Women over 30 - how long did it take you to get pregnant?

Hi all

31 and TTC for the first time. Just about to enter the 3rd cycle. Although I know all of our bodies work differently, I just wondered how long it took people to get pregnant?

36. First cycle.

Stopped contraception just before honeymoon, had first (first time IUI) 2.5 years later at 36. Second baby naturally at 39 after two miscarriages.

31 - first cycle. 33 - 3 months 36 - almost a year 37 - first cycle

First cycle - ended in a loss at 6 weeks
Now 22 weeks pregnant again with no period since loss.

35, 2nd cycle after coming off the pill and 1st cycle doing ovulation tests

I think it really varies so much. Im 38 and I got pregnant in my second cycle. All of the scaremongering about me being older meant I expected it to take a lot longer. To a certain extent its about fertility, but I also think there's a lot of luck/chance involved!

4 and half years with 1st I was 29,second first cycle at 33 and 3 and half years since ive been pregnant

Tried for a year at 31 and had 3 mcs
Then had dd1 at 33 after 1 or 2 mths ttc (can't remember if 1 or 2)
Dd2 at 36 after 3 mths ttc

35 - 1st cycle
37 - 2nd cycle (we didn't really give it a good enough go in the first cycle due to work!)

29 got pregnant third cycle after coming off the pill after ten years. Had four consecutive miscarriages before my dd but got pregnant each time very quickly. Age 35 pregnant second cycle from coming off the pill after 5/6 years but had a mmc. Pregnant again second cycle after erpc. I swear by those clear blue digital ovulation tests. They seem to be work for me as long as I dtd the day of the smiley and day after

43: first cycle

36 (going on 37) 1st cycle
40 4th cycle

We weren't trying particularly hard though. I think we only had sex once the month that dc2 was conceived.

First time at 35 and the same at 36.

30 - first cycle (ended in MC), next month fell pregnant again and currently 34 weeks - feel very lucky we conceived straight away.

Age 37 - 2nd cycle
Age 40 - 2nd cycle (twins)

I am doubling up on protection now!!

First pregnancy - Conceived at 32. Took one year exactly, however I was coming off the depo injection which can have long term impact.

Second pregnancy - conceived at 35. Six cycles. Used preseed and got pregnant that cycle (no idea if this was coincidence).

At just turned 30 it took us 3 cycles.

With DS when I was 26 it took well over a year!

Four months to get pregnant; 11 months to get a pregnancy that stuck.

31 - I technically fell pregnant on every cycle i tried on but ended up with 3 consecutive miscarriages (nothing medically wrong apparently). Now 14 weeks pregnant after 4th try on second cycle since last MMC. Pretty much works out at 1 year of trying total.
My friend at same age with endometriosis fell on her first cycle.

I have had unprotected sex a grand total of six times and am pregnant with my second🥺. Tried once randomly at the wrong point in my cycle, then fell pregnant on the first cycle at 32. Pregnant on first cycle at 35. I had also been using hormonal contraception for a long time and my BMI is sky high so I consider us very lucky indeed.

32-2 weeks
