Hi all, sorry no words of wisdom just joining in so I can have a bit of a moan. Nausea today has been awful, I've felt like I can hardly move. It's made me feel really down today as I'm only 7 weeks along and it seems to be really dragging, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will ease soon, it seems so long til 12 weeks and even then there's no guarantee that will be when it gets better.

DerbyshireGirly · 11/08/2019 18:46

Hi all, another March mum-to-be checking in. I'm 8 weeks along with my first, feeling a bit rough but very excited!

Yvonne1988 · 11/08/2019 20:34

@DerbyshireGirly welcome :) in 8 weeks too

@Cantrip I have felt really bad this weekend. Next level of exhaustion. Hopefully getting back out this week will help.

Back to work tomorrow. Was only supposed to have 1 shift on my own now it's turned to 2 and it stressing me out a bit. Luckily it won't be busy.

barnyb · 11/08/2019 21:44

@Cantrip hello! Yes I also feel super lazy !
Iv seriously let my normal cleaning routine and gardening slip! I'm lucky I don't have any other children to look after but I still feel guilty that my husband has done so much recently. Even after work he comes home and cleans the house. Floors, bathroom, dusting, he makes his lunches for the next day and also cooks his own dinner. Iv been really sickly recently and actually wasn't able to even look on the fridge ! Or open any kitchen cupboards. I'm getting better now but he's still doing a lot of the chores. I feel like hell but still feel so lazy! Because it's not like me at all! I think we just need to with it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ xxx

barnyb · 11/08/2019 21:48

@sprite25 hello! I was really bad at 6/7/8 weeks. It was terrible and I felt so depressed and sick of it! (Literally) 😂
Really struggled! I'm 11 weeks on weds and I'm feeling so much better now. I still get nausea at meal times and bed time but it's nothing like it was. so just hang in there and hopefully ul get a week of feeling better soon like I have had.!!
Xxx

Jesskir89 · 12/08/2019 07:40

Morning ladies and welcome to the new ladies. Worse night I've had yet last night. Sorry for the info but was poorly both ends last night then woke up in the middle of the night with awful pains :( felt like they were from my ovaries. Booking appointment at 9 so I'm going to mention it to the midwife. Has anyone started showing in early stages? I'm 8+3 today and feel so bloated.

Brandygirl27 · 12/08/2019 07:54

@jesskir89 Thankyou I am trying to drink so much but I don’t think it’s doing much, yes I was showing from 7 weeks it was ridiculous but my bump wasn’t that hard now I’m 11+2 and my bump is really hard and I really do look pregnant now, I hope your ok maybe you’ve caught a bug ? Xx

Jesskir89 · 12/08/2019 07:59

@brandygirl27 how you feeling today? And I'm glad you said that because I've got a bit of a belly anyway and with me not going to the gym I wondered if It was that but I defo feel like it's getting bigger already. I'm not sure if it's a bug I feel miles better today and it was the pain waking me up that freaked me out:(

Naylor19 · 12/08/2019 08:01

@Jesskir89 that's so strange last night was the worst for me too! Sounds like I was suffering similar to you, and I still feel dreadful this morning. I'm so bloated someone actually asked if I was pregnant yesterday Blush I told them I was just poorly and retaining water hence the bloat! Scan day finally, roll on 1pm!

Disney1010 · 12/08/2019 08:16

I've been sleeping badly the last few nights, waking up lots and having really weird dreams. I had to break out my maternity leggings this morning as my normal trousers have become uncomfortable!

Dinosauraddict · 12/08/2019 08:40

Ok I am totally freaking out. Currently 9+5 and in the last 20 mins got a really really bad pain in my tummy. Has been hurting (less painfully) for about 48 hours but I thought that was because I wore too tight (now) trousers the other day. Now I'm worried. I know it's not ectopic as have had 2 scans but what if something is wrong with baby?!? Anyone able to give me some reassurance? Confused

Keyboard91 · 12/08/2019 08:45

@Dinosauraddict what are your bowels like? And spotting? Have you done anything that involves those muscles in the last couple of days? Don’t panic yet xx

Keyboard91 · 12/08/2019 08:51

@Naylor19 good luck with your scan today ❤️ Let us know how it goes!

@Disney1010 I second you on the crazy dreams. Crazy vivid!

@barnyb my fiancé does everything round the house at the moment and I hate it ... buts it’s necessary at the mo. God knows what will happen when we do this when we already have a child.

@sprite25 I’m 7+4 and feeling pretty rubbish too

@Jesskir89 do mention to midwife but maybe it was just a quick nasty bug?

OP posts:
Disney1010 · 12/08/2019 08:55

@keyboard91 it's harder with a child! I have a 10 month old who is going through a clingy phase as well as teething, and it's so hard when you feel sick/just need a nap!

Naylor19 · 12/08/2019 09:00

@Keyboard91 thankyou, I'll keep you posted. Got such a bad tummy today, possibly nerves?! And I can't stop heaving so I'll be travelling with a bowl to the appointment! I was hoping to have a busy morning to help distract me but I feel so rotten I can barely move off the sofa!

Dinosauraddict · 12/08/2019 09:01

@Keyboard91 no spotting at all, and bowels seems normal. Usual morning sickness today, but have managed some fruit for breakfast. Any idea what this could be? Confused Am genuinely considering going to A&E and begging them to check me over, but don't know if that's overkill.

Naylor19 · 12/08/2019 09:10

@Dinosauraddict not sure if this is helpful, but I had severe stomach pain a week or so ago, I did go to a&e as hadn't had scan yet and wasn't sure if eptopic but it turned out to be a cyst on my ovary causing the pain. They told me it should resolve itself in time. Could it possible be that? Where abouts is the pain?

Keyboard91 · 12/08/2019 09:11

@Dinosauraddict it could be trapped wind (can be very painful) or could be your muscles readjusting. No spotting is a good sign. You could call your midwife (if you’ve met her yet?). If not, call the EPU. They would be preferable to A&E as you could be sat there for hours for them to say they can’t do anything through them. If you’re worried, which you (understandably) are, you should call and make sure they see you. Cry down the phone if you need to, make them understand you need to know.

@Naylor19 could be nerves or could just be hormones as they can send you both ways.

OP posts:
Dinosauraddict · 12/08/2019 09:43

@Naylor19 pain is at top of tummy and down the left. No idea if that could indicate cyst? I have PCOS and had scan last weds and they didn't see anything weird?

@Keyboard91 Just checked and neither of my local EPUs take self-referrals, you have to be sent there by GP or emergency dr. I don't have my medical notes on my so no idea how to get hold of midwife. Am a bloody idiot should have saved all numbers in my phone!

Keyboard91 · 12/08/2019 09:45

@Dinosauraddict try ringing. The second one I used doesn’t take self referrals ... but they took me. Xx

OP posts:
Naylor19 · 12/08/2019 09:54

@Dinosauraddict mine was top and right side and my cysts on my right ovary. Could of developed in the past week maybe? I'd get checked out just for peace of mind, as I know how worrying this time is! If you ring gp and lay it on thick they should refer you. Mine did when I was suffering from it, sent me over to clinic same day. Hope it all works out ok x

Yvonne1988 · 12/08/2019 11:00

I'm the opposite today probably the least discomfort iv had for 2 weeks. Back at work and a teeny bit pink when I wipe. I'm definitely not doing too much so maybe it's just cos I am actually doing something. I can't leave again

MunchyMunchkin · 12/08/2019 11:02

Had my latest reassurance scan this morning. All good a measuring a little ahead.

Dinosauraddict · 12/08/2019 11:25

Congrats @MunchyMunchkin

@Keyboard91 and @Naylor19 having been through 111 and A&E, I'm now sat in an EPU. Just waiting to be seen...

Naylor19 · 12/08/2019 11:37

@Dinosauraddict glad your getting checked over, I'm sure it will all be fine but better to be safe Smile hope you don't have too long a wait! x
