@MrsR16 It’s so weird, I was thinking back to getting my BFP for the twins the other day - some days it feels like yesterday but others it feels like a lifetime ago! I bet now Ethans here the pregnancy also feels like a distant memory!!

@TrashKitten10 Ah thanks lovely - wow a 9 pounder!! Well done you! I will definitely let everyone know as soon as I can once the twins are here :)

@PippaPug Thanks lovely! How are you feeling at the moment? Funnily enough they don’t do the steroid injections at my hospital if you’re going to deliver post 37 weeks so I’ve managed to swerve that one - how have you found them? Hurray for big babies - looks like we’re both going to have some chunky twins on our hands!! Do you find you are constantly congratulated at hospital for keeping them in so long/growing them so big?! I get it every time!

@purplefig Ugh the first lie in didn’t go to plan, I woke at 3 and couldn’t drift off again until 6... so glad it isn’t just us wobbling on names at the midnight hour! Yep ours will be Irish names - narrowing it right down and making it even harder for ourselves!! Hope you enjoyed your last yoga class!

Had a scare this morning; after a shocking night trying to sleep I woke quite late (well, around 9) - twin 2 dancing the jig as always but couldn’t feel twin 1 at all. I tried absolutely everything, I must have had a full litre of orange juice, chocolate, prodding at his side of my belly and I just got nothing. I called DH at 11 and just broke down, and we were soon off to triage. I literally cried all the way there! We had a CTG and as much as she struggled to find twin 1, he’s there and heart is pounding away. She told me he’s very low now, and position wise twin 2 is actually almost sitting on top of him so masking some of the stronger movements. The little swines! I’m so relieved, but it was horrible - I was terrified. Tracking twin movements is such a minefield!!

Have v mild cramping to day but not coming to anything yet. Still losing what I think is show?? Have another sweep booked for tomorrow but have everything crossed to avoid it!

How long til your induction @cupcakesandglitter ?

@LikeTheFruit ahh fingers crossed for you, you'll meet your baby super super soon and it'll all be worth it 🥰 hopefully baby kicks into gear tonight and you avoid that sweep 🤞🏽 mine is a week on Saturday, but I've had reduced movements so there's a possibility it may be moved forward eeeeek 😬

Wow, been a while since I posted here! Been so busy with uni and life in general. In case some of you don’t know who I am, I’m a graduate of the TTC after loss thread many moons ago grin

Backstory: I suffered a MMC at 12 weeks with my first pregnancy back in April 2018. I didn’t discover this until I went for my 12 week scan, expecting all to be well. Needless to say it was devastating. I chose to go the surgical route.

Much quicker than expected, I got a BFP in June 2018, about 9 weeks after my MMC. I was overjoyed but also terrified, and had almost convinced myself this pregnancy was also going to end in tragedy. How did it go?

That’s it!! Officially off on Maternity Leave!!
What a day it’s been too. Never thought I’d be preparing everyone for home working as a result of COVID-19 on my last day 😂

I think I’ve started to lose some of my plug. Typical that I won’t actually get any maternity leave, if it really is happening, haha!

@Larrydavid - it really flies over doesn’t it? How are you doing and what do you need to buy?
We’re calling him Finlay Alexander when he decided to grace us with his presence (I’m getting impatient now!)

Ahh yay @ELW85 now you can relax a bit more 😁 Finlay is a gorgeous name! Losing some plug is a good sign - hope you get a little time to yourself before he arrives! I'm good thankyou, I've got a week until induction but I've got to go in for monitoring every two days until then for reduced movements. I don't mind so much really, as long as she's safe! So surreal that she's going to be here soon 🥺

Still no news here! Had second sweep yesterday. Cervix has t changed at all since Monday 😭😭. Hoping something will happen before booked induction on Monday. Baby's head is v low so midwife is still hopeful for me!

@ELW85 happy mat leave. Finlay is a gorgeous name. COVID-19 has worried me a bit too few people have been sent home from work yesterday with fevers and sore throats. If I can I'll wfh as much as possible I think just to protect me and little one.
@cupcakesandglitter little lady will be here before you know it and you can have all those lovely snuggles.
@LikeTheFruit you've obviously made a lovely home the last 9 months and they don't want to leave! Keeping everything crossed you go into labour before the induction

Baby was a little pickle this morning wouldn't move despite me trying everything so trip to day assessment unit. All ok thankfully and DH was so reassuring. Met up with a friend and her 4 month old today was nice having someone who's been through it all recently. X

Pleased the monitoring went well. I’ve been in a few times and it’s always better to be safe than sorry!

I’m sat here hoping little one gets his bum into fear this week; I really don’t fancy a sweep on Friday 🥺

I'm 35 weeks on Tuesday, it's so surreal how little time is left!!

Had my baby shower yesterday, which was so so amazing. My friends went above and beyond what I even expected, I had such a great time. Debated for ages whether to go ahead because of everything happening, but we took the necessary precautions, lots of hand gel, not too close contact so hopefully it'll be okay.
Attached a photo of the set up my friend did - she even got two blossom trees in which was crazy! 😍

Two weeks left till maternity leave starts, but only four more days in the office!! I'm so excited to finally finish!

@ELW85 i think we've got a name, just waiting to see her face before we decide 100% 😊 hope your cold has cleared up?! You might not have imagined it, a lot of women have it coming away slowly - I lost a tiny bit yesterday but nothing since, frantic googling showed me it can happen weeks before labour apparently 😒 hoping Finlay makes an appearance before your sweep!

I can't believe I'm only five days away!! I suddenly don't feel ready?! But I'm also so ready?! I can't wait to meet her 😭 I'm worried about COVID and visitation etc on the wards, hoping they're super tight with it all. Shops round here are completely empty of all essentials so I'm panicking a little!!

@cupcakesandglitter wow 5 days to go is super exciting. In so sorry that CV is causing you stress, it's such a shame to have this hanging around such a special time, and the panic buying is ridiculous. Hopefully you've got everything for a few weeks of baby being here? If not shout, I'm sure between us here we can help you find things :)

So Corona is frustrating. I can't escape it now, it's everywhere you read, talk, watch. It was my birthday yesterday and it really didn't feel like! Selfish I know, but it's the only day I get to pretend it's all about me 😂

Last one before little one is here 🥺🥰 I think I've got everything I need Thankyou, it was more I'm doing the batch cooking atm and there just isn't anything at all, even pasta!! Managed to get some meals done last night, but hoping to try and get something cooked each evening so I don't have to worry when she's here 😂 Essex maternity unit have put only one named visitor for women and it has to be the same person the whole time, and no siblings allowed! (Sorry, more COVID talk eek!!! 🤦🏻‍♀️)

It’s our first wedding anniversary today and the first day of Mat leave, so safe to say I’m taking it super-easy!

I don’t have much planned for this week other than try to keep my mother at bay as she expected to see me every day (took the week off and didn’t tell me) but I’ve been quite clear I really don’t want babysitting! Plus she works in leisure and I’m trying to isolate myself from all of that. I know she’s excited but I don’t think she’s seeing it from my perspective at the moment.

@cupcakesandglitter - I really hope he appears pre-sweep too! I can’t be doing with it but will if I have to 😢
You’re definitely ready for everything! It’s just last minute jitters; you’ll smash it!

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing fab! It’s my second wedding anniversary today, celebrating with two cranky babies - I’ve already been both pooed and puked on! They are really starting to come on now though, gaining plenty of weight and so much more alert. An absolute must buy - a sensory light. The boys are utterly mesmerised by it!

So I'm a little upset - DH and I were going to go for a meal this week as our last one together... but now it's come out we need to be "shielded" for the 12 weeks I'm thinking it's not sensible to go. That's a shame, was really looking forward to it ☹️

35+3 today and just wanting bubs here! Went for a surprise so no idea if the wiggle bum is a boy or girl, but I cant wait!

Well I'm now wfh for the foreseeable! More than likely until baby arrives. Can't see my family as mum is asthmatic, aunt has a cough and grandparents aren't in best health and elderly! Any tips for staying sane wfh this much?!

Do the restaurant you were doing to go to do Deliveroo? Have a romantic night in and bring the restaurant to you 😊

@MrsH497 I've worked from home and you really do just adapt!
TV and radio and doing chores whilst kettle is boiling helps break up the day.

Usually I'd say go for a walk to break the week up and take a longer lunch, but that may not be possible atm!
