@MrsEG - I had some Romika winter boots which were warm and waterproof, you can get them on amazon - I had lace up ones, but I’m sure they do slip on ones too ☺️

Hi all! Happy Friday 😊 so glad the weekend is here!
Had a wfh day today; cleaned the house a bit and made a mango cheesecake to take to my ILs tomorrow for lunch  it's taking everything in me not to have a slice tonight 😂 have added a photo - just before I put it in the fridge to set.

@ELW85 awww how lovely of your DH! He sounds absolutely brilliant! Hope you have a well deserved relaxing weekend.
The Capture was okay, I was hoping for a more exciting reveal, tbh. I think next week is the final episode.

@purplefig the realignment wasn't named well... it was a facial with scalp and shoulder massage and lower leg and foot massage. Was so good though.
@MrsEG let me know how your boot hunt goes, I was just saying to my mum I need something easier than uggs to slip my feet into soon!

I'm 14 weeks tomorrow!! Feels like it's flown by but in reality I've been counting down every day 😭 DH is out tomorrow evening and I want to just keep him with me 24/7, feeling super connected 😭🥰

It's about 3 hours past my usual bedtime and I'm on episode 4 of the capture. I'm blaming you lot 😂

@cupcakesandglitter - oh no! The only filter I’ve used is boy/girl so I’m not sure, sorry! Congratulations on 14 weeks though, that is flying over!

I’m 16 weeks today and definitely have some sort of permanent bump that gets bigger after food 😂 but the bump is a permanent feature though which is reassuring!

Going to treat ourselves to a new bedroom candle today. Our White Company one is done but to be honest, I don’t think the scent is as strong as some of the others we’ve had. Any recommendations?

@ELW85 yeah I’m after more of an Ugg-style but in the sense I need to be able to get them on and off without bending down at all! So not even ones that I pull on are being considered haha! How I envy summer preggos who could just wear flip flops! Candle sounds lovely - I can’t recommend anything as we don’t really have candles in the house ever since the dog ate one 🙈

@LokiCat That cheesecake looks amazing! Yeah - the main reason for all the organising and decorating is because we’ve had to move the nursery to a bigger room for two! I can’t wait to get started :)

I have an appt at John Lewis this morning for a car seat fit; we popped in last night as DH is obsessed with the Cybex Z even though I think they’re too expensive. Anyway apparently his folks have said they’d buy them so he took me along to sell them to me! They are lovely though. So they’re going to check the fit in my car today. It will feel so weird seeing a car seat in my car!!

I am also getting a little worried i may have pelvic girdle pain :( I’ve been having some aches and pains for a while but the past few days I wake up every day with pain in my groin, and in to my upper thighs. Only way I can describe it is like when you’ve done loads of heavy squats and get DOMS (but I’ve done bugger all haha). I’m gonna mention it to the midwife this week, but it’s bumming me out a bit.

@MrsEG, hope the car seat fitting goes well! I get a similar sort of pain some mornings and if I sit for ages, I find it gets a bit better if I walk around a little, it's like the top of leg/lower back region? Xx

Dh has asked if I'd be OK with him going to see his friend in London the weekend of 7th Dec, I'm due 9th Jan. I said OK just keep your phone on and stay relatively sober incase you need to rush back (unlikely but you never know!) I wasn't too bothered tbh, I'll go to my mums, have a friend over or whatever. He doesn't see his friend very often and probably will so less for a bit once Homer pops out! But I mentioned it at work and a couple acted like I was some doormat, letting him go backpacking in the jungle for a month 2 days before due date or something?! What do you think ladies??

It's Saturday and we have a week off, soooo excited!! 😀

@Fivebyfive2 Not at all, I'd be the same! We're very much of the thought that we need to get in as many friend catch ups, weekends away, etc now while we can before it all entails babysitters!! A month before due date like you say as long as I had someone around to help tie my shoes I'd be telling him to go too!
It's kinda everywhere - it's sore in my groin and things, then hurts kinda on both sides of my bump and up my back from lower back to bra line. I feel like a right old cripple. Going to yoga this morning and will see if that helps!

@ELW85 16 weeks?! 😮 that's gone so fast!! I know you're only a couple of weeks ahead of me but 16 weeks is mental!! I love White Company candles but tend to save them for "occasions" - ALDI is a range called Hotel, and there's a huge candle called Bloom - it's my favourite scent right now and super cheap!! Sainsbury's also do really nice ones, but if you're treating yourself there's always Jo Malone 😉 xx

@Fivebyfive2 I don't see the problem personally with a month beforehand!! People get super funny about stuff like that but I don't see the issue, and if you know your DH will be straight to you in case of an emergency then I don't see what the issue is 🤷🏻‍♀️ enjoy your week off! X

@Lemonysherbet haha I love a good binge watch, especially if DH is working lates. I've just found out that Channel 4 is putting all seasons of ER up on their website, so I'll most likely be binge watching that again!

I bought the Frosted Vanilla and Grenada candle and reed diffuser from them - it's one of my favourite scents! Looking at their Instagram page, apparently John Lewis stock them if you wanted to give them a sniff! We usually end up getting most of ours from TKmaxx/Home Sense.

@MrsEG thanks! Ahh that's going to be so exciting! I can't wait to start planning ours. I've been looking online for stickers/wallpaper to use as a mural wall. I hope the car seat fitting goes well. Sorry to hear you're in pain. I wish I could offer some advice, but I hope the midwife can give you some suggestions! Could you book yourself in for a massage, maybe (although I know that might only be a temporary fix)?

I'd be completely the same as you. It's a month before due date and I'm sure he'll be able to rush back if need be. You'll have your mum/a friend with you should anything happen, as well.

@ELW85, We don't really do candles, but my sil does and she gets some really nice ones from home bargains of all places! She has one on her desk at work (not lit, obviously!) and everyone thinks it's a proper Yankee candle!

Dh and I both have challenges today... I'm taking my 89 year old, mad as a hatter nan out with my parents and dh is handling 'the big food shop' on his own... Wish us luck 😂

For anyone in need of some maternity jeans, Mothercare have loads in the sale online but they're all pretty much out of stock BUT in store they come up at the sale prices and are buy one get one half price! Just bought two pairs for £20! Same goes for any tops/vests etc so could be worth a look for anyone that needs anything x

The cheesecake was a hit 😁 I unfortunately couldn't enjoy it too much cos the cream was making me feel nauseous.
DH went off to work, so I came home to a surprise package at the door. Turns out DH ordered me a pregnancy pillow 🥰 I'm so excited to use it even though I don't really need it yet

Evening all! Nan trip was a success - she was as challenging as ever but did say she enjoyed it and I even got a Christmas decoration whilst at Planters 🎄🙂 Dh didn't fare as well; he went out, realised he'd forgotten the list so came home and we ended up going together later in the afternoon to get all the food 😂

Just had Moroccan chicken stew and we're off to the cinema later to check out Joker, see what all the fuss is about! Quite excited as they've done out our Odeon and made all the screens ones that have recliner seats etc. Have got some chocolate orange segments with popping candy for the occasion 😋🍫 Will be recording Strictly for Tuesday night when dh is out!

@LokiCat they do take up more room 😂 I've got an under the bump and over the bump pair - my jeans are too tight and make me feel really uncomfortable with the button done, so the under the bump pair are perfect for right now because I don't have much of a bump but they give enough support, I'd definitely recommend them x

@purplefig in a next to me type crib in our room. It's not directly next to the bed though as I couldn't get out of bed in the early days with having a section. Plus we have a cat and he's over friendly with baby so didn't feel safe to have it next to the bed z

@MrsH497 - sorry you’re feeling rough. When I was floored with a cold I basically stayed in bed for a weekend and drank hot cordial! No medicinal solutions, but if you get an enhanced vitamin drink, it could help?
