Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

@gracex4 it's so weird but even given how poorly I was, I almost feel like I'd prefer that to not feeling anything right now!

gracex4 · 14/06/2020 16:48

Honestly either your really lucky and may not get it back or it will come back and your wish it away again lol x

angelascott · 14/06/2020 17:52

I feel utterly rubbish today, I had a restless night with some pains although they didn't fully wake me it was enough for me to move and although I believe them to be due to wind it worried me a little and I've googled everything possible today which only makes things worse. The pains didn't last long before going and I've had all my normal symptoms of sick/nausea, sore boobs, bloating, wind and being off food. Pregnancy is making me crazy x

Wheezeymcleazy · 14/06/2020 18:27

Hi 😊 I'm 8+6 and my sickness has really kicked up a notch 🤢 feeling massively sorry for myself ! Hope everyone's doing ok. I had a scan yesterday for peace of mind and it was lovely 😊

SkylinesTurnstiles · 14/06/2020 18:41

@Wheezeymcleazy I feel ya! Today I everything I have eaten has some back and I just have the most awful furry throat!
Also feeling very sorry for myself

Wheezeymcleazy · 14/06/2020 19:10

@SkylinesTurnstiles that's exactly the same as me. I'm beyond fed up with myself lol. I seem to get like this for a day or two then I feel ok-ish then it hits me again. I have the midwife tomorrow morning for bloods and urine. On my scan there was a cyst found on my ovary. They said that'll be why I'm getting some pain on top of normal cramping. Hope your sickness calms down soon.

AliceGM · 14/06/2020 19:20

Random questions to you ladies. But what is the best stretch mark cream o. There. So many to choose from! :)

AliceGM · 14/06/2020 19:21

*out there. Sorry fat thumbs.

Dia12 · 14/06/2020 20:07

Exactly what I've been googling today @AliceGM and couldn't quite come to a conclusion about which one was actually any good.

AliceGM · 14/06/2020 20:15

@Dia12 me neither. So Manu different reviews and they just list them without saying which is best...

Dia12 · 14/06/2020 20:21

I'm definitely interested in suggestions for both face and body skincare during pregnancy. As it's my first I have no experience but would be nice to hear from anyone else who's been there already.

Wheezeymcleazy · 14/06/2020 20:33

I used bio oil in previous pregnancy and didn't get them on my tummy but did get some on my hips thighs and boobs lol. There's a coconut oil one that gets a good name

Dspx · 15/06/2020 07:55

Anyone know what pain killers are safe I have Crohn’s disease and it really played up last night and in so much pain today x

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 08:01

Hi Ladies ! Can I join in ? I THINK I'm due in January I haven't had a scan or anything yet I'm 8 weeks And a bit I'm so glad I found this page been feeling really alone lately :( sore boobs feeling sick everything under the sun :( how is everyone else doing?

Seeker2020 · 15/06/2020 08:09

Hi @dspx.I also have Crohn's and am 10+4. I would usually have taken something strong if not pregnant but paracetamol is the only thing I think safe in pregnancy. I would give your gastro a call to see what you can take. Are you in remission? I'm so sorry you are in pain.

For the skincare questions, I've got really dry skin since becoming pregnant but scents are triggering my nausea (and then sickness) when I try to moisturise. How are you all coping?

gracex4 · 15/06/2020 08:16

@Newbee123 hey hun well u sound like all of us so welcome! I'm 10weeks today 🥰

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 08:22

@gracex4 Hey! Yaaay I'm excited! But tell me does it get any better ? .... how are you feeling ?

Dspx · 15/06/2020 08:25

@Seeker2020 luckily I am in remission so medication free yea I would normally head for buscopan at the least think it’s just stress had a argument with my partner last night and have got scan Thursday so just stressing so think it flared up if it doesn’t settle down I’ll give them a call thank you xx

Opelbow · 15/06/2020 08:25

I'm a big fan of coconut oil, like from the cooking section. It claims amazing things if you google it. And I figure as it is natural stuff it can't do any harm.

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 08:27

@Seeker2020 Hi! I've developed little patches of dry skin on my leg and my bum cheek sorry TMI Blushim going to speak to the midwife about it soon and see if she can help. And yes the scented creams are not helping neither. I'm just using the Superdrug's vitamin E cream that keeps it quite soft and moisturised although it's very scented !

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 08:29

@Opelbow I've been using olive oil too! It's soo sticky and thick hence why I rotate between the vitamin E cream but that's the only thing that has been keeping me moisturised natural products are always better

Opelbow · 15/06/2020 08:32

@Newbee123 I've also ready that grapeseed oil can be used.

Though atm I've got more an problem with spots then dry skin.

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 08:34

@Opelbow pregnancy sounds like a delight so far !

Opelbow · 15/06/2020 08:41

@Newbee123 I know I'm trying to think positively about it.

My mums first bit of advice for me was to remember and enjoy all aspects of being pregnant as you might only experience it once or twice or a few times. She said you need to remember to be able to tell your daughter in the future.

So I'm trying to hold that advice in my head.

I also feel great admiration for all the women who have been through this, with children, while working and in the past without modern technology or a support network.

This group has been brilliant.

gracex4 · 15/06/2020 08:44

@Newbee123 so yesterday I had a really good day and today feels good but I don't want to jinx it! I do have good and bad days now tho before was all doom and gloom 🤢 could your dry patches be psoriasis I get little patches when I'm pregnant and I never have it usually xx
