Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

@Dspx how was your scan!Grin

WhoUsedMyName · 18/06/2020 20:32

@angelascott I'm 10+3 and even this week has been amazing with the sickness it hasn't gone completely but so much better. I'm just having awful stomach aches atm

ttcchapter1 · 18/06/2020 20:37

Anyones nausea stopped near the end of 8 weeks? I had loads the past two weeks and now the past two days barely anything?

footprintsintheslow · 19/06/2020 06:21

@ttcchapter1 exactly the same as you. Dreadful nausea fir weeks then nothing after week 8. A total turnaround but dog tired exhaustion now, once 3:30pm comes I'm good for nothing.

I am doing well apart from sickness is taking over my days at first it was just constant nausea 😵 bit now the dreaded sickness has started
Looking forward to sharing our journeys together

angelascott · 19/06/2020 10:07

@Lauraha85 exactly the same as mine did, I was nauseous until 8 weeks then this last week has been very sicky everyday and getting worse... Also feel that I have some acid reflux aswell (never had this before) also have restless legs in the night which I've never had before but my knee is really sore after a couple of hours from being asleep.

Don't like many foods either (which I normally love) so this is making eating very hard 😭 x

Tink2020 · 19/06/2020 10:13

Are you all taking vitamin d tablets? My midwife recommended them but wasn’t specific on which ones. There are so many to choose from

Onekidnoclue · 19/06/2020 10:25

@Dspx that’s wonderful news. I’m so happy for you and glad you got to share it.

@Tink2020 I am taking vit d but was for ages. I made the super grown up decision to take the cheapest ones as I’m pretty sure they’re all the same! I have no medical knowledge at all though!

@Lauraha85 hi! Lovely to have a new person, especially if you’re nuts as well! Loads of us are moaning on about nausea and tiredness and then panicking the second we feel ok! It’ll be a long nine months. Is this your first?

Lauraha85 · 19/06/2020 10:35

@angelascott - crazy you sound exactly the same as me apart from the acid reflux , I had a sore left knee the other day random. I have also gone off food ( which I usually love too ) so I am too having a daily struggle with what the hell to eat- glad I have someone to share this with yay

@onekidnoclue - yes I am certainly nuts as is my whole family its hereditary lol.
Thank you for the welcome message glad to hear its not just me that has an anxiety attack when my symptoms subside and then wish they were gone when they return ( we will all be crackers ). Yes it is my first although I have had a previous miscarrige 2018 at 7 weeks.

AliceGM · 19/06/2020 10:43

Hello ladies. Not been on here in a little while :)
I was wondering how many of you had told their families? I’m 11+4 and we’ve still not told our families.
If you’ve told them did you do anything special?
Im gutted because it’ll have to be on Skype for my parents as their abroad :(

SkylinesTurnstiles · 19/06/2020 11:47

@Onekidnocluesymptoms seem to have gone! I do still have sore boobs though... though that may have something to do with the fact I keep grabbing to check 😂
@AliceGM - we told our parents as soon as we found out face to face (we live with mine currently and DH are a short drive away) and I told my Dad via Skype. We also told all our siblings in the early weeks.
Apart from that we have told one friend (whose nan we are renting a house from).. all very weird I know 😂. But think we will tell everyone else when I have my dating scan where I’ll be 12+3 which is on 6th July.
Is anyone’s NHS Trusts letting partners to scans yet? 😕
Hope you are all doing good and thanks again for your support the other day ladies, it means so much ❤️

SkylinesTurnstiles · 19/06/2020 11:49

Woah my post went super weird.
There was some I had written before but no idea where that went! @Onekidnoclue I didn’t mean to tag you... I’m sure you wanted to know all about my sore boobs 😂😂

angelascott · 19/06/2020 11:57

@Tink2020 i'm only taking seven seas pregnancy tablets but the midwife gave me some vitamins yesterday with vitD, C and iron in as they are what they recommend in pregnancy.
I'm going to continue with the seven seas ones at this time tho x

Tink2020 · 19/06/2020 12:00

@angelascott they gave me a sample of pregnacare but I already have a big pot of folic acid which I am taking.

angelascott · 19/06/2020 12:19

Yeah I got that and these... See pic

Due January - anyone else?
AliceGM · 19/06/2020 14:38

@SkylinesTurnstiles nice that you told you family. I bet you can’t wait for them scan :D

Our scans are on the same dates!! Exciting!!

We’ve decided to tell our parents so I’ve ordered for my parents a Boomf card that you pull open and there’s confetti. So we’ve said we’ve sent something through the post and when they get it they need to call us. Hahaha hopefully they don’t open it by mistake Hmm

Alice9 · 19/06/2020 14:43

@Positivity2019 completely agree with the scan thing. We did the same because wanted my husband to be there for the first time. Was so special. Completely worth paying for it :)

nmw93 · 19/06/2020 18:09

Haven't been on for a little while as I've finally started to feel more like myself!
I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and my 12 week scan will be on the 10th July.

These past few days I've really started to feel more human, nausea has reduced to mainly in the mornings and though I am knackered throughout the day, I'm managing not to nap and I take myself off to bed at 9. I'm usually asleep within 10 minutes!

I'm managing to eat warm meals and more of what I ate before I was full of sickness! I'm also really loving melon at the moment and celery dipped in houmous, I guess there's worse things to crave!

Newer symptoms are a very full feeling in my lower tummy, lots of night time toilet trips and my uterus has started to pop up from my pelvis a little bit which means I can sort of feel the stiffness of the uterine wall.

Hope everyone is okay!
I can't find HopefulM's tag on my list but I'm sorry to hear what you've been going through and I really hope things start to get easier for you. X

Dspx · 19/06/2020 21:40

Private scan was 100% worth it and would highly recommend, this probably sounds silly but after such a horrid experience last time it was nice to be somewhere that didn’t feel clinical and to be able to do it with my partner and him get to experience it was the best thing ever he was trying not to believe it was happening Because of last time so to see his face when we got told there was a baby that had developed was something I will never forget. A friend of ours has just announced there pregnancy and apparently her partner went to the scan this was Southend so hopefully things are relaxing I’m
Going to call the hospital next week to check before our appointment xx

Opelbow · 20/06/2020 08:43

I've got my scan date SmileSmile
16th July.
The letter says my partner can come, so I hope he can.
