Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

@SuperSarah awww due date twinnies! Super exciting! I’ve just realised what I wrote before was misleading.... I meant this was my first baby! Not that I already have 1 DC 🤦🏼‍♀️ can I blame baby brain already?! 🙈

@SuperSarah I also work in a hospital. Currently on night shifts and it really does not sit well with me! For the first time last night, I had nausea. Don't know if I imagined it or it was to do with being awake at night!
I think I will try to get a 6 week scan. The days are crawling since I got that positive!

@Missgemini I'm having an early scan Friday (might have to be an internal) my consultant organised it for me to check my lining, heartbeat & if it's multiples! As it's a clomid pregnancy. Maybe try and get an early scan put your mind at rest, every little things worrying at this stage! But I'm sure everything will be fine xx

Hi All
Can I join? Got my BFP on Sunday, just past, didn't quite believe it so did another yesterday and the same BFP 2-3 weeks on ClearBlue digital. NHS calculator gives me 12th June due date. Still in disbelief but soo excited! Been in work for the last 2 days and finding it impossible to concentrate! Anyone else in the same boat?

Just seen the lists:
Due Date: 12th June
First Baby
Age: 28
Location: Northern Ireland

Daydreamer71 · 08/10/2019 14:55

@Kez437 hey! Wow we are in the exact same boat ! :)

BFP Sunday for me and due date is 12th June 2020.

Finding it so hard to concentrate and going to book in for an early scan for a couple of weeks when we can hopefully hear a heart beat 😍😍

Congrats!!

Kez437 · 08/10/2019 15:16

Oh @Daydreamer71 can you do that? With your Doctor? I only rang mine today and am waiting for them to get back to me tomorrow. I think saying the words 'I'm pregnant' out loud to someone who isn't hubby is going to make it sooo real!
Huge congrats to you too! We're in it together Thanks

Daydreamer71 · 08/10/2019 15:19

@Kez437 yeah you can't do it through your usual doctor though so I'm going to go to a private centre and pay for it myself - the one I found nearby that has had really good reviews is £80 which I thought was a good price!

I know it's so strange, we haven't told a soul yet as we wanted it sink in, but going to tell our parents and siblings this weekend!!

smiletillyoumakeit · 08/10/2019 17:43

Does anybody else have quite intense period type cramps that keep coming and going ?? I'm getting concerned. I'm not bleeding though

Daydreamer71 · 08/10/2019 17:55

@smiletillyoumakeit yes I do! They aren't overly strong and come and go. They feel like the period twinges I often get a few days before I start. Also haven't had any bleeding. I'm just trying to remain positive, everything I've read online says this is typically normal as the uterus is expanding. I think if it's accompanied by either bleeding or it's really severe, then it's best to get checked out.

Try not to worry☺️

smiletillyoumakeit · 08/10/2019 17:58

@Daydreamer71 these feel the same as when I am in the middle of a really bad period so I'm worried but the doctor told me I won't see a midwife till 8ish weeks so I don't kno who I'm meant to speak to about concerns x

Daydreamer71 · 08/10/2019 18:03

@smiletillyoumakeit maybe give your local antenatal ward a call and tell them? They might try and see you. If the pain gets any worse or you bleed as well, maybe go to a&e? Sorry not good with this as I haven't pregnant before! Try to remain calm if you can

Anny27 · 08/10/2019 18:09

@smiletillyoumakeit i had th3m quite a lot weeks 4-6 and now i am week 6 i have them ocassionally. I wish i didn't have them as they are worrying me but i know they are normal!

smiletillyoumakeit · 08/10/2019 18:13

@Daydreamer71 yeah it's my first pregnancy too & I'm a bit of a worrier 🙉 it's probably nothing but if it gets worse or more frequent I'll give them a call. Thank you :)

@Anny27 it's horrible isn't it cause I have read that mild cramps & pulling/stretching sensations are normal but when I get the cramps they're like intense period cramps & I haven't read that that's normal so it's playing on my mind. But hopefully it is just everything growing 😁

smiletillyoumakeit · 08/10/2019 18:14

@Anny27 & I am 4+2 based on my last period x

Daydreamer71 · 08/10/2019 18:26

@smiletillyoumakeit I know what you mean, I'm a complete worrier too. I've actually surprised myself by how calm I've been since finding out (albeit that was only two days ago loll!!). I was freaking out a bit on Sunday though because I had a massive binge drink last Thursday 😔 But I'm just going to try my best to keep calm and do what I can going forward. I was even googling symptoms of ectopics earlier before I was like what am I even doing!!

The point of this chat is for us to go through it together and help each other along so don't be afraid to talk about your worries. You know your body better than anyone at the end of the day!

Missgemini · 08/10/2019 18:29

@smiletillyoumakeit You can walk into any EPU in any hospital. My friend is an obgyn doctor and she says any woman will be checked out and scanned if they walk in and complain of tummy pains/back pains etc

@AmyMaria2 I plan to walk in for a scan in the next week or so. I hope our scans are ok! :)

Daydreamer71 · 08/10/2019 18:41

Another symptom I'm having is peeing quite a lot - but this is probably because I'm scared that if I don't drink every 2 seconds I will get dehydrated 🙄🙄🙄

MrsD20 · 08/10/2019 19:15

Evening Ladies,

Due date: 15th June
First baby, 3rd pregnancy
Age: 27 (28 next month)
Location: Norfolk (no I don't have webbed feet) 😉

@smiletillyoumakeit I am 4+2 as well and perfectly fine most of the time but every now and then I get very strong, burning period pains! They only last 30 seconds or so but I didn't have them last year before my MC so I just hope that's a good sign and it's just baby nuzzling in ☺️

The anxiety is real isn't it! One minute I'm so excited, the next I'm telling myself this happiness won't last 😟 Bring on the next 8 weeks 🙈🌈

Xxx

RPPs · 08/10/2019 20:29

Hello Ladies
I like many of you have had a BFP at the weekend. I had some spotting a week ago but it was a different colour to the start of a period. When it disappeared after 2 days I decided to wait until I was 14 DPO. Ive had cramps and lower back pain which have subsided. This all came about straight after a failed round of IVF. At my IVF followup appointment today the dr advised me to have an early scan to ensure it was ectopic. The hycosy test showed a potential blockage on one of my tubes but it wasnt certain. Now Im freaking out that I may have an ectopic pregnancy. If anyone has been through this I'd love advice.
Keen to hear your experiences as our pregnancies progress.
Wishing you all love, luck and support x
