Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@larrydavid i think its all personal choice, you can have them done from 6 weeks. I am personally having one 8-9 weeks so that theres more chance to see the heartbeat and more of baby :)

Notnowokay · 12/10/2019 14:34

You can have scans from 6weeks, but the lady who booked my one said, it is better to wait in case you ovulated later than normal. If you ovulated later then it becomes harder to date baby and a heart beat might not be seen.

I just had my one done, it was very reassuring normal bleeding (which is not continues and it is a stop start affair) and spotting I get during pregnancy. I saw the heart beat which was nice but I don't trust the date it gave. I'm 7 weeks and 4days according to it. But that means baby is dated five days before my last af started.

Anny27 · 13/10/2019 08:39

@notnowokay thata lovely you got to see the heartbeat and that you are furthet along than first thought! Means less time to wait until 12 weeks haha!

7 weeks today and still same symptoms as normal, no real nausea yet. Hows everyone else feeling?

MilsCookie · 13/10/2019 10:35

@Anny27 I’m now 5 weeks + 4 and I feel soooo much better than I did last week! My nausea has completely gone and I don’t have any real symptoms, apart from tiredness. Really hope the nausea doesn’t come back because that was just the worst! 🤢 how are you feeling?

Jemstar33 · 13/10/2019 13:17

@Larrydavid defo better to wait longer if you can for the scan. I’m just very impatient but I’d had a mc in July too so I wanted the reassurance. I went at 6+1 and could see heartbeats but not much else. I have another a week on Tuesday so hoping to see more.
Wow Japan is somewhere I’d love to go! It looks fab. Don’t worry about what you’ve eaten I’m sure it’ll be fine.

@Anny27 my scan dated me one day ahead which I think is right as I ovulate early so I’m 7 weeks today too! I’ve had extreme tiredness all weekend and a bunged up nose, feel like I’m getting a cold! Still no sickness here either 😃

Jemstar33 · 13/10/2019 13:19

@Notnowokay that’s strange isn’t it. But at least you got to see baby and all was well 😃

Seventytwoseventythree · 13/10/2019 13:39

Hi all, I’m now 5 weeks, has quite a bit of uncomfortable cramping and needing to pee a lot last week but now feel completely fine! Bit worried tbh as doesn’t seem right. Still have lots of thick CM (sorry) which is the only sign I have that I’m still pregnant. No bleeding or anything. Does anyone else have pretty much no symptoms (or did have at my stage and it was ok?)

Hawse · 13/10/2019 13:44

@Seventytwoseventythree - same here - no real symptoms at all, and I am 6+1. Likewise, I am a bit anxious to make sure I am actually still pregnant, but no blood is a great sign.

Still have a bit of cramping, but I think thats because I have had horrible gas and constipation. If anyone has any cures for this, please tell me!

I am going in for an early scan on Friday - cannot wait until then - just to make sure everything is A-OK.

Seventytwoseventythree · 13/10/2019 14:07

Hi @hawse thanks for the message, I also have an early scan booked at 7 weeks - just got to get through the next fortnight! I really hope you’re a goes well.

I think most of my cramps were gas too Blush I have IBS at the best of time. Have started eating 3-4 dried prunes per day which has sorted at our completely and is pregnancy-safe, maybe try that.

AmyMaria2 · 13/10/2019 14:45

@Hawse I'm 6+1 as well, when have you worked out your due date to be? I hope your scan goes well! No symptoms here other than thick cm & a little more tired x

Hawse · 13/10/2019 15:00

@AmyMaria2 - my due date should be June the 6th. Is that yours too? :-)

Glad we are all in the same boat with not too many symptoms!

Anny27 · 13/10/2019 15:53

@Jemstar33 ahh awesome! Its nice to have someone the same time along:)

I am relieved you day you have few symptoms as i know you have two healthy heartbeats:D only 12 days till my scan now and looking forward to it!

@milscookie ahh glad your nausea has gone away! It might have been the influx of hormones givinf your initial nausea

Having a relaxing Sunday:D hope everyone else is chilling too!

AmyMaria2 · 13/10/2019 17:35

@Hawse I had an early scan and they said 5th June, but it will be more accurate and confirmed at 12 week scan, so not sure 😂 x

@Anny27 had a chilled Sunday too, went to my nans for lunch and told her today she cried and made me cry lol x

LisaxMarie · 13/10/2019 19:06

Mine turned out to be a chemical pregnancy this time so I’m out again for this month ladies 😣 fingers crossed for next month x

AmyMaria2 · 13/10/2019 19:11

Sorry @LisaxMarie wishing you all the luck for next month xx

Ashley136 · 13/10/2019 20:12

Hi ladies, hope everyone’s ok 😊
Anyone’s else get baffled trying to work out how many weeks they ??
From my last period I’m 4 weeks and 3 days but I remember my previous pregnancy I worked out from my last period that I was 6 and a half weeks but had a scan and they said I was 4 and a half ?
Has anyone’s scans matched what you thought you were?
X x

MissisBee · 13/10/2019 20:29

4+5 here and not much in the way of symptoms - tender boobs, weeing lots and a bit windy 😳
Didn't have any symptoms at this stage last time, in fact I didn't even know I was pregnant until about 5+5! Hoping the nausea stays away as long as possible.

Jemstar33 · 13/10/2019 21:00

@LisaxMarie sorry to hear that. Hope you’re ok xxx

AmyMaria2 · 13/10/2019 21:16

@Ashley136 this is my first pregnancy so no expert but I'd worked out my dates from first day of last period and at my early scan they confirmed what I'd thought was right, I'm 6+1 x

Anny27 · 14/10/2019 08:17

Morning :)

I started to get a bit of nausea now i am in week 7 😭 it means the hormones are working so i will try and be thankful!

I am sorry about your CP @LisaxMarie :(

@amymaria2 awwh that's so lovely that you told your nan :)
xx

Notnowokay · 14/10/2019 09:47

@LisaxMarie I'm very sorry about your cp. I wish you the best of luck for next cycle. Take good care of yourself.

12Ashley136 I normally have 28-35 day cycle, but I had an early scan on Saturday and it dated my five days before my last af started Confused. But I was told to wait for my 12weeks scan for more accurate dating. Based on my history pregnancy history, two times I had weeks taken away and told I must have ovulated later than thought. First time two weeks were shaved off and the other one a month. The other pregnancy when I passed first trimester it was day 3 of af that the pregnancy was dated from. If you know when you ovulated then add two weeks to that.

RainMinusBow · 14/10/2019 13:10

I am a 39 yo with a significant history of mc and anxiety! 7 weeks today and the earliest mw can see me for my first appt is when I will be almost 11 weeks Sad I just want to know baby is OK!!

Chaosonthehorizon · 14/10/2019 14:01

Rainminusbow some early pregnancy units will scan women with a history of anxiety and MC. Might be worth asking your nearest one.

Chaosonthehorizon · 14/10/2019 14:02

But also your first midwife appt is booking in and bloods so no checking on baby. You have to wait until your 12 wk scan and the earliest they may do that is 11+5

Jemstar33 · 14/10/2019 14:51

@RainMinusBow I’m feeling very anxious too. It’s also baby loss awareness month so MC seems to be everywhere I look. I’m 7+1 today and don’t know how I’m going to make it through the next few weeks.
