Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@Larrydavid I am! Oh I’m shattered too. I love sleeping usually though and I especially love these dark nights and being cosy at home.

Where have you been? Xxx

smiletillyoumakeit · 11/10/2019 09:46

@Hayleylou89 hope you're doing okay! I've also been having horrendous cramps that come out of the blue & last about 15 mins. They had me doubled over on the floor yesterday, I felt like I was going to pass out, was hot & clammy & threw up because of the pain. Went to the urgent treatment centre & they weren't concerned because I wasn't in any pain at the time once it passed & I haven't bled. You're lucky to get a scan for reassurance! The doctor had no idea what it could be but to me it felt like all my lower abdomen & back was contracting 😫 I'm now wondering if it is due to IBS which has worsened with the pregnancy & my intestines are cramping up now & again xx

Ahhh slightly freaking out here. 10 DPO and just decided to take a test this morning as Clue was saying I'm due tomorrow but didn't have any of my usual period symptoms.
I literally don't know what to do now! I honestly am doubting myself these are actually positive. Thinking of running up to the chemist to get some more tests so I can test again tomorrow.
Thanks goodness I am working from home because I cannot concentrate on anything!

Please help guys I'm freaking out. Just confirmed pregnant with dc3 due mid June. My eldest is nearly 13!!! Shock

Ashley136 · 11/10/2019 10:19

Hi everyone! Congratulations on all your positives!
I got mine a few days ago, told my husband yesterday on my 30th Birthday!
It’s my second pregnancy (first ended in a MC in April at 9 weeks) so finding it hard not to worry that it’ll happen again
@Anny27 the reassurance link is helpful though I’ve never seen one of those thanks for sharing!
Hope everyone’s feeling ok x

RainMinusBow · 11/10/2019 10:21

@19captainjacksparrow Congrats! This will be my third and my eldest (first marriage) will be almost 13 when baby is born. He doesn't know yet but I'm sure he'll threaten moving in with his dad ft!!! Confused

captainjacksparrow · 11/10/2019 10:26

Glad to hear someone else has a big age gap. DC will be 13 and 8 by time baby arrives. I have no idea how to tell them (or my mother)

MissisBee · 11/10/2019 10:53

Hi. Checking in this morning. Welcome to all the new ladies and congratulations.
Those scan pictures are fab Hayleylou89 and Jemstar33. Twins!
Did another test this morning and reassured to see a change from my first one on Monday. No real symptoms yet, which I'm quite glad about. Just really crap sleep, which isn't unusual for me.

I told my manager today as feeling really tired and feel like i am being a bit rubbish at work. He was really happy for me so i shouldn't have been so nervous haha!

@daydreamer71 yeah the cramps are annoying arent they! I am 6+5 and not getting them in the night like i was the first 2 weeks but i get them ocassionally for like 30 seconds.

@larrydavid i was so exhausted the first week after i found out! Less tired now but still tired haha. And yep i think every woman on here is worrying which is rubbish but very normal xx

@jemstar33 still cant believe its twins :D

@ashley136 ahh how lovely to tell your DH on your 30th:D it must be even more difficult after a miscarriage to relax. Hoping the journey to 12 weeks is quick!

Welcome to all the newbies!!

Anny27 · 11/10/2019 13:32

@AmyMaria2 how was your scan lovely?

Jemstar33 · 11/10/2019 13:41

@Hayleylou89 sorry I missed your message! Sounds like we’ve having similar symptoms!

I’ve told some of my friends and family, I was just too excited after the scan! When will you tell everyone? X

@anny27 oh interesting you told your boss, I might tell mine on Monday. I’ve been really distracted the past few weeks too x

Jemstar33 · 11/10/2019 13:42

Congratulations to the newbies xxx

Anny27 · 11/10/2019 13:47

@jemstar33 my reasoning was that if anything did go wrong i would want some time off so would have to tell him anyway!

I will wait to tell everyone else till after the 12 weeks. Might tell some more close family after our 9 week private one

AmyMaria2 · 11/10/2019 14:43

Hey welcome and congratulations to all the new bfps!🥰

@Anny27
Had my early scan today, they agreed with my dates so definitely 6 weeks tomorrow. Saw a little heart beat 😍 it's just soo tiny at the moment I can't wait until my scan on the 30th when I'll be nearly 9 weeks, hopefully see much more. So relieved everything's ok, the reassurance is great! Definitely going to have to tell my nan and a few more people after my next scan I'm dying to now lol x

Anny27 · 11/10/2019 14:59

Awwh thats amazing @amymaria2 such a relief for you to see a heartbeat 😍😍

Roll on 14 days when i have my scan haha!

Chaosonthehorizon · 11/10/2019 18:00

Glad there are a few of us on number 3! Think it is going to be a whole new parenting experience...😱

RainMinusBow · 11/10/2019 19:19

@captainjacksparrow My two boys will be 10 and almost 13! My OH has no idea what he's letting himself in for as this will be his first (and last!!) Grin

Wishful30 · 11/10/2019 20:02

How is everyone getting such early scans? 😫
I've been told I won't be scanned until 12weeks unless there's a problem.

I've got no symptoms.. like... literally 🤦🏻‍♀️
Had 2 weeks of brown spotting and nothing since. Now I'm even wondering if I'm still pregnant. I know that rediculous, but after a mc, and my dh is just constitslking about what we need to do and buy, I just want to know now. It's doing my head in 😞

AmyMaria2 · 11/10/2019 20:31

@Wishful30 I've been ttc for 2 years with fertility clinics, and got pregnant while on clomid treatment so they like to do a 5/6 week scan and maybe another before 12 weeks. But if you have any concerns you can call your nearest early pregnancy unit and ask to be seen x

Notnowokay · 12/10/2019 06:25

@Wishful30 I paid one for 1pm today, but I live in London and found a deal on Groupon. I called them up and asked questions before buying one. They place a lot of conditions and say you will pay more if this or that is found. For example if you are more than 12weeks or are pregnant with multiples.

Jemstar33 · 12/10/2019 07:29

@Wishful30 I paid too. Have a look for local deal near you some can be expensive but I was lucky I got two scans for £80 although I will need to pay extra for my 2nd now I know it’s twins. So worth it for the reassurance. I mc last time too so waiting 12 weeks was never going to happen for me! My actual scan isn’t until 13 weeks too!

Have you taken a pregnancy test recently? I’m sure all is normal but if the earlier scan is a no at least you can get reassurance from that. Try not to worry ❤️

@AmyMaria2 so happy for you! Happy 6 weeks xxx

Wishful30 · 12/10/2019 07:39

@Jemstar33 @Notnowokay
Scans here are £89 and that's still a 40min drive away. Or I could drive an hour and a half to the closest mothercare that do it for £70. But dh doesn't like the idea of that. 🙄
I've thought about poas but read that it's possible to still have enough hormones in your blood even 2 weeks after a mc.
I know deep down I'm being silly, but there's just something niggling at me.
Although I have an on/off stabby pain on the left had side now.... 7weeks today.
Need to find £70 from somewhere.

Anny27 · 12/10/2019 08:54

@wishful30 hope you manage to get some reassurance :)

Is anyone else not actyally being sick but dry heaving a lot? I find that i gag/retch a few times a day but haven't actually thrown up. Strange!

AmyMaria2 · 12/10/2019 10:15

@Jemstar33 thanks! Half way through the 'danger zone' 😁💗

@Anny27 yes! I was sick a few times at like 4 weeks but since then just heave at certain things, or randomly through the day, maybe it means sickness is coming lol x

Larrydavid · 12/10/2019 10:33

Hey guys - when do you all recommend getting an early scan? Is it around 7weeks? Or earlier? I'm going to get one. Need to register at a doctor too! (So disorganised!) hope everyone has good weekend plans! I was asleep by 10pm last night- rock n roll!

@Jemstar33 I was in japan for a couple of weeks! I ate so much raw fish - felt very guilty when I found out about the pregnancy!
