Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@NikkiandMini that sounds like a great idea! I'd be up for that! X

Crumbsinthecarpet · 10/10/2019 19:33

Can I join please? Found out last week, bfp, due June 12th!

Anyone else have NO symptoms except maybe a bit tired ?
OP also have child who will be 2 (well a few weeks off) when number 2 comes!

Jemstar33 · 10/10/2019 19:41

I stopped getting notifications on the thread for some reason!

I’m so sorry @SallyWallyDoDah 💔 as @SuperSarah said I was so surprised that 70% of the people I talked to had been through it too. It’s shit that we’re not more open about it, it feels to me that we suffer in silence because it happened early, like we’re supposed to just accept it. Here if you ever want to chat xxx

Jemstar33 · 10/10/2019 19:43

Congrats to all the new bfp’s ❤️❤️

@NikkiandMini I would be up for that too!

I’m having no symptoms either other that CM and heavy boobs but I feel like a weight has lifted seeing those little heart beats on Tuesday! I have another private scan on the 22nd and then I need to wait a month for the next one, not sure I’ll cope 😂😂 xxx

SallyWallyDoDah · 10/10/2019 19:46

Everyone thank you. I cannot stop crying. My partner is the same. He's equally as devastated. It's out first baby ever. Our first time conceiving and we feel so deflated like this isn't going to happen for us. We are so desperate for a baby. But yes it affects many women and until you speak out you don't really hear about it.

One of my friends actually made me feel like it was nothing and she said "you can just try again" because I was "only 5 weeks" but I still remember my excitement and now feel devastated

Wishful30 · 10/10/2019 20:14

@SallyWallyDoDah sending you lots of hugs. You and your other half need to look after each other and let yourselves grieve.
It's natural to be so heartbroken after a loss no matter how far along you were.
I have had 5 chemicals and one mc at 4+4. I'd only told my husband the night before I miscarried. I really feel for you right now.
Yes, it's early and you can try again, but noting will take away the excitement you felt and the sadness you feel now.
Give yourselves time and be kind to yourself. Sadly nature isn't always kind.
Sending you a lot of love xx

LisaxMarie · 10/10/2019 20:22

Congratulations ladies!!

@SallyWallyDoDah so sorry to hear that. Such a heartbreaking time. I lost my first ever pregnancy back in July due to EP and I know just how alone you can feel so please feel free to chat if you need to.

I got my bfp today!! Feeling rather cautious after losing my first but me and DH over the moon with the news. According to the pregnancy calculator we are due 23rd June 2020 ❣️

Girlinajumpsuit · 10/10/2019 20:26

@Anny27 thanks so much for posting that great link! Has really helped me feel so much more relaxed. If the figures are right theres a lot to be positive about Smile

Got an early scan on Tues (as ivf baby) so trying desperately to stay optimistic. It is SO terrifying though!

MrsD20 · 10/10/2019 20:31

@SallyWallyDoDah I'm so so sorry for your painful loss 😞 I MC at 5 weeks last year and it was the saddest time of my life. You don't want to try again because you wanted that baby, I totally understand. Please remember that 1 in 4 pregnancies end in MC and although that fact makes it no easier, it made me feel less guilty and less alone ❤️

Time is a great healer and you will get to a stronger headspace eventually, give yourself time and surround yourself with love and laughter.

People say the wrong things and things they don't realise are hurtful if they haven't experienced it themselves, and it used to make me so angry but it tends to come from a good place, they just want to make you feel hopeful for the future.

So sorry again 🌈 xx

RPPs · 10/10/2019 21:08

Evening all
Can I ask a question... has anyone else got a load of gas and an increase in motion movement Grin. Im explosive and I had to get up in the night to pass motion Wink.
Is it just me? #gassedout

Kez437 · 10/10/2019 21:21

@NikkiandMini I would definitely love to join! I feel so lucky to have you all already, husband is great but obviously doesn't really 'get it'.

Notnowokay · 10/10/2019 21:27

@SallyWallyDoDah I'm very sorry for your loss. Flowers There will be people in life who will say the wrong thing. Take good care of yourself and your partner.

GillianHolroyd · 10/10/2019 22:12

@SallyWallyDoDah, am so sorry for your loss, it doesn’t matter how far along, it was still your baby - I’m so sorry for your loss xxxxxx sending massive hugs xxxxxx Flowers

Hayleylou89 · 11/10/2019 08:11

Forgot to post on here for a while, had an early scan due to really horrendous cramps - this was at 5 weeks approx and all is ok 👌🏼 i have another early scan a week on monday for the heartbeat 💗 its so nerve wracking

Due June 2020...
Anny27 · 11/10/2019 08:14

@Girlinajumpsuit glad that the link was reassuring :D yes sometimes you need to lool at the positives as i think we are all too aware of what could go wrong xx

@Hayleylou89 lovely! That must be so reassuring:) our first scan is 2 weeks time

Jemstar33 · 11/10/2019 08:27

@Hayleylou89 aw I’m so glad they gave you a scan I bet you feel a lot better now. Xxx

Daydreamer71 · 11/10/2019 08:39

@Hayleylou89 that's amazing and must be so reassuring! Congrats! I had a bit of a wobble yesterday over my cramps but in reality I think they were quite minor. I did wake up in the night to some pain but I've been sleeping quite poorly anyway - part excitement part anxiety I think!

Massive congrats to you :)

Hayleylou89 · 11/10/2019 08:40

@Anny27 @Jemstar33 yea it was lovely to make sure the pains wernt ectopic pains i ended up in A&e 3 times with them but they actually think it was due to my bowls which they gave me medication for and i seem to be getting less pains now just general dull aches and pains now not severe ones keeping me up all night.

How far are you two? X x

Daydreamer71 · 11/10/2019 08:40

@Anny27 this miscarriage assurance thing is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing

Hayleylou89 · 11/10/2019 08:42

Due June 2020...
Jemstar33 · 11/10/2019 08:43

It’s fab that they gave you the scan @Hayleylou89 I was just turned away when I thought I was MC at 5 weeks (confirmed a few days later).

I’m 6+5 now, had my first scan on Tuesday at 6+1 and confirmed non identical twins!!!
I had an internal so mine looks different to yours. Xxx

Due June 2020...
Hayleylou89 · 11/10/2019 08:45

@Jemstar33 sorry about the MC... omg twins are u delighted? How have u felt with twins? ....mine was internal too they wont have seen much on normal scan xx

Jemstar33 · 11/10/2019 08:56

@Hayleylou89 I know! I can’t believe it 😃 so so happy it’s taken us 2 years to conceive so I’m feeling happier that I don’t have to worry about trying for another because of my age too.

I haven’t felt hardly any symptoms which I should be thankful for really. Seeing those heartbeats put my mind to rest.
You’ll be counting down the day till next Monday!
How about you, other than the cramps? Xxx

Hayleylou89 · 11/10/2019 09:00

@Jemstar33 honestly felt fine other than them horrendous cramp i was havin to get in bath many times through the middle of the night because they would just creep up on me they were like nothing iv ever ever felt it was bad! Im so happy that has passed, other than that iv been great just nausea here and there and sore boobs that have grown (not complaining about them tho) neither is the husband haha x

Yeah my first midwife appt is a week today then my scan on monday 🤞🏻 iv not told anyone yet i just want to make sure everything is ok and dont want anyone worrying ..so im going to wait until the 12 weeks ...have u told anyone yet? X

Larrydavid · 11/10/2019 09:00

Hey everyone - hope you're all doing well.
@Anny27 - that miscarriage reassurance site is great. I'm so worried - but I guess that's normal.

@Lemonysherbet how are you getting on?

@Jemstar33 - twins! Amazing. You must be so excited!

I've been in bed by 9pm every night this week. I'm absolutely exhausted. I'm still jetlagged I think so that plus pregnancy = 😴
