Thought I'd post another November babies thread as I haven't seen one in ages. I'll be 31 weeks tomorrow and it's starting to feel very real now! Not that the crazy heartburn and ever expanding bump wasn't enough of a reminder... anyone else due in November and want to chat?

@KatieKat88 I've got the positive birth book as a start, just need to find the time to read it!

KatieKat88 · 21/09/2019 11:56

@Blueeyedblondie let me know how it is when you get around to it!

Is anyone else finding that they're really hot all the time? I'm not sleeping that well at the best of times but I had a really bad night last night - woke at 2.30 for a wee and after an hour of not getting back to sleep I have up and went downstairs for a couple of hours. DH thinks I overheated - he reckons it's like trying to sleep next to a radiator next to him!

Montgomerystubercles · 24/09/2019 08:20

I'm a big fan of autumn but would really have appreciated being able to wear slip on sandals for the rest of this pregnancy. Damn you rain appropriate socks and shoes!

NewMumToB3 · 24/09/2019 13:29

Hi ladies!!

Not long now - just 37 days until the start of November and our due Month

KatieKat88 · 24/09/2019 16:17

@Weathergirl1 yes I'm always warm - haven't bothered wearing tights or a cardy/jacket at work and normally I'm well into them by now!

@Montgomerystubercules same!!

Anyone else suffering with sciatica like pains in their but cheeks? Also feel like I'm a radiator stick on 5 and that's not normal form me!!

Missbdhfc · 24/09/2019 20:23

If not already a member, please join the November Buddies group on FB. We are an eclectic but friendly bunch who have been supporting each other for the duration of our pregnancies and will no doubt continue to do so as our babies are born. Be good to see you there.

Dramaofallama · 24/09/2019 21:02

I have been finding it very warm too, worst is when walking around shops. I am not sure if they have now upped the heating or its me but I am sweltering.
I had my GP appointment today and it looks like I have PGD :(, they have sent a referral off for me and signed me off work as I do a physically demanding job. Even now I am in agony and I was only out for four hours today :/

Dramaofallama · 24/09/2019 21:03

*PGP

leomama81 · 25/09/2019 10:35

I am very warm as well! Oh sorry about the PGP @Dramaofallama I have it too though doesn't sound as bad as yours, it is horrid.

How do we find the FB group @Missbdhfc?

KatieKat88 · 25/09/2019 10:53

@Ohmydaysmate yes to sciatica - it's getting my knee worst but sometimes it's all up and down my leg (and into my bum - feels like pins and needles) - desperately want this gone as I feel like an old lady! Midwife said that the baby might move and that would help Angry so not particularly helpful! (Even though she is very nice so I feel mean)

Link to FB group! You'll love us Smile

My sciatica is killing me. I spent all of yesterday crying. Nothing helps

leomama81 · 25/09/2019 13:00

Thanks @Mintypea5 - request sent!

Goostacean · 25/09/2019 13:27

Physio, for the sciatica. I was unable to walk normally after standing, couldn't sit on hard surfaces (chairs, the floor, challenging with a toddler!), couldn't get out of bed without pain... got a referral and used my private insurance - the pain was gone after 3 sessions. Get yourselves to GPs, or consider paying privately if you can stretch to it. Mine (London zone 2) would be £38/half hour session if I were paying out of pocket, and it's a complete game-changer!

NewMumToB3 · 25/09/2019 13:29

Thanks @Mintypea5 - I've joined x

BostonFern · 26/09/2019 14:36

Hi ladies, can I join the thread?
I'm due my first baby on November 27th, had an eventful few weeks health wise, and I've got a few health conditions that make me high risk, so I'm quite anxious at the moment. I'm hoping having ladies to talk to at a similar stage of pregnancy may help!

Mintypea5 · 26/09/2019 15:13

@BostonFern welcome! There's a link to our fab a few posts below too. It's a great source of fun. Advice and comfort.

Hopefully we can help you feel a bit at ease about your pregnancy risk

KatieKat88 · 26/09/2019 18:25

Hi @BostonFern! Hope you're doing ok at the moment.

Hi everyone, would you mind if I joined? Due date of 5th Nov but should be having an ELCS about a week before this. I’m so ready to meet baby as I really struggle with pregnancy (partly physically, but also bad anxiety)! I much prefer it once the baby is out 🤣. How is everyone else getting on?

Catching up from a few posts ago, but I haven’t started packing a hospital bag. I’ll probably do it at about 37 weeks. I have two DC and when I was induced at 39 weeks, and also had a c section at 39 weeks, neither baby showed any sign of coming naturally 🤣.

Also, I had a silvercross with DC1. It was pretty and I loved the car seat/infant carrier, but it was a very heavy pushchair and wasn’t the easiest to manoeuvre! I ended up having to get a mountain buggy duet second time round, which we’ll use now, as the silvercross pram couldn’t become a double buggy and there were no buggy boards or anything!

brighteye3986 · 27/09/2019 08:08

Hi all, due 4th November but will be finding out on Tuesday when baby will be delivered due to GD and baby's size... have a scan on Monday to see how big he is- at 32 weeks he was estimated at 5lbs 5ozs. I will be 35 weeks exactly on Monday so hope if he hasn't gotten too big in 3 weeks although it doesn't feel like he has much space left in there anymore!

BostonFern · 27/09/2019 08:33

Thanks @KatieKat88 and @Mintypea5 🙂

I hope we all managed to get as good a night's sleep as you can in the third trimester! I too find I'm so hot these days I'm throwing the covers off all the time, then there's the trips to the bathroom!

DP and I are going to try to get the cot and bedside crib put up this weekend. I think we need to try to find a balance of getting the last baby jobs done, antenatal classes and enjoying these last weekends as a couple before baby arrives.

Weathergirl1 · 27/09/2019 09:10

@BostonFern someone used the analogy that it's like carrying an internal hot water bottle around all the time - no wonder we're feeling hot!

Rubbish night sleep again for me. Woke up for the third time at about 4.30 and felt hungry. DH went downstairs to get me oaty crackers (I forgot to bring my snack tin upstairs with me before bed!). Had two, still couldn't get back to sleep so gave up and came downstairs. Had a bowl of all bran while I pottered around. Eventually went back upstairs as DH was waking up at about 6.30 and managed about 2 more hours sleep. Woke up absolutely ravenous again - I've just had two boiled eggs and soldiers and I could eat the same again! 🤷

fabaga · 27/09/2019 09:20

@BostonFern I'm so warm at night too it's ridiculous. But without the duvet I'm chilly! Hmm

Had my flu jab yesterday so left arm really sore, which meant I could only really sleep on my right side Sad very uncomfortable last night.

Pharmacist was really helpful and recommended my partner get a flu jab too, she pointed out that you don't want someone with flu in the house with a newborn and given we're all due in November it cover the whole of the winter so worth doing! Thought I'd pass on the tip.

KatieKat88 · 27/09/2019 20:42

@fabaga good tip, I need to get mine booked in still anyway.

Yes to being ridiculously hot all of the time! Also I only have one pair of shoes that fit me as my feet have swollen Confused
