Just got my BFP after six bloody long months of trying. Thrilled but a bit weirded out! Anyone in the same boat?

@BabyDust13 yep is my first. I'll turn 30 in December. My OH has 2 children, 7 and 9. There are coming for the weekend, I'm trying to rest today so I have some energy for the weekend.

Tiredness is definitely my biggest thing. I'm so glad to be working from home. I'm sure if I had to go to work I would feel a lot sicker. I'm lucky to be able to eat a bit and sleep if I feel sick.

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 10:25

@gracex4 wow I think a big family is awesome I just don't think I'm brave enough although if my oh has his way we'd have a football team 😂

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 10:27

Well I was actually happy with 4 they are all 2 yrs apart 12,10,8,6 which was lovely 3 boys 1 girl then we had this little surprise which is due a year to the day my Nan passed away I believe everything happens for a reason x

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 10:28

@Opelbow I'm so glad I can work from home I don't know how I'd cope if I had to go to the office. I need to lie down all the time it's the only thing that makes my cramps better.

Sounds like you have your hands full at the weekend I don't know if I'd be able to find the energy

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 10:30

@gracex4 Aw that's lovely 🥰

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 10:31

I've been off work 3 weeks now I actually think it's easier to be at work takes your mind off it. I spend my days looking at what I should be doing on the laptop and what housework needs doing but lucky if I do the washing atm

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 10:44

@gracex4 my flat looks like a bombs gone off my OH keeps saying don't worry I'll do it then doesn't do I'm have a mini protest I don't think he's realised yet 😂

Opelbow · 05/06/2020 10:55

@BabyDust13 @gracex4 I'm interested to see how this weekend goes. I normally get all the kids toys out, make dinner, put washing on etc. But I'm just going to focus on resting so I can be awake during the day lol.
I'm sure the kids will do a good job of getting there things out in 5 mins.

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 10:56

🤣it's awful isn't it my dh is still working full time and thinks I'm a lazy so and so right now I'm like next time your ill or hungover I'm going to make u do everything x

Confused88 · 05/06/2020 11:12

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 11:20

@Confused88 have you tried the anti sickness bands I've never used them but have seen posts that recommend them I think you can get them on amazon 😊

Onekidnoclue · 05/06/2020 11:37

More pregnant ladies! Whoop! I’ve got such a good feeling about this group. I think we’re all going to be fine.
Was telling DH I can’t believe I’m so chilled when I was shitting it last time. He’s pointed out I’m on a chunky dose of anti anxiety pills ConfusedGrin
@Confused88 have you had a scan or are you due on on Tuesday? Did you see a heartbeat?
@gracex4 I think you should give yourself a break. I’m achieving so little at work. I just want to lie down with my eyes closed and eat special k out the box.
@Opelbow you too! Bet the kids will have a great time throwing toys everywhere! Grin

I’m 6 weeks +2 and I am shattered. Loads of nausea but not been sick... yet. My OH thinks I’m being lazy.

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 12:07

This is my scan at 7+5 Grinlooks like a jacket potato 🥔

ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia · 05/06/2020 12:08

@gracex4 aww that’s lovely!

I have my first scan tomorrow. I’ll be 8+1 hopefully! I’m shitting it to say the least!!

ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia · 05/06/2020 12:11

Ohhh and I was already on here... had to NC after a particularly catty thread I started on the relentless AIBU 😂😂

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 12:11

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia yours will look like a baby the change in a week is crazy! X

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 12:31

@Onekidnoclue at least special k is healthy 🤣I'm eating a box of chocolate squares as we speak

Gingeranimals · 05/06/2020 12:35

@Confused88 I am the same as you, feel sick all day between 5am and 8pm. My mum posted me some of the sea sickness bands and it's my first day trying them but I do feel better. Like mildly queasy instead of hideously queasy. Might be coincidence though :/

It's exciting to think of people having scans, makes it feel more real! I am still waiting to hear back from the midwife after the self referral so it doesn't feel 'official' yet.

Seeker2020 · 05/06/2020 13:49

This fatigue is really kicking my @$$. Baby number 1 for me. Can any mums with DCs give an idea of when the fatigue is usually meant to improve?

SkylinesTurnstiles · 05/06/2020 14:00

Anyone trying if to eat healthy but it’s just bit happening?! 😂
Here is my lunch. I’m struggling and forcing myself to eat it so I don’t eat more biscuits haha.

Due January - anyone else?
gracex4 · 05/06/2020 14:41

@Seeker2020 it usually ends within the first trimester (on paper) but some suffer on and off the whole why through although I've never had it like this I'm praying there's an end x

Onekidnoclue · 05/06/2020 15:42

Might be an idiotic question but is anyone upping their safety wrt coronavirus?
A couple of pregnant friends are now on total lockdown. Effective shielding. I’m just carrying on as I was before. So being careful, following the rules but not washing shopping or wearing a mask all the time etc.
DS is at nursery full time and DH is in the office so not exactly low risk but I’m not carrying on as if it wasn’t happening ifyswim?

Congrats! I’m due jan, can’t help but stress over every little thing at the moe. Scan seems so far away!! Xx

Gingeranimals · 05/06/2020 16:34

@Onekidnoclue I am same as you, sticking to social distancing etc but not doing anything different to before I was pregnant. I can see why someone in third trimester might be more cautious though. Currently working from home but I am starting a new job in a couple of weeks (terrible timing!) and will have to go in to an office quite a bit for that.
