Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

I'm so sorry @Hopefulmummie. Sending all my love and prayers to you x

Hopefulmummie · 09/06/2020 16:12

So I'm being kept in overnight for observations as the sharp pain has came back
The Dr rescanned me and is happy enough that I don't need surgery and is going to give me injection and see how it goes x

gracex4 · 09/06/2020 16:37

Hopefulmummie · 09/06/2020 16:43

. It was the most horrible thing ever

gracex4 · 09/06/2020 16:46

Yeh I had to be swabbed for c19 not nice is it. Don't let this put u off trying. Everything happens for a reason x

Hopefulmummie · 09/06/2020 20:35

Dragon82 · 09/06/2020 22:58

Hi @Hopefulmummie I hope the hospital ward is OK and you are able to get rest. I don’t know if it is possible to sleep in situations like this but If it is possible I hope you get some sleep. Thinking of you and sending love. I really hope the next time for you is complication free. You are clearly a kind and strong woman and you will be an amazing mum one day soon xxx

Hopefulmummie · 09/06/2020 23:23

@dragon82 thank you for the lovely message. The hospital have been so good to me especially the midwives earlier. I'm now in the main hospital and on a side ward so hoping I get some sleep. I had the injection around 9pm and apparently it makes you really tired x

Onekidnoclue · 10/06/2020 09:14

Hope you had a restful night @Hopefulmummie x

Hopefulmummie · 10/06/2020 10:14

Thank you all.

So I've to stay in hospital until Sunday at least :( I really thought I was getting out today but because I'm in pain they have to keep an eye on me incase I need surgery.
They'll do my bloods tomorrow and Saturday and if the injection is working I'll be allowed home on Sunday

gracex4 · 10/06/2020 13:15

That's a long old time isn't it, get dh to get u magazines and lots of chocolates xx

footprintsintheslow · 10/06/2020 19:21

@Hopefulmummie it's devastating news for you. I found mumsnet invaluable through my losses because it always reminds you that you aren't alone.
There is always someone else who understands exactly what you are going though as there are so many threads happening all the time. Good luck over the next weeks. X

footprintsintheslow · 10/06/2020 19:35

Nice to see you here @Belalice. We have the same due date. X

Dia12 · 10/06/2020 22:14

The burping is bad isn't it!!!!!!!

Worther's originals have been saving my life. They take away the horrible bitter taste I have constantly.

Dragon82 · 10/06/2020 22:36

@Hopefulmummie sorry to hear you’re being kept in until Sunday but you will have a medical team looking after you so you’re in good hands. Hope you’re getting rest but I guess it’s a painful experience. Are you able to eat and sleep ok, or is it a case of just getting through it? Hope you get access to some effective painkillers in hospital rather than usual aspirin etc. Is your DH able to visit you? We are here for you. Hope you are able to avoid surgery, I have no idea what that involves. I think ectopic pregnancy is very rare so I’m sorry you’ve been so incredibly unfortunate xxx

Hopefulmummie · 10/06/2020 22:46

@dragon82 thank you for the message. I've had a tough day today firstly finding out I'll be here to Sunday. I've been in a lot of pain from about 12 today .. the worst pain on my left hand side where pregnancy is.. Dr said its to be expected once injection starts working I guess it's made worse knowing what's actually happening and bleeding more.
They gave me something stronger as I was in agony but I'm not great with strong pain relief and it completely wiped me out and made me feel horrible then I threw everything up :( it was a horrible few hours.
Still in pain but hoping to get something stronger soon to help me sleep. I slept ok last night woke up about 5 am today but think it will be different tonight as I had no pain last night

No visitors allowed up into the ward which is shit but I've been able to go downstairs to meet my husband and mummy and sister it was nice seeing them for the 1st.

I'm in a side ward so even more boring but think they'll be moving me to the main ward once my covid results come back clear.

Again thank you all for the thoughts x

Hopefulmummie · 10/06/2020 22:47

Surgery would require them removing the tube if the injection isn't working although they said it barely affects future fertility like you would think it would maybe only 2 or 3%

angelascott · 11/06/2020 07:55

@gracex4 I was also very sick yesterday and this morning, my eldest Foster boy (7) has said he wants me to get breakfast in bed... He's not being nice he just doesn't like me Gipping 😂.

Doctor gave me some tablets to help called cyclizine not started yet but hopefully when I do they will help with the sickness x

Hope the pain eases soon @Hopefulmummie, and you manage to get some rest xx

Onekidnoclue · 11/06/2020 10:02

Hope the tablets help @angelascott a friend of mine is on them and says they have worked wonders.

I’m currently debating the perfect toast intake. Too much and I’ll get constipated (again). Too little and I feel sick.... my life is so glamourous. I need to get off Instagram. I think everyone else is living it up looking hot and baking while I’m having a LONG ponder about the relative problems of stuck poo and sickness Blush

gracex4 · 11/06/2020 10:06
