hey girl, I've been TTC for 5 months and got my BFP on 22.5.20. now 5 weeks and 5 days I'm so happy just been assigned my midwife and waiting for her to call me within the next 10 days and waiting for my letter to tell me when first scan is. I had nausea and headache and sore nipples but I dont seem to have any symptoms now except sore nipples so I keep testing and still a strong positive has this happens to anyone else. I really want an early acan to check everything is ok

Hopefulmummie · 04/06/2020 21:02

@emdavies hi and congratulations. I am also 5 weeks and 5 days and don't have any symptoms at all except slightly sore symptoms so worried too but I've read this is comman and they can just kick in

Hi ladies, I'm 7 weeks today and due 21st Jan. Lots of nausea all through out the day and struggling to even look or smell some of my fav foods without feeling sick.

This was a total surprise and very welcome pregnancy (previous ivf MC and natural MC 4 years ago)

Hope everyone is well x

I’m so excited by people joining this thread!
It’s a bit tragic but I’m honestly really thrilled to have pregnancy buddies even if it is anonymous and online! Grin
Everyone seems very on it with their appointments. After my gp told me to call the MW direct I rang and there was just an answer message saying to complete a form online which I did. Only thing I’ve heard so far is that they don’t cover my area so will pass my details on. Not doing brilliantly am I Blush

@Onekidnoclue I'm in the same boat with appointments. Where I live it's seams complex. Rang doctor, was given number, rang number, given new number. Got through to community MW told to call hospital I wanted and ring her back when 14 weeks. Rang hospital first question "what is your NHS number?" . . . "Err..I'll have to call you back".

Now found NHS number but rang after they were shut for the day.

Hopefully will get that booking appointment sorted today. Smile

angelascott · 05/06/2020 07:35

I haven't yet received a booking appointment however I did manage to register with the midwifes after a call to the gp, then a number they gave me for a different area then calling the right number and eventually getting through... Just want my first appointment and scan to come quick xx

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 07:53

Mine was pretty much the same very weird set up I called docs who told me to go on a website and self refer so I did and that was that then just over 2 weeks later I get this text which could be for anyone from anyone about anything 🤣

Tink2020 · 05/06/2020 08:19

I called my surgery and they made me a booking appointment straight away as they have a midwife on site several days a week. Got a week and a half until I see her.

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 08:35

@gracex4 that's the exact text I got except mine is the 18th

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 08:42

@BabyDust13 I was sat for a while wondering if it was an appointment for something else or for dc as I couldn't think why I'd have it lol

Onekidnoclue · 05/06/2020 08:44

It’s such a mess isn’t it. I don’t understand how the booking appointment could be by phone. They took loads of blood at mine the first time! Oh well. Will find out soon I hope. 7 weeks today! Realised I’d had a scan already with DS and another booked in plus had seen gp and knew when booking appointment was!!

Hi everyone, I've finally signed up so I can join in Smile due my first on 23rd Jan after 12 long months of trying and feeling horribly seasick! Thank goodness for working from home right now.

Tink2020 · 05/06/2020 09:06

My booking appointment is in the surgery, I have to call from the car park and the midwife will let me in. I have to go to the hospital to get my bloods done as I’m difficult to bleed.

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 09:14

Hey @Gingeranimals I literally still feel sick all the time I'm 8+4 today 🤢congrats tho! X

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 09:36

@gracex4 I was confused because I hadn't had the letter through the post yet 😂

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 09:38

@BabyDust13 did u get a letter too? I didn't even get one at all 🤣

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 09:58

@gracex4 yeah a few days later it came in the post I don't think it says anything too interesting

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 10:17

How weird we all probably know each other 🤣small world

sleaterminnie · 05/06/2020 10:18

I found out I was pregnant a week and a half ago. First pregnancy. Calculator says it thinks I am due right at the beginning of Feb though? I took one of those "up to 5 days early" tests 4 days before my period was due on a whim, and came up BFP.

Also 6 (also long!) months of trying. Have spent the last week and a half swinging between wanting to be happy and not wanting to get ahead of myself. Doesn't help that it seems like everyone I know is slightly more pregnant than me, so it keeps flashing through my head than in 8 months they're all going to have babies and I'm going to have miscarried and its going to be super hard.

BabyDust13 · 05/06/2020 10:19

@Opelbow @gracex4 it's a small world lol are you having your first babies?

I'm 33 and this is mine and my OHs first he wants 3 but the way I'm feeling right now 1 might be enough 😂😂

Loads of cramps and back ache

gracex4 · 05/06/2020 10:22

I'm 28 and this isn't my first baby it's actually no5. I'm the worst person on MN big family's are frowned apon 😬.
