Can't quite believe it but I've just taken a test this morning... Baby no.2 is on the way! According to the NHS due date calculator, I'm due on 1st June 2020.

We're both a bit surprised as we'd only just started "trying not trying" (very lucky, I know) and our first TTC journey was a bit of a rollercoaster. But yeah... Here we go! DD will have just turned 2 when they arrive. Terrifying but we're both very excited!

Anyone else also found out the same today?

Thanks @pepepig I conceived with clomid so knew there was a chance but wow did not expect it! Also I’ve been having little to no symptoms and there’s two perfectly sized babies with hearts beating so we all should try to worry less ❤️❤️❤️

Wow @Jemstar33 congratulations!! 👶🏻 👶🏻 so exciting!!

Welcome to all of you who have just had BFPs!

I am still feeling rotten 🤧 my cold has now developed into some sort of sinusitis so I’m in a bit of pain and just feel really weak! I’m terrified to take anything...does anyone have any tips?

mrsc1987 · 09/10/2019 07:06

Thank you @Missgemini I'm definitely excited but of course we have to be cautious, i really just can't believe it's finally happened!

Missgemini · 09/10/2019 07:17

@MilsCookie I know Paracetamol is safe in pregnancy, as per my gynae friend. It is recommended that you take the lowest effective dose. I wouldn't go near any other painkillers. If paracetamol won't settle it, I would personally see my GP for further options. Sorry you've been poorly

SuperSarah · 09/10/2019 08:10

@Jemstar33 WOW I’d freak! Congratulations lol!!
@Missgemini I’m also thinking of going for an early scan. It’s worth the price for peace of mind!

Hello to all the newbies and congrats on your BFPs.

Going to tell my husband the good news tonight at dinner... so excited!

Missgemini · 09/10/2019 08:22

@Supersarah That's so exciting! How do you plan on breaking the news?
Sadly, mine wasn't very romantic at all! My poor husband was squinting at the test with me at 10DPO wondering what the heck he was meant to be seeing Grin

smiletillyoumakeit · 09/10/2019 08:35

@Daydreamer71 lol, I only found out on Friday & I've been obsessing over every symptom or lack of since. Aww don't worry about that! Your baby is protected & doesn't consume what you eat/drink till about 10 weeks so don't worry.
Yes it's nice to have people to talk to on here!xx

smiletillyoumakeit · 09/10/2019 08:38

@Missgemini ah okay, thank you! I'll bear that in mind!

@MrsD20 aww bless, it's such an anxious time & a rollercoaster of emotions! Fingers crossed this is the one! I'm sure it will be! ☺️xx

RPPs · 09/10/2019 09:02

Recommendation for all in prep for winter. I take a vitamin called 'Bee Prepared'. Its cheapest on amazon. It is great at stopping the cold in its tracks. As soon as you feel the first signs of a cold start taking it. It's worked a wonder for me and my DH. Might be worth having them on standby this winter.

Kez437 · 09/10/2019 09:42

@Daydreamer71 oh thanks for the heads up, I checked and there is one near me that does for £70 which also seems so reasonable. They say 6 weeks plus, is this 6 weeks from date of last period or actual 6 weeks? It's all so confusing to know when you're actually meant to count from!

Also read your post about your binge drink, j actually found out on Sunday whilst very hungover so we really are in the same boat! Trying not to panic and not google too much, nothing to indicate any problems, I just feel cramps and A LOT of wind Blush

MilsCookie · 09/10/2019 12:09

Thanks @Missgemini - I have paracetamol so will just take that but as little as poss until I feel better!!

Daydreamer71 · 09/10/2019 12:33

@Kez437 I believe it's 6 weeks from the first day of your last period - I'm 5 weeks & 2 days today :)

I'm with you on the wind!

I don't feel bloated really, waiting for that to arrive!

SuperSarah · 09/10/2019 13:00

@Missgemini I was thinking of wrapping a test and handing it to him as an ‘extra’ anniversary present. He was asking me if I could be pregnant yesterday and I had to lie and say no 😳 I’ve had this planned for a week and I didn’t want him to spoil it lol!
@RPPs good idea - I normally take vitamin C effervescent tablets which normally stop colds in their track but I am currently taking daily Pregnacare vitamins which should keep the immune system fighting fit.
