Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

I'm 10+2 taking it back to the first day of last period however baby measuring 9+4 x

Hello, I'm new to Mumsnet and wanted to say hello. Due early Jan and have my dating scan next Wednesday. Hope everyone is well and not suffering too much in the heat.

@angelascott when working it out yourself you go by date of last period but you may not have fell pregnant then so once you have a scan go by that date which will be more accurate other wise you will always feel your baby is small or not growing well if that makes sense. Very cute scan x

@louva hiya welcome. I have had a private scan at 7+5 and I have my 12 weeks scan on Thursday 😁

10 + 2 today. So far today I actually feel normal.

Same here!! I'm 10+3 and feeling pretty normal too. Except for getting tired easily. Mornings seems to be best.

I have my nhs scan tomorrow....eeek!

I think it starts to get a bit more exciting now (in between the worrying) as baby is developing so quickly and becoming more responsive day by day. I'm really liking following the pregnancy+ app that I downloaded thanks to a pp mentioning it on here.

@Dia12 I wish I felt great I literally open my eyes and feel sick and it continues most of the day - today I am struggling to keep anything down

I’m suffering today. Bad headache, no energy and feeling off. I’ve lost 5 kg since my bfp, and I haven’t even been sick 😢🤔

Oh no sounds awful for you both @Lauraha85 and @Tink2020 - recommendations of ginger pops up a lot, has that helped? You've both prob tried everything in the book by now. Fingers crossed it eases up for you very soon.

Welcome to the thread @louva - how many weeks are you? I'm guessing you are also towards end of your first trimester?

@Dia12 I haven’t had any morning sickness, odd bit of nausea but not actually sick. Still losing weight....

Oh so you're just not up to eating much. Make sure you're staying hydrated. Hopefully your mw can suggest some ideas to keep up with nutrition. x

@Lauraha85 hello, yeh not bad thanks. First trimester symptoms are getting better but I'm also currently laid on the sofa unable to move because I did some gardening earlier so.. comes and goes! Exciting times for the 9th! X

@Dia12 Hello, I'm 12+1 according to the calculators! Feeling rather ginormous but I think it's more bloat than bump. Good luck for your scan tomorrow! Hope it goes well x

Hi all, scan went reassuringly well and little one was wriggling around, just amazing to watch.
I'm still a bit early at 10w+4 so will be back next week for the all important measurements.
But can breathe a little easier for now.

@Dia12 that's great news ☺️ I had a scan at 10 +3 last week so a similar stage, I was amazed how baby-like it looked!

Yeh definitely more baby-like and less blob-like! Things beginning to get exciting now! But need to keep calm, still a few hurdles ahead.

How's everyone else doing today?
