Hi all! I've tried posting this twice but it never works!
My (not so) little girl was born at 6.45 am on Monday morning at home in the pool! In the end after all the frustrating stopping and starting my body must have been ready and she was born in around 3 hours! 9lb 9oz but no stitches, just a graze and no time for any drugs 😂
My little boy slept through it all and woke up to a baby sister. We are all just trying to adjust to our new normal now.
Hoping all you mamas waiting are feeling ok, I know it's hard but hopefully your body will be ready and babies will be here soon!
Hope all the post partum mum's are feeling okay too.

@Maryrobinson81 how did the sweep go? Had my third sweep this morning and no change. Got an acupuncture appointment booked for tomorrow

@YorkshireIndie another good sweep, still 3cm (obviously can’t really be more than this as that would mean I’m in labour!) cervix very soft and membranes bulging. If nothing happens I’m going on Saturday for monitoring at the day unit and to decide what to do. I will be 40+12 then. One really positive thing was that midwife said they will easily be able to break my waters and I can still then use the birth centre. So I feel a whole load better about that now!

@kmammamalto what a lovely birth and yay for no tears.
My body clearly doesn't stretch as well as everyone else.
Good that you managed to get the pool filled as I hear they take ages.

@Maryrobinson81 hope it goes well tomorrow.. @kmammamalto congratulations- to you. Have to say am so jealous of all these babies! 40 plus 5 today and pretty disheartened tbh. Midwife was very nice but
casually mentioned she thought the baby was back to back which totally threw me! Now frightened not only of being induced
due to being overdue but also if a painful
slow back to back birth - happy days. Sending peaceful delivery vibes to all those still waiting. My only confirms is this is
absolutely the last time I am doing this !

I can’t believe it she’s finally here! I didn’t think I was in labour until 6.30this evening and she was born at 7.50pm, so only just made it on time and was able to jump straight into the pool to push her out. We have called her Pearl elizabeth.

Congratulations @Maryrobinson81. My sweep did the trick and I went into labour at 1am the next day. After a very long labour of 23 hours (!!!) our baby boy Alessandro was born just after midnight tonight. Absolutely in love!

Ohh double hooray!!! @maryrobinson and @secretlyhermione!! Huge congratulations on your amazing new little people! Hope you're all doing well.
I'm sorry I'm terrible at tagging people in these! Baby brain! But thank you all for the kind words. It's all a bit surreal now until I see the deflated birthpool outside in the rain 🤣

Congrats @secretlyhermione you must be so tired after such a long labour! I really hope everyone else isn’t waiting too long.

@shouldntbeonhereagain I’m sure most back to back babies can turn during actual labour especially if you can be on all 4s.

@shouldntbeonhereagain I know how you feel! Just been to see an acupuncturist to see if that does anything.

At my last midwife app she said baby was back to back and Actually still was during labour but once my waters broke I could feel her turn so.please don't worry!

I'm also still waiting 40+6 midwife tomorrow for a second sweep, fingers crossed it works this time

Don't know what is worse the 'is the baby there' phone calls/messages or the phone calls/messages going I am not going to ask but I want you to tell me if there is any news. Just had my MIL on the phone doing the latter. She got the short no news and I will get your son to contact you

Thank you all! Labour was tough but the prize at the end is so worth it!
