnancy - Looooooooong time (31 when we started trying, 33 now). Turned out there were some medical issues, my hormones had gone a bit skewiff after my first DD. Did actually eventually conceive without assistance despite my dodgy hormones, expecting twins (oddly, this is probably WHY we were successful - I had a ridiculously short gap between ovulating and bleeding, but with twins there's twice the HCG, which was enough that I didn't lose it this time!)

Age 31 there's no reason why it should take long at all. Strongly recommend that if it doesn't happen, do go to the doctor. We put it off for a long time, I felt too awkward to go, and then it felt devastating to find out that it was something that could have been fixed if I'd gone for some tests.

BlueRaincoat1 · 03/07/2020 12:45

11 months at 34, 3 months at 37 (I was very surprised by that!).

Gerdticker · 03/07/2020 12:47

DC1 - 18 months - got very sad and then felt v v lucky to conceive naturally

DC2 - had an mc then conceived 7 months after that

Tinamou · 03/07/2020 12:47

Age 30 - 3rd cycle
Age 32 and 34 - 1st cycle
I realise I've been v lucky.

CluelessBaker · 03/07/2020 12:49

33 (32 when I conceived) and fell pregnant on the 3rd cycle of properly trying, 5th if you include ‘not actively trying but not preventing either’.

EithneBlue · 03/07/2020 12:51

I'm 32 - conceived in the 5th cycle after coming off the pill.

ImFree2doasiwant · 03/07/2020 12:52

2.5 yrs with first, I'd had many years on the depo though. About 3 minutes with the second aged 37 and 38.

NickMarlow · 03/07/2020 12:53

11 cycles with dc1 - 30 when I got pregnant
18 cycles with dc2 - 34 when I got pregnant
Had tests after a year of ttc dc2, nothing wrong, just took longer than we hoped.

bee222 · 03/07/2020 12:53

First cycle and 3 cycle at 37. Sadly miscarried both pregnancies but became pregnant again at 38 on cycle 5 (currently 16 weeks pregnant and all fine)

SockQueen · 03/07/2020 12:55

31 when I got pregnant first time, after 18 months of trying, but was diagnosed with PCOS and needed Clomid. 34 2nd time, conceived somewhat unexpectedly after 5 months of not really trying but not using any contraception. Bit of a surprise!

Ihaveoflate · 03/07/2020 12:58

18 months and 2 miscarriages at 38 years old, plus lots of stuff to help it along including ovulation tracking and reflexology.

Userzzz · 03/07/2020 13:05

7 months, 31

Dyra · 03/07/2020 13:07

2 years (31 y/o) - Started trying a couple of months before my 30th birthday. Got a BFP 2 weeks after our first fertility appointment funnily enough. Ended MC.

11 months (32 y/o) - Had to lose the weight to get the Clomid. One dose later I got my BFP. That precious BFP is now 10 months old.

Hoping when I try for a second it's a bit quicker...

Wishing you all the best. As with a PP if it hasn't happened after a year, go see a doctor.

TankGirl97 · 03/07/2020 13:10

Age 30 - first cycle
Age 32 - first cycle
Age 37 - took 18 months (including two losses).

Amber2019 · 03/07/2020 13:12

Age 31,1st cycle, was a shock and expected it to take around 1 year for some reason.
