Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

Grin @onekidnoclue....that's hilarious! Whoops

Good job on managing a curry. I haven't graduated past toast yet, though I did manage to sneak in a banana today. These food versions are something else entirely! Anyone else having major repulsion with food?

Opelbow · 22/06/2020 11:38

@Seeker2020 I can't evening think about mushrooms.

Everything smells really strong.

angelascott · 22/06/2020 11:49

@Seeker2020 yep I can't stand most foods, the smell of food cooking and even videos of food being cooked makes me sick... So strange as my none pregnant self loves food... Who is this new person and can she stick around after so I can loose some weight haha x

SkylinesTurnstiles · 22/06/2020 12:23

Hey guys,
Sorry been a bit quiet.
Had some spotting Friday (touch wood haven’t had any since) and cramping. Got very scared and EPU were closed so I went to A&E who unfortunately couldn’t do much either at the time but arranged a scan for today.
I am sat in the scan waiting Room now. Should be 10+3 today.
Really hope this scan goes well. Sat here all by my lonesome and bricking it tbh!

Onekidnoclue · 22/06/2020 12:38

Oh @skylineturnstiles how stressful. I remember the terrifying wait when I had bleeding with DS. All fingers crossed for you. X

@SkylinesTurnstiles let us know how you get on , sorry your having to do it alone , I have my fingers and toes crossed for you

SkylinesTurnstiles · 22/06/2020 13:29

Thank you guys!
All good thank goodness- measuring a few days behind but I don't think that's particularly worrying at this stage. There is a heartbeat! 😅
Here's a pic if you're interested, very surprised I got one if I'm honest, but happy obviously.

Lauraha85 · 22/06/2020 15:07

@SkylinesTurnstiles Marvellous news xx

WhoUsedMyName · 22/06/2020 15:32

I'm 11weeks today 😁 I've passed the sickness all day everyday I'm still tired but I'm managing working from home play mum and have dinner on the table which isn't just a half arsed make some bread and butter if your still hungry I'm really sorry kinda meal, I actually baked yesterday And can I have a drum roll please................. I got to the bottom of the washing basket yesterday yes I'm feeling epic🤣
Woah I'm not stopping there I also shopped!!!
I'm not saying I'm superwoman (although maybe a little) but I mostly get like half hour sickness waves on and off mostly late evening xx

Dia12 · 22/06/2020 16:49

Congrats @SkylinesTurnstiles how lovely to have see the little one fluttering away.

Drum roll for @WhoUsedMyName - that's an epic list of chores! Hope you're not over doing it though. My nausea is much better (I'm still only 9+4) but I'm totally whacked after minor jobs around the house.

I would have never figured pregnancy exhaustion could be so debilitating. Can't wait it for it to ease. This first trimester is going so so slowly.

Dia12 · 22/06/2020 16:52

Oh and I had a dream that I had a little baby and whenever he needed a nap, I would put him in the fridge 😑😑😑

WhoUsedMyName · 22/06/2020 17:16

@Dia12 I feel like cramming it Into a day at a time incase it comes back it did before which scares me lol

WhoUsedMyName · 22/06/2020 17:16

In the fridge 🤣 ice ice baby

angelascott · 22/06/2020 17:26

I keep having really strange and scary dreams... Not every night but some nights.

I have zero sex drive but sometimes I dream that we are getting it on then I start bleeding everywhere. Also had a dream my dad came to chat to me and told me he is right by my side and grabbed my hand to which I jumped up and my hand was out of bed like I was holding someone's hand. (my dad died suddenly just over a year ago) isn't pregnancy strange x

@SkylinesTurnstiles so happy for you to see your baby cooking away nicely x

Tink2020 · 22/06/2020 20:11

My symptoms eased the pst few days and have returned this evening. Had my favourite meal and couldn’t eat it. Now extremely bloated, nauseous and got a headache x

ttcchapter1 · 22/06/2020 22:17

Same! My nausea returned today 9+3.

I have this dull sort of ache in my lower right side and I do think sometimes in my right side. Its not sore but im just kind of aware of it. I am bloated as well though. It kind of feels like a strain? Any ideas anyone?

burdog · 23/06/2020 09:42

@seeker2020 I was repulsed by all food from weeks 6-10. I'd be eating something and halfway through just be like, "No" and unable to eat more.
I haven't had much nausea at all. A bit of queasiness now and then, mainly in the evening.
Shh don't tell anyone... I've started having a cup of tea with breakfast and it is GLORIOUS> The NHS says it's ok but I still feel a bit guilty. I just need something that isn't water, juice, or herbal tea.

Tink2020 · 23/06/2020 10:53

@burdog I have a can of Pepsi max cherry every day as I don’t drink tea of coffee. You are allowed caffeine, just limited amounts. Think nhs have a caffeine calculator x

Onekidnoclue · 23/06/2020 11:03

You 100% can have caffeine THANK FUCK! 2 cups of tea or one coffee. I’d be totally useless without any.

Dspx · 23/06/2020 11:23

Any tips for headaches got so much to do on the computer today and my head is pounding have taken 1 paracetamol but trying to avoid any more xx

Tink2020 · 23/06/2020 11:31

Are you drinking enough @dspx?

Onekidnoclue · 23/06/2020 12:00

Have you cut out caffeine? That can give killer head aches? Cutting in out I mean, not having it.
I find cold patches on my neck and forehead really help. I think 4head sticks are good.
