@YorkshireIndie 😂 at you eating pineapple in the bath, brilliant.
I’ve still no signs. These babies are obviously pretty cosy at the moment!
@Frizzy1986 hope you are ok, must be really stressful along with looking after a newborn. I hope you can get sorted soon.

secretlyhermione · 19/10/2019 08:41

@YorkshireIndie also still pregnant here Grin had some mild cramping in the evening but that's been pretty regular over the last few weeks so thinking nothing of it. I agree with @Maryrobinson81, our wombs are way too cozy for these babies!!
@Frizzy1986 sorry to hear you're going through all this...hang in tight, the postpartum period is hard!
What is everyone's plans today? Apart from fielding the continuous messages of "has baby arrived yet?!?" I'm meeting a friend for coffee after lunch and going to maybe play some playstation with my DP as it's absolutely pouring here so not a walking around type of day. Hope we have some babies appear this weekend!!

Positivity86 · 19/10/2019 09:15

Morning everyone, also still pregnant 🙋🏻‍♀️
I've had a very small amount of pinky brown discharge this morning, so not sure if that's the start of something (I haven't had anything like it the whole pregnancy) so will keep an eye on it! No cramps or anything though and feel pretty normal otherwise?

secretlyhermione · 19/10/2019 09:40

@positivity86 when's your dd or have you already passed it?

secretlyhermione · 19/10/2019 09:40

DD for due date not darling daughter Grin

Jojo7979 · 19/10/2019 09:53

Morning, another still 🤰 and waiting. I was due last Tuesday, saw midwife and as baby wasn’t fully engaged she couldn’t do a sweep. Got another appointment this afternoon to see if it is moved any further down to try again. I’m not sure it’s moved despite what feels like hours of bouncing, baths and pineapples.

Hopefully this afternoon I will have a bit of a plan of what the next steps will be 🤞. Is it wishful thinking that this time next week baby will be here?!

Hope you all get some movements soon!

gkeal3 · 19/10/2019 10:08

Due date for me today. No signs yet, the odd tightening but I've had that for weeks and it doesn't develop into anything.
On my fourth baby and they've all been born before due date so I'm feeling a bit fed up that I'm still sat here pregnant with this one 🤣

Hoping everyone still waiting like me has some progress soon x

Frizzy1986 · 19/10/2019 11:01

@Positivity86 mine started with some pink discharge. Then got a bit more an hour or so later.
By late afternoon I had a baby. Fx for you

secretlyhermione · 19/10/2019 11:03

Update from me: I seem to have lost my mucus plug just now! So hopefully things are happening, although I know you can technically lose this over a couple of days... this happen to anyone else??

Sw2102 · 19/10/2019 11:11

Gosh there are loads of us waiting on babies now! Hope they come soon!

YorkshireIndie · 19/10/2019 11:15

Morning! Checking into the still pregnant club! Driving is officially uncomfortable. Glad to hear that you have lost/losing your mucus plug @secretlyhermione!

Anyone else having poor sleep? Going to blame the dog for my lack of sleep last night. For some reason he wanted to be close and then I woke up at 6am needing to eat 😫🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

Sw2102 · 19/10/2019 11:18

Yes finding it really hard to fall asleep at night, then up at least once for a wee, then DD has us up at 6 something. Then I try to end up napping when she naps, or I do the worst thing of falling asleep when I put her to bed and then I am screwed for falling asleep at my bedtime. However still struggled to fall asleep before midnight last night despite keeping myself awake earlier on!

Positivity86 · 19/10/2019 11:42

@secretlyhermione my due date is on Wednesday so I'm 39+3. My discharge is definitely a bit mucousy too and seems to be coming out bit by bit. Sounds like things are happening for you too! Exciting!

@Frizzy1986 that is encouraging to hear! How soon did your contractions start after?

Frizzy1986 · 19/10/2019 12:25

@Positivity86 well I'd had a random single cramp about 2-3hrs before I spotted the blood but thought nothing of it as it was fairly common by that point but had never turned into anything.
Contractions slowly started about 3-4hrs later, around 20 mins apart. Continued like that for a while and then about 10-15 mins apart around 7 hrs after spotting the blood. Then active labour around 9hrs after spotting the blood. Ds born 40 mins after that.
I had no clue the day before that I was going to go into labour. It just kicked off and was over within 10hrs.

Em39ma · 19/10/2019 12:36

Today was our due date, hard to believe Isobel is nearly 2 weeks old.
I hope all of you that are still pregnant start to pop. I know how uncomfortable I was at 37 weeks, so the thought of going over is awful.
Isobel is nearly back to birth weight after last weekend’s trip to stay at the hospital.

Positivity86 · 19/10/2019 12:46

@Frizzy1986 wow so pretty quick for you then! This is my first baby so not sure how quickly things will happen. Definitely think I'm loosing my plug now, keep feeling wet and running to the loo and there is more mucous each time, tinged with blood. I thought I felt a mild cramp a minute ago but hard to be sure. I can't concentrate now on anything!! Just at home bumbling around, hubby is at the gym!

cattaxi · 19/10/2019 15:17

Hello! How is everyone?
We are doing well. Ds is lovely and the 2 older ones adore him. I’m recovering well from the section & dh is doing a grand job of keeping our ship afloat. Thinking of trying a walk around the block later if the rain stops.

Sorry to those still in the shit sleep club. Big sympathy and solidarity. Ds2 is proving a bit nocturnal so far and likes to feed non stop between about 2-6am. Good job he’s cute!

We should definitely get a post natal thread going when all the babies are here. It’s nice to have a place to chat.

How are you feeling today @Frizzy1986? If if you get seen? Don’t hesitate to go if you are worried. Calling out of hours would probably get you directed to the right place. It’s such a worrying and overwhelming time. I hope your chest has stopped hurting? Take care of yourself.

Are you better today @KatnissK? I keep waiting for the blues to hit me, but I’m ok so far. Still buzzing from the novelty of not being pregnant! They will probably be like a double decker bus when they come.

It won’t be long now for all of those waiting. The end of pregnancy is so uncomfortable. I swear I feel more comfortable now 5 days post section with a newborn than I did this time last week!

Congratulations on your new job @YorkshireIndie. Fingers crossed all that pineapple does the trick!

Good luck to everyone still waiting. Mucus plug is a good sign @secretlyhermione.

Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying their weekends. It’s taken me 3 hours to write this post in between poo’s , feeds & various 4 year old needs!

HJWT · 19/10/2019 15:39

Iv waited in all day for the midwife but no one has come and they finish at 4 🤷🏻‍♀️ suppose to be doing the heal prick test and my foot is swollen so I don't know what I am meant to do now and obviously the phone never gets answered with no one being there 🥴

OP posts:
Em39ma · 19/10/2019 17:16

@HJWT, mine never showed up on Thursday. I’m going to see them on Monday to hopefully be signed off. It’s the fact they don’t even phone to say there not coming.

HJWT · 19/10/2019 20:08

@Em39ma When they ring me I will be telling them because he isn't even a week old, he has jaundice and his belly button looks a bit wet which isn't great and iv not got another appointment with them till Thursday 🤷🏻‍♀️ its not good xx

How is everyones mood that has had baby by the way? I feel quite down atm! Hope you are all feeling ok xx

OP posts:
Figuringitout · 19/10/2019 20:31

@HJWT - do you have a unit you could go in to? The midwife unit here have been great and saw Ada twice when I had niggly concerns, I just took her in.
I’ve been on a total high for the last two weeks, no tears, nothing. But today I feel like I have crashed. I think it’s a combination of crap sleep, hormones and the reality of having 3 kids!! I’ve cried a bit today, but mainly had rage. Poor DH has copped it massively. I hope it’s just a blip, but I will be keeping a close eye on it.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. Looking forward to the next batch of babies arriving.

cattaxi · 19/10/2019 21:01

@HJWT here we have to contact the maternity assessment unit with any concerns up to about 6 weeks. The midwives only cover the routine stuff and as we are rural, if one of them is at a home birth, there isn’t anyone else around. Might be worth trying them tomorrow?

I hope you feel better tomorrow @figuringitout. The lack of sleep is brutal on your mood I find. Be gentle with yourself & rest as much as you can 💐

Em39ma · 19/10/2019 21:30

@HJWT my mood is good, only day I had a bit of bad day was day 5 and it was the day we were taken back into hospital too.
That’s really bad especially if they know is slightly jaundice, that was why we were taken back in, because they didn’t listen to me when I told them I thought Isobel was jaundice before we left the hospital the first time.

Frizzy1986 · 19/10/2019 22:24

@hjwt do you have a midwife answerphone number on the front of your notes? It's what I have but I expect I'm under a different community team to you.
I was told that they plan the route on the day so you can call in the morning to get an idea of time so you aren't left waiting in for them.
It's really bad that no one showed.

Try and remember that a lot of the emotions will be hormones and it will get better. I know that's not really much comfort at all.
I was crying today as Orson is struggling with gas and I can't make things better for him. I'm often overwhelmed with worry and emotion at something bad happening and just cry and kiss him a lot.

SC0508 · 19/10/2019 23:13

Hope everyone has had a great day! Can't wait to see more babies arriving not long now 😁

I have been such an emotional wreck today every time I look at my baby I just burst into tears, he's been such a daddy's boy that I feel he doesn't want me. OH has been amazing and reassured me that we are bonding it's just my emotions.

My DS is in love with his baby brother which has also had me in tears 😂 been cuddling up to both my boys today and every time has ended with me crying my heart out telling them I love them so much 😂

Baby Zac has been really good since getting home barely cried and has settled really well into a routine which has been fantastic 😀

Glad both children are keeping me busy as the last few days my mind has been playing tricks on me, I stopped smoking when I found out I was pregnant and the last few days my mind has been thinking about it but I am determined not to cave and stay strong but has been really difficult!
