Hi ladies,
Excited to say that today I got my BFP and am due 1st January 2020!
This will be my third baby but my partners first. I have two children aged 9 & 7 from a previous relationship.
Anyone else due around New Year? Sticky beans to all! 😀💗💙

I want to book but I'm s a red to book yet in case it's tempting fate. I'm barely even "late"

Herewegoagain19 · 07/05/2019 16:27

I booked mine 2 days after I found out!

SleepingStandingUp · 07/05/2019 16:32

Tbf Here I have only known 3 days lol

dumdumdeedum · 07/05/2019 17:21

I'm slightly confused is someone having twins? Double congrats if that is the case. I've a complete brain fog today, thought it was Wednesday and got in a bit of a stress rushing about but I didn't need to as it's Tuesday Shock

I'm feeling exhausted and I think therefore my patience is not good. I also have a 3 year old. I've been a bit snappy which is not ideal. Is grumpiness an early pregnancy system Blush

Good morning ladies!

It's a BFP from me! EDD 13th Jan! This is my second pregnancy but will be my first baby ... we had a MMC earlier in the year. This was our first month of trying again and we've been lucky enough to get another positive! Crossing everything that things go ok this time round!!

How are we all? Any major symptoms yet? I've had a couple of cramps and tiredness but nothing much more than that yet ... sickness came around 7-8 weeks last time, so not looking forward to that!

SleepingStandingUp · 08/05/2019 08:28

Same date Kmic, Congratulations.

Well I haven't puked again bit apparently rice is also off. Boak.

KMic · 08/05/2019 08:37

@SleepingStandingUp aww yay! #EDDfriends 🤣

mumsey2be · 08/05/2019 09:07

welcome @KMic! I also had a MMC so I know how anxious that can make you second time round - yet I feel strangely calm and sure this time. I am 5 weeks today. Havent booked any scans or anything yet. Occasionally a bit queasy but mainly just tired at the moment, plus annoying 5am 'waking up chirpy' are my only symptoms. Happy Weds everyone x

KMic · 08/05/2019 09:11

@mumsey2be aww I'm so glad someone is in the same boat as me! (Well - I'm sorry for what you went through of course!!) but it's nice to know someone GETS it! ... I'm not anxious yet ... I think I will be around scan time!! Might book in for an early private one around 8 weeks to be sure ... I'm just EXCITED!!!

Avocuddles · 08/05/2019 15:14

Congrats @KMic! I think my due date is similar to yours though could be up to a week earlier as my cycle was all over the place and didn't actually think I was ovulating naturally so a happy surprise! Rang the hospital yesterday to take me off the IVF waiting list and they said you'll be surprised how often it happens that way - crossing my fingers that it sticks. Not many symptoms from me other than intermittent cramping and a bit of boob ache. Highlight of my day at the moment is when I get home from work and get out of my underwired bra!

KMic · 08/05/2019 15:20

Hi @Avocuddles ... thank you! ... aww seems like you've been through a process if you were on the IVF list! So big congrats to you!! How long have you been TTC? First pregnancy?

We're due off on holiday on the 29th, so i'll be around 7-8 weeks at that point .. hoping the sickness holds off until our return!! Although we are all inclusive and last time eating constantly helped so it's good to know I will always have food to hand when I need it! Haha! I plan to enjoy the symptom free period whilst it lasts!!

Mumof4andahalf · 08/05/2019 17:50

Hi all I think I might be joining you!
I'm doubting if it's a 'real' positive.
Backstory....had a blighted ovum in April and this is the first pos, hubby is on citalapram which stopped ejaculation AND is supposed to affect sperm
Please tell me I'm not seeing things!

No I def see that without even opening the picture. Congratulations

Bayleyf · 08/05/2019 18:31

I see it Mum! Congrats! Smile

Mumof4andahalf · 08/05/2019 18:44

Thankyou!! Do you think it should be darker as it's an early clear blue and I'm 4 days late xx

Avocuddles · 08/05/2019 18:56

@KMic yes first pregnancy so all new and scary / exciting in equal measures. We'd been TTC for a year but it appeared that I wasn't ovulating since coming off the mini pill so after a barrage of tests for me (and one for hubby) we'd been referred on for treatment about a month ago. It's when we stopped so actively 'trying' that this happened so feeling very blessed!

Avocuddles · 08/05/2019 18:57

@Mumof4andahalf definitely a good line there, congratulations!

Mumof4andahalf · 08/05/2019 19:05

@Avocuddles Thankyou so much! Hope this little one sticks

KMic · 08/05/2019 19:43

@Avocuddles exciting!!! Fingers crossed it all goes swimmingly for you!!

Defo a positive @Mumof4andahalf ... welcome to the club!!

Mumof4andahalf · 08/05/2019 19:45

Thanks @KMic
I'm a little nervous but very excited!!
This is baby 5 and I'm old 🤣🤣 42
I'm due jan 10th anyone else the same date?
Congratulations to everyone 💙💕

KMic · 08/05/2019 19:46

I'm 13th ... so not far behind you! 😁

Kinsters · 09/05/2019 03:30

KMic I think there are quite a lot of us with previous MC/chemicals. Everything I've read makes out like it's a low chance but it seems to common! I guess 30% isn't that low a chance (and maybe higher than that if you include earlier chemicals).

Last time we had a scan and saw a good heartbeat but then I miscarried a week later anyway. So in a way I'm looking forward to hopefully some reassurance at my first scan next week but also I don't think the reassurance will last long.

That's interesting that others have the top of leg pain as well! The past couple of days my tiredness and nausea have really ramped up. Got an exercise class this evening, going to see if that helps with the tiredness or makes me feel even worse. Pleased that my boobs are growing a bit though! They're normally so small so any growth is really noticeable!

Mumof4andahalf · 09/05/2019 06:42

@Kinsters I think being able to test early means people are more aware of chemicals, I've been a nightmare for testing from a week before until this time! It's part of the reason I have forced myself not too for the last few months, I'd rather not know. I agree with you, miscarriage is more common than you realise, maybe people don't talk about it very much but on forums we're all anonymous and it's a safe place?
Hoping everyone has lovely sticky beans this time xx

Kinsters · 09/05/2019 07:10

Yes, I'm normally terrible for testing early! This cycle I didn't but only because I got my ovulation date wrong so thought I was a few days behind where I actually was.

You're probably right about it being easier on a forum. But also because it just comes up here. Like when I've spoken to people about TTC in real life they're normally just as open as here but it can be a bit of a taboo subject sometimes! Not just miscarriage but the whole TTC topic.

KMic · 09/05/2019 07:20

@Kinsters I agree they are way more common than we think ... in my precious message I just meant that it was nice that someone understood the shock of a MMC... so have all pregnancy symptoms fully in place and no sing or MC at all when you get to the 12 week scan and see no heartbeat, it's the shock to deal with as well as the actual MC. I think for me at the time though as it was my first pregnancy I just assumed if I MC if would happen straight away, I hadn't really heard of MMC and have only met people in forums like this who have actually had one, none of my friends had. So I do think they are a little rarer. (And thank goodness they are as we all know pregnancy is an emotional rollercoaster as it is!!)

I'm just approaching this pregnancy with a more positive yet realistic outlook and taking every day as it comes. That's all you can do at the end of the day Smile xx
