Any advice on regulating contractions, I've had them since 1am constantly every 5 minutes lasting a minute until the past 2 hour which they've gradually gone to every half an hour, so exhausted of this goes on for days :(

Figuringitout · 25/10/2019 13:28

Congratulations and welcome to all of the gorgeous newborns. Feel free to pop over to the postnatal chat...

Thank you!

AngeloMysterioso · 25/10/2019 18:14

At the risk of sounding childish, between here, Facebook and my NCT group I’m getting fed up of reading everyone’s baby announcements now, when’s it gonna be my turn dammit??! I want my baby!!

Also

Congratulations @Piemam Grin

YorkshireIndie · 25/10/2019 20:42

I know what you mean. Helpful text from MIL saying that the fruit will drop when it is ripe - she had my DH early so never had the constant baby here?

@AngeloMysterioso @YorkshireIndie without trying to piss you of! Try and enjoy your last couple of days pregnant. Before you know it baby will be here & will be a week old and you will be missing all the little kicks 😍 xx

Congrats to new babies.
It won't be long for those still waiting. It will be worth all the pains and frustration and the waiting will become a distant memory.
You might even miss being pregnant and the possibility of napping!! I miss naps.

HJWT · 26/10/2019 07:44

@Frizzy1986 I could definitely take a nap if it was possible 😁😂

Well I’m having a shit morning and it’s not even 9 a.m...

Woke up to the news that DH’s friend’s wife- the one who posted the smug #newfamilyhome #nowIcanrelax pic on Instagram the day after DH and I moved in with his parents- had their baby last night. She’s not even due til Monday.

I feel bad but I’m not happy for them. I’m just not. I’m fucking sick of seeing everything go right for those two when all we’ve had is struggles. I’ve spent the last hour crying.

YorkshireIndie · 26/10/2019 12:29

I know @HJWT - it is just becoming harder the more over I go. Induction booked for Monday which is not helping matters and there is some family dramas playing out

Don't know if I am just pregnant tired or anaemic tired or both today

AngeloMysterioso · 26/10/2019 23:08

Nothing little about them... I’ve had hands and elbows and feet shoving at my sides for quite some time now...

gkeal3 · 27/10/2019 00:00

Just an update....I did it! 6 days over I had a boy 💙 waters went Friday morning at 10.30am. Blood loss and reduced movements but no contractions so I went to be seen at 1.30pm. They induced me by drip at 6pm and by 11pm he was here. 2 hour established labour, gas & air only. Baby boy 7lb3. Home by 5am in time for his big bro & big sis to wake up to their new baby 💙 today I've been in that total bliss newborn bubble

YorkshireIndie · 27/10/2019 00:10

Congratulations @gkeal3!!!

gkeal3 · 27/10/2019 01:26

Thank you @YorkshireIndie hope you're well. The waiting is the worst bit. I've never been late until this baby. It was agonising! All the best with the rest of your pregnancy and the arrival of your baby xx

HJWT · 27/10/2019 05:45

@AngeloMysterioso haha sorry! Very true 😫 Every time DS has hiccups though I do miss feeling them in my belly 🥰

@gkeal3 congratulations 💙 so many little boys this year, it makes me wonder if there will be any girls when DS goes to school 😂 xx

Baby boy born this morning at 5am. Thankful the waiting is over! 8lb 3 and fast labour (about 45 mins from arriving at hospital to birth) can’t think of a name!

Maryrobinson81 · 27/10/2019 10:18

Congratulations @gkeal3 and @shouldntbeonhereagain
So pleased you aren’t waiting anymore!
I hope everyone is ok! I’m having major panics about tomorrow mornings school run! How am I going to get everyone ready and out the door! I’ve also very nipples which I haven’t had before when breastfeeding the other children. I’ve tried all sorts of positions and am really careful about latch so I don’t know what’s causing the pain. I get a deep latch and she seems to spit it forward again. It’s quite uncomfortable throughout each feed. Which are pretty much all day and night continuous feeds at the moment as I’m only on day 4. Seeing midwife tomorrow anyway so will get them to have a look l.

MrsNotNice · 27/10/2019 18:02

Hi ladies, it’s been two weeks now and can’t believe how time flies. I feel less anxious about everything.

However one issue !
Anyone’s baby ridiculously gassy ? Like all my baby does is cry for feeds and then screech in obvious pain from gas. Midwife told me breastfed babies don’t need burping but I don’t think she is right as with my first he needed it and with my baby girl she struggles if I don’t burp her. But still with all that she spends a lot of time between feeds instead of sleeping being uncomfortable about gas.

I was advised not to use infacol. I’m wondering what it could be?

gkeal3 · 28/10/2019 02:08

Not sure if anyone else is awake too, I'm on my second night shift with my baby boy. He's been an absolute dream. So content and feeding well. The first night was long, I didn't even attempt sleep until 4am then this morning realised the clocks had gone back too so I'd done an extra hour on baby watch lol

Today's been great, we had our first hour out of the house with all 3 small children, we just popped out for food supplies and then we had some visitors this afternoon.

Only thing I'm struggling with is the after pains, they are so sore. I know they do get worse with each baby so they may just be more intense as he's my fourth. Is anyone else finding them bad.

I hope there's not many mummies still waiting for their babies. I know that agonising wait so well and I hope you are all enjoying your lovely newborns. I'm trying to treasure every second atm as I know how fast they grow 🥰

YorkshireIndie · 28/10/2019 07:07

Morning, it is nice to read about newborn snuggles even with the after birth pains. It is the day of my induction and I was up early as I could not sleep. Got to ring the hospital in a bit. House is clean though

gkeal3 · 28/10/2019 08:21

@YorkshireIndie wow today's the day. Good luck xxx

Piemam · 28/10/2019 11:18

Good luck everyone waiting!
Thanks for kind msgs anyone I missed out- busy with baby.

Maryrobinson81 · 28/10/2019 11:26

Good luck today @YorkshireIndie!

YorkshireIndie · 28/10/2019 13:21

Thank you. Just had the pessary put in. Thankfully I am in my own room although I can not leave the hospital...
Regretting my choice of reading material

AngeloMysterioso · 28/10/2019 13:46

Best of luck @YorkshireIndie!
