Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

I just had my dating scan. I was so scared of something being "wrong" with the baby or finding out it hadn't grown since week 8 or something like that that I was almost crying in the car. Fortunately all signs are good although the sonographer measured me at 12+5 when I'm 11+6 by my calculation and my EDD is 31st December. The baby will come when it comes, but I'd prefer it to be January to be honest. Husband loved the photos and hearing about the scan, shame he couldn't go. I can't wait to tell my mum and dad now.

Gorgeous news @burdog ! I’m so happy for you.

Think I might be a touch hormonal as I was selling up at your post 😬

Don’t think this means you’re allowed to leave the board though just because you’re now on Team December! Grin

@onekidnoclue Aw thanks!

Tink2020 · 23/06/2020 13:59

Amazing news @burdog XX
I have another four weeks until my dating scan... so tempted to book a private one x

Lauraha85 · 23/06/2020 14:03

@burdog Fab news you must be so relieved. I have another 2 weeks until mine it can't come quick enough

KSI88 · 23/06/2020 14:43

Hi ladies, can we talk discharge? Very yellow and a bit like egg white. Anyone else experiencing this?

Onekidnoclue · 23/06/2020 15:08

Hi @KSI88 who wouldn’t want to talk about discharge! Mine hasn’t changed. Maybe a bit more gloopy... TMI. Not yellow though. Clear or white ish.

@Onekidnoclue thanks for replying. It's going from white and milky to egg white consistency but yellow. Strange one. I'll keep an eye over the next few days and maybe call the midwife.

Tink2020 · 23/06/2020 15:23

I just had a call from my doctors. The urine sample I gave in on Friday has shown I have a urine infection that I didn’t even realise I had. On a week of antibiotics now

WhoUsedMyName · 23/06/2020 16:17

Yeah mines been really white and a lot I've been wearing panty liners or I feel I've wet myself

Pelvic floor exercises

I'm just thinking of starting to do them. I wonder if everyone else is am I late to the game.

Dia12 · 23/06/2020 20:55

I haven't started doing any either @Opelbow - actually not in any kind of routine and I'm feel quite bad about all the rubbish I've been eating too. My jeans were really uncomfortable today 😞
Need to get my shizzle together I think!

Opelbow · 23/06/2020 20:59

@Dia12 I'm confident we will all feel better in a couple of weeks and get on top of eating, exercising.

Due to lockdown I've embraced the comfortable clothing, so bloated I don't like wearing tight things around my waist.

My OH things I'm showing already lol.
It's just bloat

WhoUsedMyName · 24/06/2020 09:28

Pelvic floors deffo do them! Just when your not even thinking about it make it habit every time you wash up or say when your driving to work or school etc I've always done them and I'm 4 dc down and (touch wood) haven't had any problems but I have friends that have only had 1 or 2 dc that can't laugh or sneeze with out wetting themselves 😳 sadly for us ladies we get all the problems

Tink2020 · 24/06/2020 09:31

I’m 9 weeks today :-) having to be so careful about what I wear in terms of comfort and showing my belly. I lost a bit of weight before I got pregnant and I’ve got a tiny bump that doesn’t go down when I lie down

WhoUsedMyName · 24/06/2020 09:37

Aww how lovely 😊 I loved my bump with my Dd because I was a lot slimmer from the back I didn't look pregnant and when I turned around looked like I had put a football up my top

Tink2020 · 24/06/2020 10:15

Got a feeling that is what will happen to me... unless I’m having twins like my mum 🤣

Onekidnoclue · 24/06/2020 10:56

Bumps are wonderful! I’m reasonably slim but with a big belly so I guess apple shaped. Pregnancy is the only time I’ve looked decent as it last acceptable to have a big belly!
My stomach has popped out so much I think I look far further than I am. Think it’s not having any abs to hold stuff in Sad don’t know how much longer I can hide it really as it’s pretty noticeable now and I’m not yet 10 weeks!

Tink2020 · 24/06/2020 11:29

I’ve been meeting with friends for walks who don’t know and my partner said they will be able to guess now 🤭 I’m trying everything possible to reduce the bloating and constipation which is sort of helping

Onekidnoclue · 24/06/2020 11:50

I’m hoping I can get away with just looking fat for a while. So wearing tops and bottoms that just make me look podgy rather than pregnant. Just little things like not tucking t shirts in at the front. Would be much easier in winter with big jumpers!

Tink2020 · 24/06/2020 13:21

Completely agree. I’m just grateful I have some flowy tops that I got for my holidays last year 🤣

MissHoney85 · 24/06/2020 13:26

@Opelbow and @Dia12 my best friend has just given birth and recommended an app called Squeezy for pelvic floor exercises. I downloaded it this morning and had my first go. It costs £2.99. Still not convinced I'm doing it right but I'm going to start trying to get into the habit now!
