Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

Morning,

@MilsCookie I haven't had any blood at all but have have intense cramps for 30 seconds or so throughout this week. I'm sure everyone is different ☺️🌈 xx

SallyWallyDoDah · 10/10/2019 08:06

Good morning ladies. I've been quiet up until now.

Yesterday I went to A&E as I started with bleeding and abdominal/back pain at work. Luckily I work in the building attached to the main hospital.

Unfortunately the doctor confirmed I have suffered a miscarriage.

I feel devastated. Both my partner and I have done nothing but cry.

It's an odd feeling I feel. Something between anger, heartache but also guilt, as if I have done something wrong which has lead to this. I feel like I have let my partner down too.

Anyway, sorry to put a downer on you all. I wish you all beautiful healthy and happy pregnancies and here's to the June 2020 babies 🥂

Much love xxx

Seventytwoseventythree · 10/10/2019 08:18

Really sorry to hear that @SallyWallyDoDah. Hope you can have some time off the come to terms with it and you have people in real life to speak to.

Anny27 · 10/10/2019 08:19

I am so sorry for your loss @SallyWallyDoDah :(

It is definitley nothing that you have done and not your fault at all xxx

Be kind to yourself and allow yourself to grieve. It is baby loss awareness week this week so online is filled with so many resources and things to help you

So sorry :(

SuperSarah · 10/10/2019 10:00

@SallyWallyDoDah So sorry for you and your partner. There is nothing that can be said that will make it feel better. Just give yourself all the time you need and be kind to each other.
There is nothing you have done. If you choose to tell people, you will be surprised at how many people have been through the same. That shocked me when I went through the same, but also made me feel less alone.
Sending kind thoughts and hugs your way 💗💗💗

AmyMaria2 · 10/10/2019 10:41

So sorry to hear that @SallyWallyDoDah thinking of you, sending lots of love 💗💗💗 x

AmyMaria2 · 10/10/2019 11:30

@Anny27 my scans in the morning. Just to check lining and multiples as it's a clomid pregnancy, then a proper private scan at the end of the month and I'll be nearly 9 weeks then so hoping to hear the heart beat! Have you got a private scan booked? Xx

Anny27 · 10/10/2019 11:36

@AmyMaria2 fingers crossed everything is okay for tomorrow :D i have a private one booked in for 2 weeks time when i will be nearly 9 (8+5) :D

mrsc1987 · 10/10/2019 12:09

Ohh interesting to hear about private scans, hubby mentioned we could get one once im around 8 weeks or so.

Also is anyone on extra folic acid ive been prescribed 5mg dose, does anyone know im ok to still take a pregnancy multivitamin with folic acid in aswel l or should i avoid too much? Confused!

Daydreamer71 · 10/10/2019 12:57

@SallyWallyDoDah so sorry to hear about your loss 😔 sending love x

Daydreamer71 · 10/10/2019 12:59

How's everyone feeling today? I've suddenly come over feeling so anxious and scared for some reason that's somethings gonna go wrong. I just cried at my desk and have been non stop texting my husband. I've been fine up until this point but it just feels like an overwhelming anxiousness has hit me.

Also having more frequent cramping today and lower back pain which I've not had yet.

Hope everyone's feeling ok ❤️

Kez437 · 10/10/2019 13:07

Hey @Daydreamer71 I feel you, the emotions hit me yesterday which was really overwhelming. I know it's hard to not worry but you have no reason to, back ache and cramps are perfectly normal so nothing to worry about. I feel like there is just an awful lot to process, physically, mentally and emotionally so maybe try and take some time out for you and maybe with your hubby. I knew last night I was starting to get irrationally emotional so I took myself to bed at 8.30pm, hubby didn't wake me so I slept for 10 hours straight and today I feel like a different woman, a lot calmer and more positive. Maybe an early night will help you too? We've a lot going on atm so rest is good. Sending all the love to everyone, we woman are incredible Thanks

mrsc1987 · 10/10/2019 13:24

@Daydreamer71 i have cramps today too but my friend (she has 5 kids and is my go to baby guru) and google have assured me its totally normal. Im exhausted and my brain is allover the place it's a mixture of anxiety and excitement. I'm dying to shout it from the rooftops too but i have to resist for another 8 weeks yet lol argghh.

SuperSarah · 10/10/2019 14:05

@Daydreamer71 my emotions also running amok. I was in a real stinker of a mood last couple days. Thankfully felt better yesterday and now back to normal. Definitely the hormones causing this lol!

Daydreamer71 · 10/10/2019 14:09

@Kez437 @mrsc1987 thank you both, much appreciated. I know I'm probably over thinking it because i do with most things! Every feeling a sensation is new and it's just hard to understand what's normal and what isn't.

Unfortunately I have to work late tonight and won't be home until at least 10pm :( but if I'm still feeling like this tomorrow then I might take the day off. Just had a nice lunch with a friend which helped but now have a headache. Feel a bit sick but I feel like that's more from anxiousness. I'm also telling my mum and my sister tomorrow night which I think will also help me feel better because at the moment only my husband and me know.

I knew I'd feel anxious the moment we got pregnant but I didn't think I'd feel it this "deep" if that makes sense - I don't know just feels like such a raw feeling!!

CoffeeAndCarbs · 10/10/2019 14:21

Hi All,

Hoping that I can join this thread. I got my BFP this morning at 9DPO 😍 according to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due 22nd June.

This will be our first baby and we are so excited (and in disbelief that it's actually happening)! It's my 35th birthday tomorrow so the timing couldn't be better as we'll be having our 12 week scan a couple of weeks before Christmas which is a perfect time for announcing the happy news to family (assuming all goes well 🤞🏼)

Hope you are all doing well x

Due June 2020...
mrsc1987 · 10/10/2019 14:40

Congratulations @CoffeeAndCarbs so much exciting BFP news on this thread. Ohh im also thinking Christmas will be the perfect time to announce it friends and family with all being well, i can't wait to see their faces already!

CoffeeAndCarbs · 10/10/2019 15:18

Thanks @mrsc1987 and Congratulations to you to 😊 I don't know how I'm going to keep my mouth shut for the next couple of months 🙈 it's my mum's 60th mid-December and this news will be the best present ever, it'll be her first grandchild ❤️ x

Anny27 · 10/10/2019 15:34

Congratulations @CoffeeAndCarbs thats a really good line for 9dpo :D

I have also been feeling a bit anxious. What has helped me is the "miscarriage risk reassurer" which gives you your risk or NOT miscarrying which i find helpful. Someone posted it a while back :D

AmyMaria2 · 10/10/2019 15:35

@CoffeeAndCarbs congratulations! Sounds like perfect timing! x

CoffeeAndCarbs · 10/10/2019 16:10

@AmyMaria2 @Anny27 Thank you both very much! I still can't believe it, keep looking at the test to make sure lol.

@Anny27 thanks for the link, I'm sure I'll find that really helpful!

Hope both of your scans go really well! How exciting 😊 x

NikkiandMini · 10/10/2019 16:54

I wondered if anyone in this thread with due date end of May / June 2020 fancied getting a WhatsApp group together to share our pregnancy experience and even plan meet ups thereafter, if we live close enough... I didnt do the group thing with baby 1 and really keen to do so this time x

GillianHolroyd · 10/10/2019 17:00
