@barnyb I read that too but after 2 MCs and with a genetic neuromuscular condition to potentially pass on I don't want to do anything that could harm baby whilst all the important neural things are happening ... and even then I’ll worry as the muscle will be forming all the time - hence I’m thinking the vegan no nasties one might be okay for me (and my anxiety). Maybe.

@Keyboard91 yeah totally get it! I'm the biggest anxious thing going !!! ahhh I wonder if there will be a time when we don't worry?? Probably not!! 😩

barnyb · 14/08/2019 18:07

@Disney1010 I usually dye my own hair but the hairdressers that cuts my hair said they could do it for me with a different type of dye. So might treat myself to that at some point :) x

barnyb · 14/08/2019 18:08

@Naylor19 great news about scan :) x

barnyb · 14/08/2019 18:09

@Naylor19 my husbands birthday is the 28th March it's a lovely time of year! Sometimes it's been on Easter weekend :) xx

SLT90 · 14/08/2019 18:09

@blondie87 congrats on a good scan 😊😊

Is it weird that I now can't remember how it feels to be my old non-pregnant self without nausea. Sometimes it feels like I will feel like this forever!! My whole body feels so uncomfortable and I can't imagine enjoying food again haha really hoping it doesn't stay the whole pregnancy 🤞🤞having such a burpy day today 🤢 9 weeks tomorrow so only a few more weeks to go until more exciting things start happening!

barnyb · 14/08/2019 18:11

@Dinosauraddict oh so sorry your so poorly! Iv also been having hideous burps! Which actually make it 10x worse!!! Hope you feel better soon! Xx

barnyb · 14/08/2019 18:12

@blondie87 great news on scan. I'm 11 weeks today! How are you feeling ? Xx

Naylor19 · 14/08/2019 18:17

@barnyb thankyou, we've not got any birthdays in that month in the family so be lovely I'm sure! I have an inkling my dates may change again but we shall see! x

barnyb · 14/08/2019 18:22

@Naylor19 ah that's lovely then! I have a big family and we basically have a birthday in every month of the year! So didn't really matter when baby was due! They are all expensive 😂

Naylor19 · 14/08/2019 18:45

@barnyb ours are all August - January time! My nephew was born on my husbands birthday so they share the day! X

Jesskir89 · 14/08/2019 19:42

Sorry girls just catching up @Dinosauraddict I missed that so you could have got away with it lol. Hope you're feeling better. @Naylor19 she didn't tell me what my measurements were just said 8 weeks on the day. And brill about your scan mines exactly the week before but I'll be 13 weeks then so I've got the private one booked for next week :)

krp14 · 14/08/2019 21:03

Everything’s looking nice and healthy! Measuring 5 days less than expected at 8+2 but I’m happy all is in the right place haha!

threegreensheep · 14/08/2019 21:04

@oksim that's good to hear, going to try and get in at GP tomorrow with my best 'I'm a healthcare professional too and you will listen' head on ha and hope I get the good stuff. I'm just a bit nervous of going to EPU and being judged as don't think I have hyperemesis. Glad it working for you!

threegreensheep · 14/08/2019 21:09

Also, got my scan date through - 6th Sept. Seems so far away. Will be 12+4 so fine dates wise but was hoping it might be this month at least. Silly!

avocadoincident · 14/08/2019 21:29

Trying to catch up with all this action!
@Dinosauraddict I really feel for you. I had exactly the same last week and I've never been so ill. Have you got other children to look after? Can you farm them out to people?

@blondie87 I'm a sahm as I'm still on a career break from my last pregnancy. My dd2 is 16 months old. I've asked for 5 years off before returning which is up the discretion on the head teacher. I emailed the request this evening and now feel sick waiting for the reply.

avocadoincident · 14/08/2019 21:32

@barnyb @Keyboard91 is there a correlation between grey hair and being teachers? I've literally dyed mine tonight with normal dye

barnyb · 14/08/2019 21:51

@avocadoincident well I don't know about that! I'm not a teacher 😂🙈 I work in orthodontics 😬🦷
But the greys are coming in thick and fast! Literally ! I think it's the baby it's only been since I've been pregnant ! The baby is sucking the life out of me xx

Naylor19 · 14/08/2019 21:51

@Jesskir89 oh ok, well I hope the private one goes ok! They were brilliant at mine Smile I think I'll probably book another in at the start of next month! x

Dinosauraddict · 14/08/2019 21:54

Thanks everyone for the get well wishes! @avocadoincident no other DC here (just 3 dogs) so at least I don't have to entertain a toddler or anything and can just slob about! @Keyboard91 I was veggie partially because I don't really like a lot of meat (steak has never appealed to me and I've never eaten seafood for example) but also because I can't cope with the thought of eating a duck/lamb/whatever it may be. However I've so far had cravings for sausages and bacon - so had to give up on the veggie diet for now. MW says it's because baby needs protein...

Jesskir89 · 14/08/2019 22:10

@krp14 brilliant news and @Naylor19 for the price you might aslwell! I was afraid too many scans might be harmful but just me being over paranoid again lol. Mine next week will be my 3rd dh thinks I'm mad but if it helps me relax on my holiday it's 55 quid well spent!

Rojelio · 14/08/2019 22:14

Evening... bit random but I've just been on the Christmas bargain threads and spotted some baby changing bags reduced in Anorak for anyone who might be interested..

Dinosauraddict · 15/08/2019 05:35

Gosh @Jesskir89 if mine were £55 I would be having a lot more! Mine are £175 per early scan and then £125 after 14-ish weeks I think!

Jesskir89 · 15/08/2019 06:51

@Dinosauraddict wow! Have you shopped about? @Rojelio thank you :)

Dinosauraddict · 15/08/2019 07:11

No @Jesskir89 haven't shopped about as it was the same clinic that managed to get me pregnant on first cycle of ovulation stimulation, so I'm quite loyal! Grin
