@MrsNotNice I have just seen my midwife for discharge and she said baby being fussy feeding in evening is very common as it's a build up of the gas accumulated through all the feeding in the day. Not much can be done really unless you wind them vigilantly every feed I guess.
Both my breastfed babies have been gassy and needed winding. We are going for tongue tie assessment / cut tomorrow so I'll let you know if it improves the feeding if he has it done x

HJWT · 28/10/2019 21:14

@MrsNotNice why cant you use infacol ? Iv noticed baby needs winding more now as my supply is to much and he gas to gulp it down and chokes sometimes so he is taking air in! I do the circle and back and forth motions holding him upright !

@YorkshireIndie hope all is going smooth!

@gkeal3 have you tried your pram yet? I seem to have got the nack of the fold and find it quite easy! Although the basket doesn't seem as large as my iCandy did 🥴

@HJWT we took it out briefly yesterday but only the frame with the car seat attached. I have had it sat in the room set up for months but didnt think to try and fold it so I was at the car googling how to fold it but now I know it's easy. I love it, really easy to push is it. Love the big front wheels x

HJWT · 30/10/2019 05:15

@gkeal3 yeah I can push it with one hand with DD on the board and she is not light! 😄

@YorkshireIndie hope you have a baby and everything went ok 🥰

@HJWT onto day three of induction. Not impressed because they said that what they did on day one does not work most of the time so feel like we have wasted a day. Got the most painful stretch and sweep from a doctor. Going to see what happens today

Anyone else with any baby news?

Maryrobinson81 · 30/10/2019 08:13

@YorkshireIndie you must be proper fed up now. Are you allowed out to have a change of scenery? Hope something starts happening soon for you. Flowers

Aurora79 · 30/10/2019 08:16

I’ve been following this thread for a while but not really posting. Now 40+3 and baby is running out of time to make an appearance and be an October baby! So frustrated because I can’t take a whole year of mat leave so every day she stays in feels like a wasted day if that makes sense- I want to maximise my time off with her rather than pottering about the house!

Been up with cramping In the night but not sure if it’s early or false labour. I’m in with the midwife for a sweep later so hopefully she’ll be able to give me more of a clue what’s going on down there and help get things moving!

Good luck @YorkshireIndie must be so frustrating waiting for the induction to work!

YorkshireIndie · 30/10/2019 09:03

@Maryrobinson81 I am not really allowed off hospital grounds but I felt like being a rebel yesterday and we went and got DH some food

@Aurora79 I know what you mean about the maternity leave. I thought having mine start the day before I was due was cutting it close but baby obviously has different ideas...

Yep pretty fed up - keep on wondering if this baby is going to be a Halloween or a November baby

HJWT · 30/10/2019 20:04

@YorkshireIndie really hope something has started by now for you! My hospital don't do pessary anymore as they have such a low success rate they only do gel ! Xx

Baby boy born at 21:02 and weighs 9lb 4oz! I was moved to the labour ward where my waters where broken and put on the drip (and just because I am slightly impressed with myself only had pethidine and heat patches!! )

Love him already

I didn't realise that most have an epidural until it was pointed out...

AngeloMysterioso · 31/10/2019 06:31

Congratulations @YorkshireIndie!! That’s a big baby!

Maryrobinson81 · 31/10/2019 08:17

Many congratulations @YorkshireIndie, he is a gorgeous boy

Aurora79 · 31/10/2019 08:44

@YorkshireIndie congratulations, what a beautiful boy!

I’m quickly running out of time to have an October baby- now 40+4 and failed sweep yesterday so unless something changes quickly she’ll be a November one!

YorkshireIndie · 31/10/2019 10:42

Thank you @AngeloMysterioso, @Maryrobinson81 and @Aurora79

@Aurora79 you still have to tell us when baby arrives! November birthdays are still awesome as October birthdays!

AngeloMysterioso · 31/10/2019 10:58

@Aurora79 I’m 41 weeks today... just had a sweep, but I’ve given up hope of an October baby. I fully expect labour to start just before the RWC final kick off on Saturday which would be most inconvenient...

HJWT · 31/10/2019 12:34

@YorkshireIndie congratulations 🥰 he is gorgeous !! My midwife said some women won't even start the hormone drip without an epidural being in first... I didn't think it was to bad with gas & air but it was only put up to 12ML when I was induced so I cant really comment 😅

Aurora79 · 31/10/2019 12:53

@AngeloMysterioso fingers crossed your sweep works! I think that bubba is planning the same with the Rugby, or else she's hiding in there because it's far too noisy out here with all the half term chaos!! At this rate they'll be bonfire night babies rather than Halloween babies.

secretlyhermione · 31/10/2019 13:06

Congrats @YorkshireIndie! Lots of little boys this year :) can't believe mine is a week old today! Time really does fly. Hope everyone is enjoying the newborn snuggles and those who are still waiting get to meet their baby soon!

userabcname · 31/10/2019 13:26

Congratulations @YorkshireIndie - he is beautiful!

HJWT · 01/11/2019 18:51

How is everyone getting on that is still pregnant?

OP posts:
Aurora79 · 01/11/2019 18:58

Still pregnant and getting more and more grumpy @HJWT! Had a second more successful attempt at a sweep this afternoon so fingers crossed things get going this weekend! Hoping to join you all over in the postnatal thread soon!! Least I know the end is in sight and I’ll be induced this time next week if she hasn’t appeared by then!

How are all the others who are still waiting getting on?

AngeloMysterioso · 01/11/2019 20:08

Still

Fucking

Pregnant.

Lost my mucus plug last night but otherwise, nothing to report. At this point I’m resigned to getting to 42 weeks.

NMCB · 01/11/2019 20:18

@AngeloMysterioso took the words right out of my mouth!

40+4 and waiting.

Had my bloody show yesterday and this morning and starting to feel period pains so am hopeful labour will be imminent.

Got sweep booked for Monday so praying she comes before - is this your first baby?

X

Aurora79 · 01/11/2019 20:32

@NMCB and @AngeloMysterioso sounds like things are moving forward for you both!
And rather selfishly glad some others are as frustrated as me. So over being pregnant now! I want wine and stinky cheese and pate and to go for a run and to be able to go 20 mins without needing a wee! Here’s hoping for some weekend babies!!!
