I say this all the time but this thread moves so fast!

@ELW85 - glad your results were what you wanted and congratulations on having a boy! How exciting!

@MrsEG - Thanks for the info on birthing balls - will probably get one and try and start bouncing on it! Glad your pains have gone now, my bump is still not as impressive as yours, it is bigger in the evening but have been told a baby is hiding at the back so I’m hoping in a few weeks I will look pregnant and not just chubby!

@BostonFern - did you get your ball out in the end? It’s supposed to help with getting the babies in position so I’m wanting to start it around 25 weeks whenever I am home - every little helps!

@purplefig - clearly everyone is getting birthing balls! I’m pretty sure we won’t find out - we will decorate the nursery in neutral colours, warm greys I think. I like the idea of having my husband tell me what gender they are!

@Tropicana1 - I’m going to try pregnancy yoga on YouTube - I’m struggling to find any classes with times which suit me right now! Glad your finding it useful!

@MrsR16 - I’m still rather tired but all my bloods come back fine and midwife just thinks it’s because I’m carrying two! I just have this image of us all bouncing on our birthing balls in the evenings 😂

@stormtrooperjulian - WOW! Little Dexter is a little poppet! Congratulations! I’m sorry labour and birth didn’t go as planned, but I hope your recovering well and taking it easy and just bonding with little Dexter!

@MrsC87 - Congratulations On Charlie! Hope your really enjoying it all with him!

@thumper59 - wow your last few weeks will whizz by! Not long till you meet your little one!

What’s everyone’s plans this weekend?

thumper59 · 27/09/2019 16:54

@MrsR16 aw Thankyou, I think I've posted the dress I'm wearing before it's a pink floral one, only my bump is much bigger this time 😂 aw I can only bake rocky road! Hope I can expand my baking skills when I'm on leave

@ELW85 congratulations another boy!! 💙💙 I have a few pregnant friends at the min and we are all having boys!

MrsEG · 27/09/2019 17:24

@ELW85 Ahh I guessed boy!! Congrats welcome to the club! Ha it’s the opposite in our house - I’ll be demolishing brownies in one corner, DH has his chips and crisps in the other!

@MrsR16 Belt is comfier than I thought it would be and so supportive! It took the pressure off my pelvis right away. Absolute ball ache when you need a wee though haha!

@stormtrooperjulian So pleased you’re getting discharged soon, sounds like you’ve had an ordeal! As you say, what matters is everyone is healthy :) congratulations again!

MrsH497 · 27/09/2019 17:25

@ELW85 I'm doing ok thank you lovely think I'm 6+5 ish now so I'm over another milestone as I lost baby last time at this point. Had nausea yesterday morning but felt good today other than my usual tired!
On our way to Devon to see the in laws!

MrsEG · 27/09/2019 17:27

@PippaPug Missed a whole other page of posts hah! Mine are both right at the front and lying on top of each other! Although I’ve definitely grown a LOT the last 2-3 weeks so your growth spurt could be coming!!

Also our pram arrived today and of course DH had to build it immediately! Can not believe there will be two babies lying in here in a couple of months!

Off to IKEA tonight (again!) for a wardrobe now we’ve done all our reorganising. Going to see Fleabag, NT live at the cinema tomorrow night which I can’t wait for. Then Baby Show on Sunday! Happy weekends all!

@LokiCat - I quite fancy making a white chocolate and raspberry cake but it’ll probably not end up being too complicated if I bother myself! How about you?
Totally get where you’re coming from about time being simultaneously fast and slow 😂
Congratulations on the 10 weeks - that’s flown over!
I'm great thanks; nausea has gone but the tiredness is still a thing but on a much lower level. Boobs are sore but not as much; basically like the 1st tri symptoms have been muted I think?

@MrsH497 - I’m so pleased for you that you’re past where you were the first time; I’m sure it’s a huge weight off your mind 😊 Here’s to a relaxing and wonderful weekend in Devon!

@PippaPug @thumper59 thank you!! I feel like everyone is having boys too! I think I read somewhere it’s harder to conceive a girl? 🤔

@MrsEG - you did say boy!! We were going through some names earlier; so exciting! How are you feeling? The pram looks great!

BostonFern · 28/09/2019 07:38

Morning ladies!

@MrsC87 Charlie is adorable!

Thanks @MrsEG. Your bump is growing beautifully! How exciting to have the pram too! Enjoy the cinema tonight, I think we are going to try to see The Goldfinch today.

@ELW85 so pleased for you! Both on the results and it being a little boy 💙

@Fivebyfive2 bedside cot assembly did not go well! It's going back as we aren't happy with it. Ordered a snuzpod instead!

@thumper59 I'm finding my 'slowness' really frustrating, I think a snail could overtake me at times! Not long left for you now, very exciting!

@LokiCat you're nearly into the second trimester promised land of less tiredness and nausea!

@PippaPug we did, but didn't have the right attachment for the bicycle pump and DP insisted on blowing it up himself-I thought he might pass out 😂 It needs a bit more air in it I think, but I found it really comfy to sit on and lean over the arm of the sofa.

@MrsH497 enjoy Devon!

ELW85 · 28/09/2019 08:06

Morning all!

Found myself awake at 3.30am for some odd reason but a day off chilling with DH and then date night will remedy any grogginess I’m sure!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend 😊

@BostonFern - thank you so much! We’re so happy. If you don’t mind me asking, which crib are you sending back? We’re considering the Chico Magic at the moment.

MrsEG · 28/09/2019 08:10

@ELW85 Choosing names is so much fun! We let the dog have a look at the pram last night, he sniffed it once and walked off, totally disinterested!! I suppose that’s a better reaction than him jumping all over it! I’m okay - felt quite nauseous yesterday but I think it could have been a touch of heartburn. The joys!

@BostonFern Ooh you’ll have to let me know what The Goldfinch is like, I’ve heard mixed reviews!

I felt some more ‘proper’ movement last night in the car - it’s still so light but it felt like two bubbles popping! It was on the left too; I feel most tickles on the right so think twin 2 is finally getting active ha! It’s such a weird but totally wonderful feeling!

OP posts:
BostonFern · 28/09/2019 09:50

@ELW85 of course I don't mind, it's the Venture Hush-had great reviews but ours had a couple of faults when we put it together last night. A real shame, but we just weren't happy with it.
Enjoy your date night!

@MrsEG will let you know!

Fivebyfive2 · 28/09/2019 10:21

@Bostonfern, we looked at that one and a Tutti from Mothercare but we're worried neither would fit quite right! We have just took the plunge and ordered the snuzpod3. I think amazon are spying on me... They had it for one price, then I looked at Jon Lewis, where it was a bit cheaper. This morning, amazon ad pops up for the same crib, now the same price as Jon Lewis?! So we used some amazon vouchers to get the price down a bit more and it should be coming tomorrow 😀

@MrsEG, I'd say disinterest is definitely better than him trying to climb on it! We're hoping our cat is indifferent to all the baby stuff, but I do have images of him trying to sleep in the moses basket 😳😂

Tropicana1 · 28/09/2019 10:31

@stormtrooperjulian congratulations!! So pleased for you and he's so handsome 😍

@Fivebyfive2 hey pregnancy twin! I agree Helena definitely shouldn't have gone, I felt like Prue just didn't get her or like her personality at all and so massively had it in for her. Also the technicals have been so obscure.
I'm thinking of either the snuzpod or the chicco next 2 me, did you choose the snuzpod for any better reasons? I feel like I have NO clue about baby things 😂

@MrsEG is the bump belt good for all pregnancies or specifically twin bumps? What is it good for / benefits?

Ladies I'm really struggling staying off my back when I sleep even with my pregnancy pillow. I constantly wake up in the night on my back and it's really bothering me because I'm trying so hard to side sleep. Any tips?

@MrsC87 glad you're doing well, what a handsome little chap 😍

@ELW85 lovely news 😊💙

@PippaPug I was lucky to find a local yoga studio that does a pregnancy class at 7pm otherwise I'd never make the NCT yoga one after work which is at 5.45!

MrsEG · 28/09/2019 10:42

@Fivebyfive2 My friends cat slept in her downstairs Moses basket more often than her daughter did!! Her daughter never took to it and always slept in her pram. The cat bloody loved it haha! That’s so good targeted advertising from Amazon! Bet you can’t wait for it to arrive. So much fun building/organising stuff!

@Tropicana1 Good for any pregnancy! Relieves pressure, they recommended it to me early mainly due to how quickly my bump is growing - I’ve only really started wearing it this week when I know I’ll be moving around/on my feet a lot. Made a world of difference around IKEA last night!
I always wake on my back too; I am a side sleeper as well but I must be rolling about in my sleep. I think as long as you start on your side and just roll back when you wake up you don’t need to worry too much. I have heard of women putting a tennis ball in between their back and pillow so if they roll on to it it wakes them up! Seems excessive though haha! For the last few weeks of her pregnancy my sister actually slept in a chair as she always woke on her back a few times in the night, and as her bump was then so heavy it would be really uncomfortable. So she propped loads of pillows on an armchair and slept there!

Fivebyfive2 · 28/09/2019 10:45

@Tropicana1, hey you! We went for the snuzpod mostly for size but we also like that it can rock and has a reflux tilt which is supposed to be really helpful! For side sleeping, this may sound odd but I find it best to have 2 pillows slightly 'up' so I'm sleeping just slightly at an up angle, I found I hardly fidget at all, even less than when I was wrapped in my pregnancy pillow. Xxxx

Lemonysherbet · 28/09/2019 12:41

Hey ladies,

Thought the thread had gone quiet, now I know why 😂 still on holiday and (hooooray) still pregnant! Made it past the day of my early MC last month and starting to relax a little.

Hope everyone is doing well. Going to read through the thread by the pool (last day 😟, but so lovely and relaxing )

MrsH497 · 28/09/2019 15:25

@Lemonysherbet yay!! Enjoy the last day of your holiday!

Fivebyfive2 · 28/09/2019 16:44

Hi ladies! Back at my mums, chilling out after a day around Brum. Got some new pj's (rock and roll!) and some hotel chocolate 🍫😋

How's everyone's Saturday? Anyone watching Strictly tonight?

@Bostonfern @Tropicana1, when we got the snuzpod off amazon, it gave us the option to get a mattress protector and some fitted sheets that are meant to be for it... But a lot of reviews said they didn't fit well so we gave that a miss and are going to shop around. Just wondering if you had any tips for bedding? Xxx

MrsR16 · 28/09/2019 18:00

@Fivebyfive2 that sounds a great day! Definitely tuning into strictly - DH and I love it! 😊

Anny27 · 28/09/2019 18:12

Hey ladies hoping i can join. Was only on the ttc for 4 months so i recognise some of the names but not all :) but nice to keep with everyone

I am pretty sure me and @lemonysherbet are the same - 5 weeks tomorrow.

Hoping all your pregnancies are going well :D xx

Tropicana1 · 28/09/2019 18:31

@Fivebyfive2 yea I saw the rocking feature and thought it looked really good! This might sound odd but what are your plans for in the lounge? I'm debating whether to get a snuz pod/next to me for the bedroom and then a Moses basket for downstairs so I can put the baby down, or whether to bring whatever I have upstairs down everyday. Or is there a third solution I'm not even considering? 😂 (apart from holding them 24/7)

@MrsEG ah that sounds really interesting I might give one a go if / when I start to get pelvic or hip pains. Also chair sleeping does not sound fun! Glad to hear it's not just me that wakes on my back through the night though, it was starting to worry me and I keep forgetting to talk to the midwife about it because baby brain 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Anny27 Welcome and congratulations 😊

BostonFern · 28/09/2019 19:29

@Fivebyfive2 we were hoping ours would arrive today, from John Lewis, but it's been delayed-hopefully tomorrow. DP put the Ikea cot up, pleased with that. We've just attempted to a cordless blind up too, but can't get it to roll itself back up properly. DP has called it a day and will try again tomorrow, think we are both tired now (even though I only really 'Project managed' 😂)!
I haven't bought any bedding for the snuzpod yet, like you I wasn't impressed by snuzpods own mattress protector, seems odd that it doesn't secure down the sides like a normal fitted sheet. I might go look at mothercare in Tamworth and see what they've used as I'm sure I saw they had a snuzpod last time I was in there.

@Tropicana1 my SIL gave me the dream genie, the pillow at the back helps a bit but I find I wake up on my back at least once a night-they say as long as you turn back on your side not to worry.

Hi @Lemonysherbet I hope you enjoyed your pool day! Glad to hear you're keeping well.

Welcome and congratulations @Anny27 👋🏻

@MrsEG we really enjoyed The Goldfinch, DP loved it. It's not a fast paced film, but I didn't find myself looking at the time or wondering how long was left. Even better was there were only two other people in the cinema, and it was a cinema with sofas - extra comfy when pregnant!

DP has the football on at the minute, but we have a takeaway coming and I think we're going to finish watching Handmaid's Tale, then watch a film. Going to catch up on Strictly on iplayer tomorrow I think.

BostonFern · 28/09/2019 19:33

Fivebyfive2 · 28/09/2019 20:40

@Bostonfern, thanks for the links, will check them out!! Sounds like you've been really productive 😀 We have a week off in a couple of weeks so will probably have a good go at setting stuff up then xxx

@Tropicana1, we got a moses basket and stand for the living room, from Aldi for £30! I didn't fancy moving something up and down alllllll the time!! Xxx

cupcakesandglitter · 28/09/2019 21:44

Hi ladies 😊 I went to the baby show earlier and MIL kindly ordered our pushchair!! Just come back from a Nando’s because I was craving it when I woke up 🤤 I can't believe I've made it out of the house properly today 😭 my bump has started to come out a little too! Still looking six months pregnant after I've eaten but still 😂

@Fivebyfive2 we went for a Snuzpod too! (Went for the 2) I wish I bought the aldi Moses basket, I naively thought I wouldn't really need anything downstairs but the more I think about it the more I think we'll need one! X

@BostonFern would you mind letting me know how you get on? Struggling to find any that "fit" properly just going from measurements! How's the cot looking? X

@MrsEG your bump is looking so cute 😭 have fun tomorrow - we weren't there for too long but managed to get quite a few of the free Mam bottles 😂 x

cupcakesandglitter · 28/09/2019 21:55

Ooh also has anyone had the fortunate joy of more body hair? I seem to be spouting a lot more AND a lot faster too 😭 I've not been blessed with the glow yet either, still looking like an acne ridden teenager 😭
