@Frizzy1986 Yeah I left them a message so will be waiting for them to get back to me! Hopefully won't be to long but I am not waiting in for them all day again I made plans to go and see family today and really need to go food shopping and take DD to get new shoes on Monday whilst I have DH to help! 🥴

@SC0508 I remember with DD I cried a lot but this time iv had a few low moments which has been horrible, find myself constantly worrying if DD is getting enough attention but she loves her brother and isn't even bothered about me atm so its trying to find a happy balance! Also the fact the days are going to quick is upsetting me 🤦🏻‍♀️

@HJWT and @KatnissK Awww your babies are so gorgeous!!!!

An update from me...I had bloody discharge all day yesterday which got worse last night...went in for an assessment and turns out waters have been going slowly since 6am yesterday. Still going now! Baby was fine so came back home for the night but have barely slept as I've been having contractions...they are still bearable at the moment though. We have to go back in this morning in any case for monitoring in case of infection risk to baby. Excited to meet our little one soon hopefully!

secretlyhermione · 20/10/2019 07:53

So lovely to see all the babies!!
@Positivity86 so exciting!! You will meet your baby soon, keep us posted!
40+3 here today and apart from losing my mucus plug yesterday and some very very mild cramps still nothing to report home about. I think I will be bouncing away on my ball today, doing some yoga, and going up and down some stairs, I really want this baby to come! If anyone has any other natural induction suggestions I'm all ears!

Maryrobinson81 · 20/10/2019 09:40

@Positivity86 wow very exciting hope it all gets going for you soon!
@secretlyhermione hope you get some more signs soon. I’ve been trying all the usual suggestions and nothings working. Getting frustrated as I’m hardly sleeping now. Last night I was really crampy but not in a contraction way. I am 41 weeks tomorrow!
Weather is nice here today so when hubby back from feeding pigs think we will all go to the beach or something.
Such beautiful babies @HJWT @Katnissk. Hope we all have some more babies very soon!

secretlyhermione · 20/10/2019 09:56

@Maryrobinson81 I can imagine you're quite uncomfortable!! I now also have a pretty bad lower back ache and continue losing my plug so really hoping things will kick off soon. I'm going to do some labour inducing exercises soon and continue bouncing on my ball which my cat seems to have made a hole in as it deflates so quickly (perfect timing!!)

Maryrobinson81 · 20/10/2019 10:03

Ooh @secretleyhermione that sounds like things are going in the right direction!! Bouncing on ball definitely good idea, can’t believe your cat haha, I can’t keep the children off mine don’t know how they haven’t popped it. I nearly fell off it yesterday when one of mine ran up to it to bounce off it 🙈

HJWT · 20/10/2019 10:24

@Positivity86 ooh so exciting hopefully you will have a baby by the end of today 🤞🏻 x

@secretlyhermione I have no suggestions! Bouncing on a ball is good though!

I nearly gave birth on a ball, Rolling on the ball and gas & air was life saving!! With my first gas and air did nothing but the midwife coached me through when using it this time so it was amazing this time 🤣

40wks today and waiting!
Congratulations to all those who've had theirs. Honestly thought I'd be there too!

homley · 21/10/2019 03:09

Hi everyone sorry I am so late posting but DD was born on her due date (10th) after a long 46 hour labour 😴 far far from my ideal birth, but still managed to get her here naturally with only gas and air so happy with that at least. DD is still unnamed. I am loving being her mum but missing being pregnant with her.
She was 7lb7 but we then had to have a few days in hospital under the lights for jaundice which wasnt a pleasant experience as I had my confidence in breastfeeding majorly knocked.
Congratulations to everyone else, sorry I havent been following so will need to go back and have a catch up and good luck to those still waiting ❤

userabcname · 21/10/2019 07:25

Congratulations @homley! Sorry to hear its been a tough start but hope things are improving now. I know what you mean about missing pregnancy- I keep thinking 'oh no I've not felt him kick!' then realising he's in my arms!

Maryrobinson81 · 21/10/2019 08:25

Had one of those never ending nights last night, sleep for half an hour, wake up and then awake for over an hour, and just on repeat like that zzzzzzz
41 weeks today! Can’t believe I’m still here. Next sweep not until Wednesday which I’m dreading as with different midwife and I’ll be all worked up about it!!

secretlyhermione · 21/10/2019 09:05

Congratulations @homley!
@Maryrobinson81 have also been sleeping very poorly and also still pregnant! 40+4 today and have a midwife appointment tomorrow so hoping I'll get a proper sweep to move things along. I've had some light cramping and think I lost my bloody show this morning but cramps are still very mild so who knows? Hope you're holding up ok!!

YorkshireIndie · 21/10/2019 10:11

😍 at the new baby pictures! Congratulations @homley!

Just been for my second sweep and no change 😣 Booked in for another one on Wednesday. On serious crack down to get baby out before the planned induction next week

gkeal3 · 21/10/2019 12:30

Any advice on how to bring on labour??

Now sat here at 40+2 feeling pretty miffed my baby isn't here already and the possibility of being pregnant for another 10 days is driving me crazy 😂😂

I've tried long walks, hot baths, pineapple, sex......I guess they really do just come when they are ready 😭

waitingforbebe · 21/10/2019 12:47

Hi all, congratulations to those who have their babies in their arms Thanks I've been watching this thread for a couple weeks, I'm currently 41+2 and the last couple of weeks have been so emotional.. I've tried nearly all the labour inducing tactics and been fielding calls and texts for over two weekst.. waiting for a baby at this point seems so hard?? I was recommended a group on facebook called 10 month mamas which has been one of the only positive groups I've found for overdue mamas. Hope it might make some over overdue mamas feel less awful. Fingers crossed our babies all arrive safely very soon!

gkeal3 · 21/10/2019 13:34

@waitingforbebe hi, I feel bad moaning now when you've been waiting a week longer than me. I'm 2 days over and feeling so fed up!
It's the not knowing isn't it, everyday I'm thinking will it be today and then no it's not 🤣 is this your first baby? I'm waiting for baby 4 and my other 3 were all born by due date so I was so sure this one would be too! Serves me right for being so smug I guess 🤦🏼‍♀️ wishing you labour very soon xxx

secretlyhermione · 21/10/2019 14:04

@waitingforbebe @gkeal3 I've also been trying everything and NADA. I take some comfort that my mom went a week over with my sister so maybe it runs in the family... I also get tons of texts and calls everyday asking where the baby is but actually it's very normal for babies to be born after the due date! Trying to be patient as well although it is tough never knowing when baby will come. Whats helped me is having at least one thing a day to look forward to and keep me busy. So today am meeting colleagues when they finish work for some food - they're coming to my neighbourhood so I don't need to waddle off too far. Our babies will come when they are ready, just seems that our wombs are very comfortable!!

cattaxi · 21/10/2019 14:21

How is everyone today? I hope all the new babies are settled and that the expectant mums are comfortable!
We had lots of visitors yesterday. It was lovely, but exhausting. So I’ve only just got out of bed! Had a lovely morning having loads of skin to skin with ds, feeding on demand and sleeping when he slept. Very much needed. Just waiting for the midwife now. I’m hoping she comes before 3 so I can walk with the baby to get ds1 from school.

Hope it’s going on today @Positivity86!

@secretlyhermione have you got any clary sage? My friend swears it ramped up her contractions from the cramping stage to full on labour.

Congratulations @homley.

All the best to those waiting - it really is the last lap now.

HJWT · 21/10/2019 18:52

Really hope everyone over due has their baby soon! 🥰

@cattaxi hope midwife came early enough for you!

I rang midwife today after still not hearing anything from them! They sent someone out first thing I think she might of been a MCA but she did the blood spot test and weighed DS! He is almost back to birth weight, I can't believe he is a week old today! I feel so emotional 😥

shouldntbeonhereagain · 21/10/2019 18:56

Congratulations everyone! The baby photos are keeping me going. Now 40.3 and starting to feel as though I will NEVER have this baby. I know that 42 weeks is still not technically overdue, but argh!!! I should know better as others were 42 weeks, 40 plus 5 and 40 plus 8! Sending sympathy to all those waiting esp past 40 weeks.. What’s everyone’s thoughts on sweeps? Worth while?

Aurora79 · 21/10/2019 19:19

Can I join the thread. Been watching from afar but now finally joined MN! So lovely seeing all the baby pics coming through!

39+1 today and playing the waiting game, although anticipating going overdue. Got a sweep booked for next week but trying everything to get her to come before then! Hoping she doesn’t hang on so long she becomes a November baby, got to go back to work after 10 months so want to maximise mat leave!!
