Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@RainMinusBow can you book a private scan to check on baby?

MrsD20 · 14/10/2019 18:41

Hi ladies

I'm glad I'm not the only one driving myself insane 🙄 every twinge, cramp, sharp stab, back ache or ahem (dampness) downstairs and I've convinced myself it's all over! One day I completely forget about the anxiety and just feel ecstatically happy, the next I'm so frightened 🙈

We can't worry about what we have no control over so I just need to remember that ☺️
I'm taking 75mg of Aspirin because I can't take my ciclogest until I'm 6 weeks so hoping this helps, only 6 days to go!! 🙏🏻

Enjoy your week ladies 💗🌈 xx

MUMOFTWITS · 14/10/2019 19:05

Hello..

Actually cant believe I'm typing this...Shock
Can I join?!
I think I'm about 4/5 weeks with my.... 3rdmy other children are 8 and 11! And I'm 34.

We wasnt trying but we wasnt preventing either, I came off my pill back in September but I think I had an implation bleed on 8th sept making me 5+3 weeks maybe less?!

Omg I'm starting all over again🙈

Chaosonthehorizon · 14/10/2019 19:51

Yay another person on their third 😀. Think morning sickness has started....not going to be fun school and nursery runs etc. Also anyone had gestational diabetes before?

Nukins · 14/10/2019 23:05

🙌 I'm on number 3 ❤️

RainMinusBow · 15/10/2019 00:09

@Anny27 We could do, but if I'm honest I'd don't think I'd get much reassurance from it. Sadly I've experienced loss in the past after a scan so not sure it would reduce my anxiety if that makes sense?

RPPs · 15/10/2019 06:11

Hey MrsD20 what is the asprin for? Ive seen it mentioned a few times? Is it to create better blood flow?

MrsD20 · 15/10/2019 06:41

@RPPs I'm not actually sure how it's supposed to help because there doesn't seem to be a simple answer online but it's to do with blood clotting and different levels of protein in your blood I think.

Some special doctors in the US recommend it and others say it's not been proven so no need but it doesn't do any harm so I thought I'd give it a go as had previous MC 😊🌈 xx

RPPs · 15/10/2019 06:58

Thanks @MrsD20 I also miscarried just over a year ago so Id try anything to keep this one or improve my chances of having a successful pregnancy. Ive been advised to have a scan at 6 weeks (this Friday) to ensure its not ectopic, not that I have symptoms. I didn't want to scan until at least 8 weeks but the consultant knows best.

MrsD20 · 15/10/2019 07:20

@RPPs Oh I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure you will feel more at ease after your scan ☺️ I have a 6 week scan too on Monday to check for ectopic and multiples (conceived with Clomid)

Fingers crossed, these are our sticky ones 🌈 xx

RPPs · 15/10/2019 08:49

Oh how exciting. Would you like twins? I would mostly because Id like 2 children so that they have eachother. I got pregnant naturally straight after a failed round of IVF.
Best of luck with your scan.

Anny27 · 15/10/2019 19:11

Baby loss awareness week is a real tear jerker when you are pregnant especially 💚Thinking of all of you who have suffered a previous loss 🕯

Daydreamer71 · 15/10/2019 19:43

Hi everyone, having a little freak out as I had some brown/pink spotting today. It almost made me jump somewhat when I saw it! I'm sure it's all fine as I've read this is very common. But has anyone else had this? I also have some lower back ache this evening.

Hope everyone's doing ok ❤️

Anny27 · 15/10/2019 19:52

I have never experienced that @Daydreamer71 but if you are over 6 weeks you can call your local early pregnancy unit (EPU) and get seen tomorrow if you are worried? Xx

Jemstar33 · 15/10/2019 19:53

@Daydreamer71 as long as you’ve had no bad cramps and blood that’s gotten darker I would class as normal. How far along are you? Try not to worry and put your feet up x

Daydreamer71 · 15/10/2019 20:04

@Anny27 @Jemstar33 thank you both! I'm 6 weeks today. I have a GP appointment tomorrow and there's a chance he could refer me to a local EPU for scan same day. It's so easy to worry and panic x

thosethreewords · 15/10/2019 20:05

Hi can I join you ladies? I'm quite a bit behind you all at 4+1/4+2!
First baby for me and DH - worried about MC because it has affected so many people I know and this is first BFP for us in a year.
Debating getting an early scan, but DH isn't necessarily for it.

Anny27 · 15/10/2019 20:13

Fingers crossed for you @daydreamer71

Welcome @thosethreewords :) i think worrying is completley normal. i have booked a private scan for next week when i will be 8+5ish. Its giving me something to look forward to atleast!

mrsc1987 · 15/10/2019 20:18

5 weeks today. I'm massively emotional must have cried about 10 times today especially when I think how much i want this baby, bloody hormones! Also the heartburn is awful i have reflux and my doctor has stopped my tablets due to not suitable in pregnancy (lansoprazole) im going to have to go back and ask for an alternative as i cant go on like this for another 8 months. Hope everyone else is doing well today

AmyMaria2 · 15/10/2019 22:42

Hey hope everyone's okay, I've felt so awful the last few days, just felt sick, can't find anything I want to eat, got a constant headache and can't sleep!!

Hope everyone's feeling better than me!

I did buy two cute little vests to cheer myself up the other day.. just hope I'm not jinxing anything 💗

Missgemini · 16/10/2019 07:22

Hi ladies. I hope people have been ok.
I have been hit with severe exhaustion over the last few days. Literally sleeping everywhere. Also, developed some nausea, which settled once I got some cyclizine.
I had one episode of a fresh blood stained CM 2 days ago. The tiniest amount, but that was so worrying. Thankfully did not continue.
Stay well ladies!

mrssunshinexxx · 16/10/2019 07:46

Hi ladies please can I join got my bfp yesterday digi says 2-3 weeks so very early days can someone pls tell me what I do next? I have read that I shouldn't book a doctors app?
I know I'm very early but would like plenty notice for any apps as my dh works offshore and want him to have the opportunity to come home x

Chaosonthehorizon · 16/10/2019 08:14

Congrats! I think I remember you from ttc boards?? You can self refer (as long as you know which hospital you want to go to) all online now. If you don’t know then GP might be able to help. They do need to sign your form for free prescriptions but I think the midwife might be able to as well. I just needed the form doing before my booking in appt which isn’t until November.

Anny27 · 16/10/2019 08:16

@mrssunshinexxx congrats :D first thing i did was call my GP who gave me the midwives number who i called to start the ball rolling. In terms of apps , i have pregnancy+ which is really good :)

@Missgemini and @AmyMaria2 i am the same also exhausted and feel lile crap. I constantly feel like i havent eaten nothing even though i have :( commuting into London for the next 3 days and its going to be really hard :(

mrssunshinexxx · 16/10/2019 08:28

@Anny27 @Chaosonthehorizon thanks v much I know which hospital and know where the midwife clinic is so maybe I will just ring them but when is too soon? Xx
