Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

@Dspx Oh wow, a day apart! How amazing! I was tempted by a private scan but the NHS midwife put me off by saying they are not sure how mutiple scans may affect the baby, I think that's a load of rubbish though. They wouldn't offer it otherwise. I really can't wait! Just hope everything is okay. I find it odd going all these weeks without seeing a doctor! I hope all goes well for you!!

Dspx · 13/06/2020 15:29

@McDbaby that does sound strange she did say because of my history we could request an early one at the hospital but I really don’t want to do it on my own. Have you had your midwife appointment yet ? X

nmw93 · 13/06/2020 20:38

So today has been a better day in terms of sickness. I managed to eat warm food for the first time in 2 weeks and have managed to eat a lot of fruit!

Also, I don't know what's changed but up until today my sex drive had pretty much buried itself and now all of a sudden... well... I can't stop staring at my OH like a lion seeking prey! Grin

Anyone else's libido picked back up 9 weeks onwards?

Sophia88 · 13/06/2020 21:55

Hello - thought I would join as I too am due late January. I’m coming up to around 8 weeks. This is my third pregnancy. I am really struggling with sickness. I’m currently taking two different anti sickness medications prescribed by the GP every few hours and am still vomiting! Feel so depressed as I am just stuck in bed due to no energy and needing to be near the toilet!! Can’t look after my two other children :( Just praying this eases soon! Congratulations everyone xx

Dia12 · 13/06/2020 22:38

Congrats @Sophia88 and welcome to the thread, sorry to hear you're having an awful time of it. I'm very fed up at the moment too. Did you have similar experience with your other 2 pregnancies? Are you getting any help with your children?

Good news @nmw93, seems the decent meal has given you some extra energy 😉😉 your DH will be counting his lucky stars.
My libido is still a distant memory!!!

McDbaby · 14/06/2020 05:21

@dspx Yes, I had a phone call with the midwife around 8 weeks and she went through loads of questions. Because I'm "low risk" I haven't been offered an early scan, though reading on here it seems almost normal to be offered one. Had a really good day yesterday, didn't feel sick at all and managed food! Let's see what today brings, already up at 4am - haha!

Em39ma · 14/06/2020 05:27

Just let everyone know. I went for my early scan yesterday and the baby died last week. Bit of a shock after our first early scan showed the heartbeat etc after the bleed.
Wish everyone else the best.

Seeker2020 · 14/06/2020 06:29

I'm so sorry for your loss @Em39ma xxx

FirstTimeMama36 · 14/06/2020 08:19

I'm due 9th Jan with my first and patiently waiting for my first scan. These first weeks are so long!

Congratulations everyone else x

FirstTimeMama36 · 14/06/2020 08:34

So sorry for your loss 💔 xx

angelascott · 14/06/2020 08:53

So sorry for your loss, sending big hugs x

McDbaby · 14/06/2020 09:07

@Em39ma So sorry for your loss :-( xxxx

Dragon82 · 14/06/2020 09:24

@Em39ma I’m sorry for your loss. This happened to my sister. Although it’s no comfort, miscarriage is common and you are not alone. There are lots of women who have been through the same, it just doesn’t get talked about.

@Hopefulmummie how are you doing hon, are you home today.

Sending lots of love to all the ladies who’ve had a pregnancy loss now or in the past. From my sister’s experience it’s an under discussed, incredibly tough thing to go through Flowers

Hopefulmummie · 14/06/2020 09:34

@dragon82

Not getting out today but they said they will see tomorrow. I got bloods took again this morning so probably depends on them results.

Feel so week and groggy this morning and the pain comes and goes. When it's here it's terrible pain

It really is an awful experience to go through physically and emotionally.

@Em39ma I don't think I was ever talking to you on this but I'm sorry for your loas

Dia12 · 14/06/2020 10:12

That's awful news @Em39ma, so sorry for your loss.

Em39ma · 14/06/2020 11:18

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately not the first time I’ve miscarried. Doesn’t get any easier.

Onekidnoclue · 14/06/2020 11:28

@Em39ma I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sure it doesn’t get easier, I hope you’re looking after yourself. X

@Em39ma so sorry to hear that hun. 😞
@Hopefulmummie bet you can't wait to be home now.

gracex4 · 14/06/2020 11:56

@nmw93 I'm the same I can't leave him alone even when I feel crap I'm like come on you do the work 🤣 he's well happy!
So I've got to clear all the hallway and pull up the carpet pack bags for me and the dc and get all the washing done because our hall way is being plastered and I'm running away to my mums and leaving Dh home 🤣but he's working so I have to do the dirty work first 😒

Onekidnoclue · 14/06/2020 13:37

Are you bubbling with your mum @gracex4 ?

Wish I was a randy beast. DH is feeling distinctly neglected Sad

gracex4 · 14/06/2020 13:42

@Onekidnoclue so my mum lives the next street from us and we have never been apart as at the time of lock down she was staying with us as her house was having works done when it all happened. Now house is sorted didn't make sense not to go back and carry on how we have been if that makes sense

SkylinesTurnstiles · 14/06/2020 14:05

@Onekidnoclue same here! I have told DH I will ‘relieve’ him but he knows my heart won’t be fully in it so would rather not. Bless him. I do feel bad!
I just have no libido in between being sick, sleeping and eating!

nmw93 · 14/06/2020 14:57

Okay I'm having a meltdown!

I have felt really good today, like, no sickness or tiredness... my boobs don't feel that sore and I've managed to eat quite a lot of food.

I've panicked and booked another early scan for tomorrow because I keep telling myself my awful symptoms shouldn't just disappear!

I'm 9+1 today so would expect things to start slowing down soon but I'm just so anxious about it!

Has anybody else experienced a similar thing?

gracex4 · 14/06/2020 14:59

Me! And I've had a few days like that and panicked then it all comes back 🤢xx

Onekidnoclue · 14/06/2020 15:16

@SkylinesTurnstiles you’re kinder than me. I just hide under the duvet and pretend to be asleep! Blush
