Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

I brought this from not on the high street but I can't stand the smell at all 🤢 I wonder if it would work for anyone else

Due January - anyone else?
Lilo08 · 05/06/2020 22:42

I’m now 6wks +2 and experiencing no symptoms. Is anyone else in the same boat?
@ Onekidnoclue I am also going about as I did before pregnancy. Still maintaining social distance and washing hands that’s it

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 07:01

6 weeks today and I think the nausea has set in! I was gagging over the toilet bowl (sorry tmi) but nothing coming up. Felt nauseous as soon as my eyes opened

Seeker2020 · 06/06/2020 08:03

@hopefulmummie - that's around the time it started for me. I had a couple of weeks of just being really nauseous with nothing actually coming up and then 8 weeks it all became a bit more intense. I'm at 9+3 and having a little bit of a better time but evenings are bad. Are you resting enough?

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 08:50

@seeker2020 it's horrible feeling isn't it. Yeah because I've been bleeding midwife told me to rest so I have been the last week

Seeker2020 · 06/06/2020 09:59

@hopefulmummie - good, make sure you get lots of rest and water. The magazines and celebrities don't do us any service by making this stage look glamorous or easy.

Dia12 · 06/06/2020 10:26

Morning all, interesting you mention safety from CV @onekidnoclue, I've been thinking about this lately. The information available isn't quite consistent and I've found it confusing.

I've still been out to the shops when I need to, albeit a little less frequently and will probably hold fire when it comes to mixing with family even when lockdown eases.

Tink2020 · 06/06/2020 11:06

I’m on furlough at the moment do just going for walks for exercise and only to shops or chemist if I really have too. Not sure when I will be back at work though

Lovelife92 · 06/06/2020 11:27

I'm 8+1 now and have been back at work for 4 days this week. I work in a nursery and we have a lot less children. In which is nice but still on my feet all day. By the end of my shift on Thursday I was exhausted and felt sick, it lasted all of Thursday evening and the whole day Friday. I think the sickness was worse because I was so tired maybe? I'm feeling a little better today but spending the day resting!

Thumper13 · 06/06/2020 12:24

Hi all! Due 20th Jan had early scan last week and at 6+6 and saw heartbeat, this is mh 3rd child but 1st with my partner.

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 13:55

So had my scan they done a normal ultrasound and couldn't see anything but she said it could just be too early to see anything and cause I haven't been bleeding heavy it's not a bad thing. They're gonna scan me again in 2 weeks and if nothing there they'll do an internal scan.

Not sure what to think really didn't get the answers I needed :(

BabyDust13 · 06/06/2020 14:47

@Hopefulmummie I'm sorry you didn't get the answers you wanted. It's very strange that they didn't do an internal scan very frustrating for you

gracex4 · 06/06/2020 15:17

@Hopefulmummie hi hun so I had an early scan at 7+5 it was a private scan and it was internal. She showed me on the screen which looked like a big blob in fact bigger than the baby itself and told me that it is bigger than usual but nothing to worry about and I will experience some bleeding as this will always come away that some woman notice it and some don't some just get spotting and others almost like the start of a period I've never had this before and it still hasn't come away so try not to worry x

Tink2020 · 06/06/2020 15:29

This is my first pregnancy (I am currently 6 Weeks + 3). I am quite nervous as I don’t know what to expect. What’s classed as normal cramping? I have the occasional period like cramps and some muscular, tight feeling cramps x

gracex4 · 06/06/2020 15:57

@Tink2020 that's completely normal hun I'm getting really bad period pains at night like they wake me up x

Gabbs1992 · 06/06/2020 15:57

I’m the same first pregnancy and I’ve had a fair bit of cramping, getting it most days and it’s a bit like period cramps... I’m 6 weeks 1 day Xx

Tink2020 · 06/06/2020 16:00

That puts my mind at rest a bit, I have my booking appointment in ten days so will probably feel better then too.

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 16:00

@gracex4 that's reassuring thank you. It really helps hearing similar stories.

My bleeding has almost but gone away. Hoping it stays away I couldn't deal with the stress of it lol

gracex4 · 06/06/2020 16:08

I get that I feel like I'm waiting for mine to come and go and it's not then I'm like why isn't it happening 😬 I'm 9 weeks Monday x

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 16:31

@gracex4 I know you feel always on edge. But I've read loads it's so common throughout pregnancy just one of them things

gracex4 · 06/06/2020 17:00

Has anyone got any weird cravings I can't stop eating marmite, with my boys I craved talc n powder i used to eat it! 🤢

Gabbs1992 · 06/06/2020 17:14

@gracex4 haha no way! I’ve not had any yet, not really had much of an appetite but I’m forcing myself to eat anyway Xx

Opelbow · 06/06/2020 17:31

@gracex4 I've started eating peanut butter and banana on toast for breakfast. Not something I ever thought about before.

I've gone off coffee and chocolate. Even though I've having decafe coffee since January.

gracex4 · 06/06/2020 19:38

I'd love to hear some funny ones 🤣 I can't drink coffee at all an I live off it usually. So at the very start I craved milk couldn't get enough of it in fact We got a milkman 3 times a week which we still have because I'm to embarrassed to cancel him 🤣 but I can't touch the stuff x

Onekidnoclue · 06/06/2020 19:41

Wish I had gone off chocolate Envy
I’m currently putting marmite on everything. Pasta. Cheese. Cucumber. At this point I’m even disgusting myself Blush
