Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

Onekidnoclue, it won't let me respond to you for some reason. Isn't pregnancy so glamorous... Gipping or being sick, can't poo, burping and trumping, checking the loo roll when we wipe and napping through the day but insomnia at night... It's just great haha x

angelascott · 11/06/2020 10:12

@gracex4 I ate some mint aero bubbles last night and suffered with indegestion/heartburn... On top of constant nausea it wasn't a great feeling... Then with trapped wind and constipation pains on top... My mood wasn't great haha x

Onekidnoclue · 11/06/2020 10:22

@Hopefulmummie if you do start a new thread could you let us all know? I’d love to know how things are going?

My nausea is off the scale but still not been sick. I’m losing weight and struggling to find food that I want to eat. Everything gives me indigestion and / or wind 😢

Opelbow · 11/06/2020 11:04

I had a whole 20 mins of feeling great this morning, put all the clothes away.

Then I had to sit /lie down, unable to move. Feeling I little better after a sleep. I've sent my OH to the farm shop ... half way down the road for jacket potatoes.. he isn't happy cos it's raining. I wasn't that sympathetic.

He looks at me ever time I fart, I just say I'm pregnant, talk to me after you've had a baby lol.

SkylinesTurnstiles · 11/06/2020 11:26

@Hopefulmummie
I’m so sorry for what you are going through. Must be so bloody crap! You seem like such a strong and courageous woman and I really do I wish you all the best for the future, as @Onekidnoclue said, let us know how you are getting on. Hope things aren’t too boring at the hospital. X

SkylinesTurnstiles · 11/06/2020 11:29

So new low for me today... I was sick all over my living room floor and I now can’t drink tea... bad times!

Onekidnoclue · 11/06/2020 13:15

NO TEA??? Nightmare @SkylinesTurnstiles

@Tink2020 I’m ashamed to say I’m jealous of the weight loss. I’m the biggest I’ve ever been and wobbly all over. Not sure what to do excercise wise so am doing nothing and eating for four Blush

@Opelbow he sounds well trained! I get tutted at for my wind but am now winking at hike when he looks at me which seems to have put him off giving me the evil eye!

My nausea seems to have vanished today! I'm also getting some sharp pains on both sides of my pelvis. Not extreme but can certainly feel them come and go ......really hoping all is well in there and it's not the beginning of the end 😑

nmw93 · 11/06/2020 15:28

Well ladies, today is the day my child doesn't want me to eat anything. I managed to force feed myself some toast and jam this morning but that's pretty much all that's been allowed to stay down.

I've got some sharp pain in my LLQ which I assume are trapped gas pains/constipation pain. I'm also dying to pee all the time put there's nothing there, maybe the start of a UTI?

I hate being so acutely aware of every little body twinge at the moment!

Opelbow · 11/06/2020 15:31

I'm going to aim to start doing some exercise from Monday. The day before my BFP I cycled 44 km. since then I've barely left the house as I'm working from home.

I'm going to charge and wear my Apple Watch and try to do the 30 mins of exercise it wants per day. Just gentle walking maybe cycling.

Onekidnoclue · 11/06/2020 15:40

@Opelbow that’s such a good idea. I’m going to try a really basic yoga video tomorrow.

I had my early scan on Tuesday. I thought I was 9 weeks pregnant but turns out I’m 10 weeks + 4!
It was absolutely wonderful to see our little baby and it took away all fear, anxiousness or dread. It was 150% worth it. Also I can feel a little bump under my fingers just below my bloated belly!

Dragon82 · 11/06/2020 19:14

@AliceGM Great that your further along than you thought! My scan is 14th July should be 12 weeks by then but fingers crossed it’s more.

Onekidnoclue · 11/06/2020 19:38

@AliceGM that’s wonderful! You’re clearly very efficient at this pregnancy malarkey!
@dragon82 I’m jealous you have a scan date. I’m tempted to get an early one with a harmony test a bit early.

Can I ask if anyone else is managing to work with all the symptoms they're having? I'm an emergency worker and although I am only on half hours and restricted to office work, with all the nausea I am really struggling!
@AliceGM wonderful news about the scan! Do you have your appointment for the 12 week scan?

gracex4 · 11/06/2020 20:16

@Belalice oh poor you can't be nice at all. Some days I can barely lift my head.

Belalice · 11/06/2020 20:24

@gracex4 there's been days where it has been torture! My manager knows and the boss knows, but we are still trying to keep it quiet until 12 weeks so nobody understands why I am struggling so much Sad

angelascott · 11/06/2020 20:27

I'm currently on sick leave due to sickness and tiredness and also that work are just pains in the backside and causing me undue stress.

I can't wait for my scan although we paid for a private one last Sunday she couldn't measure baby because of how it was laying 😢... We did hear heart beat tho, 8 weeks today estimate from midwife x

Belalice · 11/06/2020 20:29

@angelascott have you been signed off by the GP or just self certified sick leave? We had a scan last Sunday too, 8 weeks and 1 day and a heartbeat, I'm trying to feel less anxious after seeing that!

angelascott · 11/06/2020 20:46

We were 7+3 when we had our scan, yeah gp signed off for 2 weeks and then review for further 2 weeks but said wants me off until 12 weeks ideally. Xx

Dspx · 11/06/2020 21:08

Hi all new here so thought I would share. Found out we are expecting on the 4th of May not of a shock as we suffered a loss late last year and it took us 2.5 years to conceive then so to fall in a matter of months was a big surprise 🤞 this time things seem to be going smoother no bleeding still panic everytime I go to the loo got a private scan next week as our hospital are currently not letting partners in and after last time (took 5 scans over 7 weeks to diagnose loss) I just can’t go alone but anxiety has spiked this week waiting for the scan. Sorry to go on just felt like splurging my thoughts

Onekidnoclue · 11/06/2020 21:13

@dspx
Welcome to the club! We’re all totally paranoid so you’ll fit right in! Grin
I’m sorry about your loss and I’m sure it’s adding to your stress but try to be kind to yourself.

Had anyone started using any moisturiser to ease stretch marks or have used one before they can recommend? I want to get into a good habit of using one each evening ASAP.

Dspx · 11/06/2020 21:27

Thank you it’s so weird really want the scan to be over with so can relax a bit and enjoy being pregnant once the sickness stops lol but also don’t want to have it as don’t want to hear if it’s bad news this week Is going to be hell.
