@Anny27 100% get a badge and use it! You are pregnant even if you don't have a bump and you're probably dealing with some pretty grim symptoms right now, so it's there for you to make the most of.
@MrsEG fab bump as ever! I'm not sure what you think, but I feel like you popped quite early on with the twins but I don't feel like it's grown astronomically? Like @ELW85 said, I think you look pretty petite considering you've got two in there! FWIW, I'm constantly googling bump pics of the week I'm at and I'd say there are plenty of comparative singleton pics for early 20s weeks. Speaking of which, I've got to the point where my normal tops definitely reveal the bump now, long live that infamous new look haul
. Fab news you met another pregnant twin mum to be! I have a yoga mat at home and it's an absolute god send for when my back is playing up. I hop on the mat and either put a quick 10 min pregnancy yoga you tube video on (I'm really enjoying this one atm: or just do the stretches I remember from class. Always leave it feeling better.
@MrsH497 Don't be so hard on yourself. It's far better to take time off and recoup properly, then when you do go into work you'll actually be useful! Take the time you need to feel better.
@MrsR16 yeah that makes sense - is he or she all booked in now for plastering? Fab bump!
@ELW85 I'd say mine are more surface level too - certainly no rolling over or anything like that. More like taps from the inside. Book club was great - I hadn't been for a few months because I'd been away / feeling rough with nausea so it was good to get back into it. We read 'The Confessions of Frannie Langton' - most people enjoyed it, but I didn't. I thought the writing over the top (the author ruddy loves a simile) and the plot unbelievable. I don't particularly enjoy reading novels with graphic scenes of violence though, so I don't think it was ever going to be one for me. How are you finding American Gods? We read a Neil Gaiman a few months ago, also not for me (I am a right fuss pot if you can't tell).
@stormtrooperjulian HI HI HI!!How are you? How's motherhood treating you?!
@Fivebyfive2 how great to finally have a date in place! And that sounds like a fun weekend you've got planned. We're off to a wedding.
@Tropicana1 Gorgeous bump - you don't look at all frumpy! Glad you've decided to have a chat with her, I honestly think you'll feel so much better when you do.
Happy Thursday one and all! I'm off tomorrow as we're travelling up country for a wedding. Not looking forward to the 7-hour car journey (my back is already wincing at the thought!) but I am looking forward to the wedding.
On the topic of suffering with body image, I totally get it. I spent my teenage years and a large chunk of my 20s struggling with a really poor body image (and all the crap that goes with it). Something that changed my life was reading 'The Beauty Myth' by Naomi Wolf. I don't mean to sound remotely preachy (and I still have my days) but I just thought it was worth mentioning here, as it resonated so much with me and to a large extent (along with other things, like learning about intuitive eating) has totally changed my relationship with my body. Ok, I'll stop gushing. Have a fab day all! xx
